Chapters. 65. Thank you, for loving me!
Edward drove his car at a moderate speed. His right hand held the steering wheel, while his left hand held Laura's right.
“Ed.?”
The man wearing the sunglasses turned his head briefly towards the girl beside him. Then he focused on the streets.
“What's up, baby?”
Laura placed her left hand on Edward's left. The girl rubbed a large hand that often gave her a gentle touch.
“What's your house no photos of Devano's papa? So Devano doesn't know about the papa?”
The girl was still curious about the Edward family story.
“Many, baby. But everything is kept in Felisha and David's room. Since David died, Felisha no longer occupied their rooms. She used the other room.” Edward obviously.
“Then, did Miss Felisha never return to that room?”
“Often, baby. When Devano's not home. Felisha will open the room. Cleaning all David.” photo frames Edward breathed.
“David really likes cleanliness, therefore at all times Felisha will clean their room. He always thought David would come there to rest. But, he himself is not ready to sleep there.” The man said at length.
Laura rubbed Edward's hand. Gives strength to the man.
“Then, why does Miss Felisha not want to stay in the city with you, Ed?” Ask Laura again.
“That's because she doesn't want to be away from David, baby. All the memories of that man were there. His grave was there with the graves of his father and father. Therefore Felisha wants to stay there.”
Edward's eyes warmed up again. She was like Laura, when she remembered her family she would cry.
“Mrs Felisha loves her husband very much, yes.”
Edward nodded confirming the girl's words.
“David is Felisha's first love. So are you, Laura. You are my first love.”
Laura turned her eyes the other way. His cheeks blushed perfectly, hearing the confession that came out of Edward's lips. However, he could not answer the expressions of the heart of men today.
Not without reason, the girl had experienced rejection from the family of her former lover. He doesn't want it to happen again.
Especially after he heard Edward's story about Felisha being possessive to the man. He didn't want to expect too much from Edward.
The man may love her, but what about her mother and twin sister? Is it possible to accept an orphan girl who does not have a legacy like her?

Without feeling their journey for more than 3 hours, now they have arrived in the underground parking penthouse building occupied by Edward.
The building was one of the properties owned by the man. He therefore occupies the most luxurious unit in the building.
“You see, your car is already beautifully parked here?” Edward pointed towards Laura's old car.
They got out of the car. Edward took out the girl's suitcase. Then lock the car.
A security guard there came to them.
“Excuse me, boss. This is the key.”
The officer handed over Laura's car keys to Edward.
“Thanks, sir.” Laura and Edward said at the same time.
They take the elevator to the unit they occupy. Arriving at the penthouse the two men of different ages walked hand in hand towards the room.
Edward took the suitcase into the dressing room. Laura put her backpack on the desk she used to study at.
The girl walked to the bed. He put his phone on the nightstand.
Degs..
Laura gasped at the object on the nightstand to the right of the bed. He turned to look at the nightstand on the left side of the bed.
Again he flinched.
“Ed..” shouted the girl instantly.
“What's up, baby?” The man who had wanted to put Laura's belongings back in place, immediately ran towards the bed, when he heard the girl's scream.
“What's up, baby?” Edward held both of the girl's shoulders.
“Itu..” Laura pointed towards the nightstand alternately.
“Oh.” Edward smiled sweetly. He then walked towards the nightstand on the right and grabbed the thing.
“Beauty yes?” Edward pointed at the thing. A picture frame showing Laura using a toga during her High School graduation.
“It's also beautiful.” Edward pointed at the other frame. The frame he stole from inside the girl's room. Yesterday when he left the orphanage, he told people to bring the frames to Johan. After that, he asked Johan to put it in his room.
“Where do you think you're from, baby?” Edward grinned. He put the picture back in its place.
“Do not say if you—,” Edward nodded his head before Laura finished speaking.
“When are you there?”
Edward pulled Laura's body, carried her on the bed, and sat her on the man's lap. Laura is facing forward.
Edward hugged the girl tightly from behind. She put her chin on Laura's shoulder.
“The night you left this place, I went looking for you. My first goal was to ask Felisha for an explanation as to what she came here for without telling me. After that, I went to the parlor to look for you. And Maria's mother asked me to rest in your room. I stole that frame from there.” The man chuckled at the end of his words.
“Wait, you said Miss Felisha came here without telling you?”
Edward nodded his head. She did not know that her twin sister had come to town.
Usually the woman never wants to come to the city. Felisha did not want to leave her home for too long. Afraid that David would come home, he would not be home.
Edward had previously tried to take Felisha to a psychiatric consultation. But the woman refused. She is not a crazy woman to be mentally examined.
“But, Ed. At that time Miss Felisha said that she would meet you at the office.” Obviously Laura.
“Baby, he was deliberately here to see you.” Said Edward.
“A-what? So she knows about me?”
“Iya.”
Edward told her what Felisha had told her the other day.
“She started to get suspicious of you when you sent me a message, asking me I had lunch?”
“Then you answered what time it was?” Ask the girl again. She remembers Felisha saying that Edward said she was a housekeeper.
“Baby, sorry. That time I said if you—,”
“If I was the assistant who takes care of this house.” Cut the girl quickly.
“I'm sorry, baby. I didn't mean.” Edward drowned his face on the girl's back.
“I'm just scared, he'll do something to you. Baby, believe. There is no intention of me to demean you. I love you so much, therefore I'm not—,”
Laura flipped her body, she scooped both cheeks of the man. And put a kiss on Edward's lips.
“I understand, Ed. You just want to protect me. Thanks though. Because you loved me so deeply. But please, give me some time. I'm not ready, it's too soon for me. We've only known for a month over a few days.” Said the girl at length.
“I'll always be waiting for you, baby. And I assure you, you will only be mine.”
