Karen and Ray rush to Ray's car, which is parked in front of Rudi Bruggman's office, to catch up with Marsel who has left in his own car. The three of them decided to report Kamala's disappearance to the police station, without the need to involve Rudi Bruggman, because Marsel did not want his master to worry. Marsel is sure, enough he and Ray alone, have been able to overcome all this.
Ray stops his attempts to get gas, when he sees Karen having trouble fitting a seat belt.
“Karen, I think, it looks like you should go home,” suggested Ray, began to be unhappy with the presence of Karen, which instead of helping but could have given new problems for Ray.
“No, I will accompany you,” reject Karen, and finally she managed to put on the seat belt.
“How about your husband? I don't want him to misunderstand,” Ray's getting upset. Karen's always stubborn, and that can't change. Even in precarious conditions like this, Karen never tried to reduce Ray's burden.
“Not a problem,” says Karen, insensitive. “Martin will definitely understand,”
Ray showed a row of his teeth, grinning unhappily. “If he is someone who easily understands, he will not force you to divorce me,” as good as Ray, relax, but success makes Karen stunned.
The woman was astonished at Ray, with her frown full of question marks.
“Already, Ray,” Karen upset. “That's not important now,”
Ray nodded, choosing to give up, because Karen always won in arguments. “I don't want to know, you have to convince your husband if there's a problem,”
Ray rushes to turn on the steering wheel, following Marsel who has already left for the nearest police station. There, Marsel immediately made a report and met one of the officials who had been on good terms with Rudi Bruggman and his business. So the report from Marsel must have been processed immediately, given Kamala's status as the son of Rudi, one of the richest people in the country.
“Ray, we can't just accuse people. We must have proof that Eros was the one who kidnapped Kamala,”. He repeated all the details that the police described to Ray who was waiting outside.
“I'll see the Eros family. Surely they know where the kid went,”
Marsel. “They won't help. They hate Kamala,”
“What?”
“After Kamala refused the marriage, the Eros family hated Kamala and the Rudi Bruggman family. I'm sure they won't help,”
Karen is a little forward, seems to want to talk, but does not want to interrupt or pretentious. So before speaking, he slightly raised his hand as if asking for permission. And Marsel, though still confused as to why Karen was following them, still allowed Karen to talk.
“How about we open the campus CCTV?” fresh Karen. “For sure they want to do it, considering Kamala's status as Rudi's son,”
Marcel and Ray looked at each other. The idea of Karen is quite brilliant, which makes Marsel not want to think twice just to contact his colleagues who work in the office of the department where Kamala attended college.
Now, Ray and Karen are alone and clumsy. Ray invites Karen to get out of the police station, standing in front of the building with an uncomfortable stiff attitude.
“I'd better take you back to campus,” suggested Ray. “Let me and Marsel take care of everything,”

Ray drives at moderate speed, splitting the road into Kamala's campus, feeling a little calmer than when he first realized Kamala had gone missing. The advice from Karen about CCTV is a brilliant idea that is reasonable enough to be immediately cracked down by Marsel, so Ray believes Kamala can be quickly found.
Karen keeps stealing glances at Ray, her ex-husband. The more Karen looked, the more Karen knew, if Ray never changed. Ray is Ray, the kind-hearted guy who always smacks. Never in life, Ray can surpass others thanks to his pettiness. Ray always relented, choosing to be a righteous and uncontroversial person. And now, Karen left the good man alone without really knowing the reason behind Karen's departure.
"Why you?" ray asked in surprise, because Karen kept clenching her hands and wiping her eyes that seemed not wet.
"I just. .. remember our past," answered Karen honestly, but didn't mean to tease Ray. He just wanted to put a burden on his heart.
"Free, Karen," Ray responded with a bitter smile. "The past will only be left behind,"
Ray's right. Even though she hasn't changed, Karen should understand, Ray still has to change for her. Ray can't treat Karen like he used to. Like, Ray lost one percent of himself, but there are still ninety-nine percent left, which will continue to make him the same Ray.
Just one more kilometer away, and Ray arrives at Kamala campus. But, suddenly two mini vans block the road of his car to make Ray had to brake suddenly. Ray and Karen both fall forward, held back by tightening seat belts so their heads don't hit the car's dashboard.
"What's up, Ray?" karen asked confused.
Ray shook his head, and hurriedly removed his seat belt and went out to protest at the owner of the two mini vans. But Karen chose to stay in the car, because she believed Ray could solve everything by himself.
But unexpectedly, one of the biggest bodies, suddenly punched Ray's stomach, which almost collapsed if the defense of his body was not balanced.
Karen shouted from inside the car, and rushed out. Just as he was about to close the car door, suddenly Martin's figure was already standing rigidly behind him, surrounded by a sinister air that Karen had never felt before.
"M-Martin?" karen exclaimed, shocked to see Martin's presence.
"Why are you surprised to see me?" martin asked suspiciously.
"Martin, it's not what you think it is" Karen shook her head, fully understanding what's going on.
But Martin didn't budge. He smiled broadly, each Ray receiving one punch from the five-man mad thugs. Karen clenched her hands together, pleading with Martin.
"Martin, please. Ray is innocent. It's not what you think it is" Karen tried to explain the truth, but Martin was already drowning in a sea of jealousy.
Martin immediately pulled Karen's hand, invited her into the car. But Karen refused, staying firm where she stood, shouting Ray's name and telling the crazy thugs to stop beating Ray.
"Martin, stop!!" shouted Karen, blindly, half depressed and frightened to see Ray who was getting battered.
"You provoked my anger" said Martin. "Do you think I can't kill him? You're wrong to underestimate me, Karen,"
