Elsewhere, but still in the same building, a pair of lovers were busy chatting while preparing lunch.

Who else if not Johan and also Monica. Usually on weekends, Johan will spend time at the lover's house, but this time Monica is the one who spends time at the man's place.

“I know what you're thinking, Johan Purnomo. Don't you dare imagine the body of Miss Laura.”

Monica brandished a knife at the lover.

It made Johan shudder in horror. He is not married and has no children. Do not let him die at a young age because he killed his own lover.

“What do you mean, Ed?” The girl was confused to hear the words of the adult man. Why did Edward suddenly ask her to live hard, did Hugo's business go bankrupt?

“Ed, a-pa, is your company bankrupt?” Ask the girl carefully.

Edward chuckled at the question from Laura. The man then kissed the back of the girl's hand.

“More than bankrupt, baby.” He said, then the man laughed.

“Ed. What's the matter exactly?” Ask Laura again. He really wanted to know, but the man was joking.

“Ra.” Edward faced towards Laura still clasping the girl's hand.

“Ra, I'm sorry. I once said there would be no more rejection for you later on.” The man sighed slowly.

While Laura listened, what would the man say.

“But.. I'm sorry, Ra. I have no power, to—,” the man's head lowered, he could not continue his sentence.

“Ed, what's up?” Laura ventured to lift the adult man's chin. Make their views collide.

“Ra, my mama.”

Laura smiled, she began to understand what the man was going to say.

“Did your mama not approve of you with me?” Ask the girl. But the man's head shook.

“Then?”

“Mama wants to introduce me to her friend's child.” Said the man softly.

Laura gave her sweetest smile. Just because he was going to be introduced to a girl, this man had planned a difficult life with her.

“Why are you smiling?” Ask the man not to believe it.

“Indeed where is the fault if your mama wants to introduce you to her friend's child?” Laura asked a question.

“Ra. What if mom wants me to marry that girl?”

The girl flinched. He was not sure of the feelings he had for Edward. However, hearing the man marry another girl, made him unwilling.

“Did your mama know about us?”

Edward nodded his head.

“I refused my mother's wishes, I accidentally confessed about our relationship.”

Laura's eyes were perfectly rounded hearing the adult man's confession. Soon he let go of Edward's hand, then hit the man.

“Edward Hugo, how could you be so careless? What do you think of me?” The girl relentlessly threw her fist at Edward.

“Gosh, your mama must be thinking badly of me, Ed.” The pounding blow slowly weakened, Laura dropping her hand over Edward's thigh.

“I'm sorry, baby. I really had no choice but to admit everything. I hope mom will cancel her intention of introducing me to the girl.”

Edward grabbed Laura's body and grabbed her. He planted a kiss on the crown of the girl.

“I'm sorry, Laura. All I have in mind is you, I don't want to part from you.” The man muttered over Laura's head.

The girl looked up, she then straightened her body, folded one leg on the sofa, and sat down facing the man.

“Why refuse to meet the girl?” Laura asked back.

Edward breathed slowly. He again held his girl's fingers.

“I don't want to meet another girl. Enough you're the only girl I know in my life.”

“You're too much, Mr. Hugo. Why not just say yes to your mother's request, just get acquainted right?”

Edward's head shook again.

“I'm sorry, Ra. Ma—,”

“Why did you keep apologizing, Ed?”

“I'll speak honestly to you, but promise me, you'll never leave me?” And the girl's head nodded.

“I promise. Will no longer leave you, Mr. Hugo.”

“Ra, actually mama wants me to marry her friend's son. That's why I refused by telling you about us.”

Laura flinched back, will she feel the heartache again?

The girl's head shook. He doesn't want it to happen again. Especially until there is an insult to his family.

“Let's get married, Ra. Then we leave all this behind, and start our new life.” Edward re-captured Laura's body. Spreading all the sorrow that hit his heart.

“But, what about your mom and also Miss Felisha?” Laura did not reject the man's invitation, nor did she agree.

“Felisha supports our relationship. I'm sure mama will also definitely support us, but maybe not now.” Edward drowned his head in the overdraft of the girl's neck, inhaling in the girl's scent.

“Ed, why don't you just obey what your mama wants?” The girl's hand gently rubbed Edward's back.

“No, never will. Because I just want to marry you.”
