“Let me go.. “ groaned Karen, because now Martin is pushing and pressing it against the wall, as hard as he can.

“Tell honest!! You were deliberately angry, in order to have a reason to go back to Ray, right?!” snapped Martin. Both of his eyes were wet, with a tinge of redness. Looks pathetic.

“I should be angry, not you! You betrayed me, Martin!” Karen won't lose. Suppose that Martin is currently banging his head against the wall even though, Karen will still defend herself.

“I told you, we're under threat. Sophie will kill you if Petrina and I don't get married,”

Karen laughs. “Married? You guys even did this before getting married!”

“Karen, please understand my position,” Martin started to lower his voice. “I must have children soon, or Paul will give his entire fortune to the child of Sierra,” Martin explained with a look of compassion.

Not willing to waste a chance, Karen immediately pushed back Martin's body. Suddenly he pulled out a small knife from his pocket. He pointed the knife at Martin.

“Do not dare approach me,” prevent Karen. “Lucky, I always carry this thing anywhere, because with you it is never safe,”

Martin had no choice. He tries to get away from Karen, afraid that the woman suddenly brutally stabs him.

“Karen, please ... understand,”

Karen shakes. “Never look for me again,”

“I just love you, Karen. I couldn't have lived without you,” Martin said in despair.

“But I can't give you a child. You can be with that woman,”

“You misunderstood. Please, listen to my reason first,” Martin is about to come forward, but Karen hastily brandished her knife.

“Do not approach! I'm not messing around going to stab you,” Karen's eyeballs are shaking, full of emotion and fear.

Hearing the growing commotion from outside the apartment door, Petrina soon blurred. But he was quite surprised when Karen greeted him with a knife. With both hands held high, Petrina carefully stood beside Martin.

“Karen Willis, I will explain everything to you,” Petrina said.

Petrina kept trying to convince Karen to lower her knife. With a gasp of breath, Karen slowly lowered her knife. As quickly as lightning Martin brushed off the knife, kicking it as far as he could so that it could not be taken by Karen.

Karen glared, put up a defense and was about to run. Petrina reached for his hand.

“Let me explain everything. Please, give me a chance,” pinta Petrina, put on a pleading expression.

So Karen agrees to go back inside the apartment, to listen to Petrina's reasons.

“We both have to get married, for the sake of everything,” concluded Petrina, after explaining everything.

Karen set her breath that continues to roar, very trying to control emotions.

“Martin wants his treasure and saves you, while I, I want to further add to my family connection,” Petrina leaned forward. “I don't love Martin, and he only loves you, Karen,”

“I don't need to be saved,” refutes Karen.

“You don't know Sophie!” sambar Martin's. “That book, no, I mean my foster mother will do everything she can to launch her plan,”

Karen stood up and did not forget to bring her bag. Martin also stood up, trying to prevent Karen's departure, but was pushed hard.

“I can't stay with you anymore,” Karen said. “I let you do anything,”

Karen's eyes were flat, yet there was a hint of pain behind her speech. Martin continued to plead, but Karen's decision was unanimous. He chose to leave, without his clothes. He also left after handing Martin a black card and car keys.

“Karen, don't be like this,” Martin is trying to reach Karen's hand that is getting away.

But unexpectedly, Petrina actually held Martin's body so as not to pursue Karen. Petrina shook her head, hinting at Martin to give Karen time to calm down.

Karen's cry was unstoppable. More and more flowing, with a painful chest and shortness of breath drying out. He wanted to go back to the moment before he caught Martin and Petrina, cursing himself, why he had to go home at the wrong time. If Karen had stayed longer on campus, she probably wouldn't have seen it all. Perhaps she is still a naive Karen, who is thought to want only Martin's treasure.

Although the dozens of pairs of employees' eyes that were bowed to him were filled with a million questions in the heart, about the size of Karen's eyes, he was already indifferent. He kept walking, coming out of the skyscraper with a constant weeping.

His heart was so sore that when he tried to swallow, it felt incapable. All she had in mind right now was to get as far away from Martin and everything related to her husband.

And Karen's headed to a nursing home, taking a taxi. She plans to visit her mother, Rida, whom she has long left after marrying Martin. She is simply unable to explain to her mother about her divorce from Ray, and she is afraid that Sophie's spies will find this hiding place.

After marrying Ray and dealing with the White family, Karen decides to hide her frail mother to a nursing home where she once worked.

“Karen? You're Karen Stevens?” The receptionist approached Karen.

Karen who was still puffy just nodded, then the receptionist named Aris immediately hugged her full of warmth and longing.

“You haven't been here for a long time, Karen,” said Aris, stroking Karen's shoulder.

Karen smile. “I'm sorry. I'm a lot preoccupied with work,”

Aris smiled and nodded. “Tumben you're not with your husband? He came here first,”

The deg! Karen's heart surged at Aris's words.

“You mean?”

Aris is excited. “Yes, he just came, maybe 5 minutes ago. She's in your mother's room now,”

Karen's heart skipped a beat, with various bad preconceptions on her mind. Without much further ado, Karen immediately slides into Rida's room, hoping that her mother will be fine.

Has Martin found his mother? Or Sophie's man to hurt her mother? Many bad thoughts are now haunting Karen's head, along with her approaching footsteps.

With her heart still pounding, Karen slowly opened the door to Rida's room, almost without a sound. He took a little peek to see who was coming.

The handbag held by Karen immediately fell down, as Karen's eyes caught Ray's figure talking warmly full of laughter with the mother. Ray also occasionally gives a piece of apple he has peeled, to Rida.

Karen immediately smothered her mouth, trying to keep her voice from being heard. She ran away, left the room, came back crying but this time it was more painful. The pain that gnaws not only the heart, but also its joints that seem unable to stand.

Karen squatted in the bathroom, weeping and full of regret. Suppose he didn't leave Ray, maybe things wouldn't be this silent.
