"Daddy-it! We're okay!" Shouted a girl from the back seat of Triton Athlete scolded the gondrong guy earlier. A brown-haired mayang-haired girl, with a reddish-white face typical of Dutch blood, lowered her glass and stuck her head out.
Another man with equally long hair gushed his face as well, on the side of the Dutch girl.
So his name is Jati? magisna said in the heart. Why aren't there any ugly guys here?
"I went the wrong way, b e g o!" hardik Teak on Agustin.
Agustin was still flinching. But stay calm and flat.
"It's a dead end!" Jati nodded as she turned towards her car.
Hendra groaned in the back seat. "Lu denger that?" gerutu on the Ais.
Teak slipped behind the wheel and started the engine.
Agustin also turned on the engine and rewinded his jeep.
Triton Athlete roared and darted past them.
Nice to meet you, Magisna said in her heart. A little disappointed that the meeting was too short.
"Come on that car!" Hendra's orders.
"What?" Agustin squinted his eyes.
"The gua said follow them!" Hendra raised his voice. "Lu don't hear him say it's a dead end?" hardiknya while pointing to the village road that said Ais.
Agustin.
Hendra got out of his seat and jumped out and slammed into the steering gate. "Here, let the cave drive!" his insistence.
"Moor!" Magisna shouted at him.
"Gua said, the cave knows an alternative way!" Hendra insisted.
Agustin let out a thin sigh and raised both of his hands from the steering wheel.
Hendra again took the helm, while Agustin returned to the backseat.
Magisna puffed her cheeks while buying.
Hendra could never stand it if he just kept quiet. But this time, he was acting worse than usual.
"The cave won't be home!" erang Magisna could not take it anymore.
Ais advanced her body and patted the girl on the shoulder, trying to calm her down. But then stammered realizing his body was shivering.
Hendra turned on the ignition key and turned it towards the large road following Triton Athlete earlier.
No one protested.
The situation in the car is tense.
The sky is getting tighter, while the heavy rain is getting more stormy. The rainwater froths flew in circles swept by the very strong wind. Palm trees swirl to and fro in all directions.
Magisna grew shivering in fear.
The car was stuck again. Hendra tried to step on the gas pedal as hard as he could. But the car barely responded.
"See that!" Ice suddenly shouted excitedly. His sudden joy surprised everyone.
Triton Athlete who almost hit them parked on the side of the road in front of them.
But it wasn't the car that Ais pointed to. He pointed towards the hill above the car.
From where Magisna sat, he could see nothing but rain and palm trees towering on a low hill. But Ais said there was a house on that hill. Magisna was surprised also Ais could see the house from a distance away from the road in the rain.
"Maybe we should stop too" suggested Ais. "Again we can be calm because on the way later we are not alone anymore" said Ais while glancing towards Triton Athlete earlier.
A good opportunity to get acquainted with Teak, the cunning inner Magisna.
All eyes were now on Magisna.
Magisna just shrug.
"What makes you so sure that whoever's up there will accept us?" ask Hendra to Ice. Sounds more like a challenge than a question.
"People here are very friendly" Ais said. "Unlike the townspeople" he continued, choking at Hendra. "No one will resist us in a storm like this!"
Hendra snorted thinly and snorted.
"Gua felt there was no harm in trying" said Magisna when Hendra glanced at him with a gesture asking for an opinion. But it sounded a little too excited, until Hendra squinted his eyes with a suspicious attitude.
Magisna turned her face in any direction while rubbing her base to warm herself up.
Hendra nibbled at his lower lip while thinking hard. But he braked the car too in the end.
"Push the car to the side of the road" Agustin said as he jumped down.
Hendra shut off the engine, opened the door and climbed over the wet, half-flooded asphalt. Then gazed towards the hill, stretching his hands and feet.
Magisna can't wait to do the same. Although it was not until two hours, he felt as if they had been trapped in a car for months.
He jumped out and landed with one foot, then followed Ais's gaze. It is true, there is a house of red wood among the palm trees. Thin smoke billowed from the stone chimney on its side.
"I would do anything for a cup of coffee" murmured Agustin behind Magisna.
Magisna chuckled thinly while looking at the guy.
"And I'm willing to poke so I can soak in warm water!" Ice chiming.
"Road, eagle eyes!" kelakar Magisna while patting Ais back.
Ice looked over and grinned.
Magisna turned to look at Hendra. The man immediately approached, wrapped his arm around Magisna's waist and swept it away.
They began to walk in tandem up the low, sloping hills along the wide footpath past the palm trees that lined up regularly all over the place.
It took me a long time to climb that hill in limping steps.
But they all look happy after getting out of the car, imagining a warm house with friendly residents. Ignore the rain anymore, ignore the cold air, or the swirling storm.
Magisna didn't even care much about her ankles throbbing during the climb.
Staying a few meters away from the front of the hut, fear suddenly appeared ambushing Magisna. Instantly the girl shivered, not because of the cold. But out of fear.
But of course he tried to ignore it. It is too late to change your mind, he said in his heart. It's too silly to turn around now. It's too bad to just give up on that momentary, senseless feeling of panic.
Agustin knocked on the front door of the hut loudly.
Ice traces its shoes on the plank floor on the terrace of the cottage, removing the red soil attached.
Nobody comes out. The door remained tightly closed.
Agustin knocked again.
Silent.
Is this cottage uninhabited? Magisna wondered in her heart.
Where did the people in Triton Athlete go? Didn't they all come up here?
The wind blew around them, bringing tempias to the terrace of the cottage.
Magisna who was drowned in Hendra's large jacket shivered, completely cold. He raised his hands to his face to feel his nose. It doesn't feel anything. Numbness. He wrapped his body by tightening the jacket to warm himself even more. But his whole body was soaked and the action resulted in more water spills than Hendra's jacket.
Ais turned to Magisna while smiling to encourage her heart.
Do I look so pathetic? magisna thought while forcing a smile.
