The Mystery of Lost Memory

The Mystery of Lost Memory
The True Self

Martin was silent, again reading one by one the words contained in the wedding invitation card light blue, which he was now holding. It was very clear that the names of Ray White and Kamala Rudi were written there, which made Martin widen. Today, the invitation arrived at his desk, two weeks after Martin ordered Jim to finish Ray off. But instead of the news of death, he gets a wedding invitation from Ray, who seems to deliberately challenge Martin.

How did Ray survive? Such was the question that kept buzzing in Martin's head, thinking of all possibilities that were almost zero percent. Martin could see with his own eyes, when Ray was very battered and almost dead, when Jim took him away to their hiding place to be finished off. How could Ray escape from there?

Then he remembered Jim. Ever since the shooting, Jim has been avoiding every phone call from him. When the old man picked him up, he always spoke briefly and hurriedly hung up, even reluctant to discuss Ray longer.

“Tuan .. “ Seth, Martin's new personal assistant, who replaced Sierra, finally came too.

After going through a long recruitment process, where Martin paid direct attention to the process of finding his new personal assistant this time. He wants to get the best, which can help him in everything. And finally, he got Seth, who he thought was very capable to be able to match Sierra who never escaped his mind.

“I have a task for you,” Martin gave the wedding invitation card to Seth.

“Investigate him. What really happened,”

Seth nodded obediently, and without being ordered twice, he immediately withdrew from Martin's room, heading for his own room to begin investigating. Martin played his chin, a little anxious. He hoped his wife wouldn't hear the news of the wedding, or else everything would be rundown.

Karen didn't have much of a choice, because after the incident, Martin insisted on installing a location-tracking device on his phone. Although he disagreed, Martin could never be denied. Karen had no power, because her life became easier after she married Martin, including her status in society. Many of his old friends praised Karen for getting a handsome conglomerate guy like Martin. And although the story behind it was tragic, Karen was happy to hear the compliment. And so, inevitably, she must agree to every possessive thing Martin does to her, including watching wherever Karen goes.

As he was about to walk towards the lecturer room, Kamala had blocked his path, a few meters ahead. The girl looked haughty, yet there was no emotion on her face. And when the two of them had come close enough, Kamala smiled, then handed Karen a light blue invitation card.

“I hope Miss Karen can come,” Kamala said, smiling.

Karen's heart was pounding, all the bad possibilities were now popping up in her mind. Even though she had not read the contents of the invitation card, it was as if Karen had known everything. However, for the sake of making sure of all, he steadied his heart to open and read every detail written on the card.

Karen's eyeballs shook, very violently accompanied by her slightly trembling hands. Ray and Kamala's wedding invitation cards, which he received two weeks after the braking. Which means, Ray survived. Karen did not feel her tears, a sign of gratitude for the prayer she kept saying every night to God, was now granted. Ray is alive.

“Congratulations, Kamala,” Karen's words are sincere, although when she sees Karen's tears, Kamala is sure that they are tears of sadness.

Kamala linked her eyebrows together, slightly displeased by the emotion Karen showed when she accepted the invitation. She thought Karen was crying because she was sad, but Karen was happy. That's the sign, Ray managed to survive without lacking anything.

“Preferably Sir came to this place,” Seth handed Martin a piece of paper containing an address, two days after the first assignment Martin gave.

“What is this?” martin asked, reading the contents on that piece of paper. Then he frowned. “Why should we come here?”

Martin didn't want to ask much questions, and decided this time to follow what Seth said. They both rushed to the location listed on the paper. Take a trip of approximately half an hour, to arrive at the location that turned out to be an abandoned warehouse located on the edge of the city far from the residential residents.

Martin's feeling was not calm, because he seemed to know why Seth had brought him to this place.

“Did you find Jim's hideout?” guess Martin, beware.

Before Seth could answer, the barn door opened, and Jim was sitting in a wheelchair. He was pushed forward near Martin, by one of his men. The look on Jim's face was very embarrassed when he looked at Martin, so he slightly looked away. While Martin, he was surprised amazingly to see the condition of Jim who suddenly paralyzed with a stitching forehead. The old man appeared to be suffering greatly, and had just been finished off by someone in a brutal manner.

“It turns out we can't underestimate him just like that,” Jim said, a little horrified when he had to go back to remembering the events of that night.

“What happened?” sue Martin, I can't wait.

Jim looked at Seth, then Martin, alternately. “He's not the usual man you thought he was,”

“What do you mean? Speak clearly, Jim!”

Jim set his breath. “He's Ray White, son of Sergio White. Mafia boss disguised as a villa businessman in this city,” replied Jim, slightly dodging his voice. “You picked the wrong enemy, Martin,”

Martin quiet. He had heard the name Sergio White before, because when he was still working as a subordinate to Paul, his father, a man named Sergio was involved in some of Paul's corporate cooperation. However, what Martin did not expect, he did not know if White's last name on Ray's name was a sign that he was the son of Sergio White. Karen never talks about it, nor do Ray and Karen's lives reflect the life of a son of a mob boss who runs the city.

Seth then gives Martin a document, in which there are several photographs, showing Ray White's identity.

“It looks like he was expelled after marrying Lady Karen, Sir,” explains Seth.

“Why?” Martin's eyes glared, more curious about Seth's remarks, rather than having to check the documents Seth had handed him.

But Seth seemed a little hesitant to answer. But Martin is not a man who patiently waits, he urges Seth to immediately reveal other facts that he has investigated.

“The family background of Lady Karen, not worth the White family,” Seth shows again a photo of a small, shabby house, with a portrait of an old woman.

Martin looked at Seth, and the two looked at each other with a thought that seemed predictable. Seth nodded fretfully, again hesitating a little to go back to explaining his findings to Martin.

“This is the mother of Lady Karen, Sir,”
