The Mystery of Lost Memory

The Mystery of Lost Memory
Well-fortunate

"You'd better go" Ray wanted to talk to Karen, but her weakened tone made Karen stand in her place.

"Why are you always so stubborn?" lamented Ray, still with a blank look towards the wide river. "Your solitude is always strong, and I always have to bear the consequences,"

Karen wanted to get closer, trying to reach and help Ray's body and soul that seemed to float away easily. He also felt teary, trying to feel the pain and disappointment that Ray felt.

"I'll always be here for you, Ray," Karen responded.

Ray laughed, a little mocking. "Always here?" reworked. "You left me when things were tough,"

Karen nodded, not accepting. "Martin. I. .. I don't know if it's all a trap,"

"And you enjoyed it, right?" Ray moved his body, just to deal with Karen. "You enjoy being the wife of a rich man, don't you? Not like me, who's always lacking,"

Karen's eyes shook, unable to answer and only able to look at Ray with a sore heart.

"I've asked you to run away from here, but you rejected me" Karen said.

A mocking smile was again pinned on Ray's lips. "Why should I run away? Why not leave it properly? You doubt me for not being able to fight him?"

"Martin's not human, Ray. He ...he's a heartless demon. We can't fight it the right way,"

"Have you forgotten my identity?" sambar Ray fast. Now he brought his face closer to Karen, with a sharp look. "Have you forgotten who I am? I, Ray White, let go of everything for Karen?" Ray pressed every word on his sentence, patting his chest.

Karen tried to retreat a little, now did not dare to look at each other with Ray. Karen knows where Ray's talking is going. Karen wants to forget one hundred percent who Ray really is. She wants to portray Ray as a kind man who becomes her husband, without needing to remember about the origins of Ray's family that would only hurt Karen.

Looking at Karen who started to retreat and fell silent, Ray decided to stop. He stopped urging Karen, and once again focused his nanar view towards the vast river whose sides were filled with the sparkling lights of the beautiful city.

"I was never lucky. Always abandoned,"

When Ray's mood hit again, Karen was about to move forward. It felt like she wanted to immediately hold Ray in her arms, cry together and wake up from all these nightmares. The grievous reality that Karen had hoped for as a dream.

"Don't keep blaming yourself, Ray,"

Ray prepares to take his last cigarette, before Karen suddenly snatches and throws the cigarette away. But Ray was silent, resigned and did not want to protest. He actually put on a smile, slightly glanced at Karen with a shady look that made Karen's heart rustle violently. Karen must admit, she misses Ray a lot. Missed Ray's smile and affectionate gaze.

"You're still the same, Karen," Ray commented, continuing to smile at Karen.

"I don't like seeing you smoke!"

"Why?" sahut Ray, now back to face Karen. "Oh yeah, I hate smoking" Ray muttered to himself.

"When things get tough, you always spend a pack of cigarettes, and I'll have a fuss tomorrow" said Karen, a little quiet as she reminisced about her past.

Ray laughed out. "Why, Karen? Why are you like this?"

"You mean?"

"Why?" Ray began to put both of his hands on both of Karen's shoulders, which once again made Karen rustle violently.

In addition to missing Ray, it turns out that Karen also misses the touch of her ex-husband.

"Why do you keep coming and discussing the past with me?" continued Ray.

Karen blinked her eyes a few times. "You still ask why?"

Ray shook his head hard. "Don't try to frame me, Karen. I want to forget you. I want to forget everything about us,"

After shaking Karen's shoulder as if she wanted her ex-wife to wake up, Ray immediately turned away and was about to leave Karen. He felt that the longer he spent with Karen, the more his defenses cracked and he could do things he did not want to imagine.

But as Ray talks about Karen being stubborn, the woman immediately restrains Ray's hand and doesn't let him go.

"I don't want to forget you, Ray! Why do you always impose your will?" karen shouted, looking a little teary. "I don't want to take you out of my life. I regret. I want it all back to how it used to be,"

Ray inevitably had to stop, listening to all the complaints from Karen, but also could not do anything. Ray's disappointment mixed into one, causing him to start cursing himself for always being dumped and unlucky. He could do nothing when his ex-wife and future wife suddenly disappeared and left.

As if losing control of his own body, Ray resigned himself when Karen began to come to his side, hugged him tightly and was about to reach his face with the grip of a soft hand Karen who still very Ray remembered the sensation of touch.

"Ray, please ... come back to me" whispered Karen, who continued to trace Ray's face. "Let's wake up from this nightmare together,"

Karen advanced, a little tiptoe to bring their lips closer together. And still as it was, Ray stayed in place, unable to move.

The deg! Right in one kiss from Karen, Ray's heart suddenly surged, his heart pumping blood that made him feel like he was back. Without much thought, Ray spontaneously turned around and ran, without saying a word to Karen who stood up to bear the embarrassment.

Karen's back was hot cold, embarrassed and furious beyond measure. She had never faced this kind of humiliating rejection, let alone from the ex-husband she had thrown away. Karen's face heated up, with reddish cheeks, the result of her embarrassment. But Karen still wanted to act ordinary, as if nothing had happened. And after tidying up her clothes to shift the embarrassment, Karen turned around to leave the place immediately, when she saw Sierra standing not far from her.

Sierra stood relaxed, watching Karen with her stomach growing. The woman even waved her hand as Karen looked at her, then walked still in a relaxed manner to approach Karen.

"How does rejection feel, Karen?" scold Sierra.

Karen is wrong. So, Sierra's been watching his moves with Ray. "Are you going to complain to Martin?"

Sierra shook his head, with a faint smile. "I'm going to give you some good news" and he gave Karen a picture.

"This .." Karen observed the photo. "This is it, right, the medicine you used to give me in the forest house?"

Sierra nodded happily. Then he pulled out the photo Karen was holding. "I'm gonna help you get Martin to jail, with evidence of these drugs,"
