"Moor!" Magisna was surprised to find Hendra at the door of her room.
Hendra raised his index finger to his lips, placed his hand on Magisna's shoulder and pushed her into the room, just like Jati had done earlier.
For a moment Magisna looked worried. Jati hid in her room. And now Hendra also went into that room and closed the door.
In Magisna's heart wondered what Hendra would do if she knew Magisna was hiding a foreign man in her room.
But why? thought. Hendra is nobody.
"Why haven't you slept?" whiskey Hendra. He pulled down the zipper and took off his jacket
"Gu-gua is sleeping, really!" Magisna whispered back. "Cave kebagun denger lu pacing in front of the door. Kira— cave"
"What?" sergeant Hendra cut his word. "Lu guess the twilight that nyatronin your room?"
"For you to cradle the cupcake," snorted Magisna. "It's already in the middle of the mall!"
Hendra sat on the bedside and rubbed his hands together to warm himself up. "Gua can't sleep" he said. Then comb her hair back with one hand. Staring anxiously at the closed door. "Grotto room in the lower corridor, opposite the same room Dusk. The cave of Denger Gabe tereak furiously at dusk."
Magisna almost choked on her own saliva recalling Jati's story of the dead Dusk. His conjecture of Gabe not seeing Dusk makes him unsure if Hendra's story is true.
Hendra leaned towards Magisna, whispering. "The two heard gunshots, and everything was calm!"
"Quiet down? What does it mean to be calm?" Magisna returned shivering.
"I mean cave.no more sounds. The cave doesn't hear their voices anymore" explained Hendra a little dramatic.
"Lu's sure it's the twilight sound?" ask Magisna.
"Who is there another man besides his legs?" Hendra asked back.
Magisna. How to explain to Hendra that Jati and her friends are also here in another room. Hendra will ask where Magisna knows about it.
Magisna could have said the Teak car was parked down there, and that was enough to prove the whereabouts of Jati and her friends. But Hendra would definitely deny it because ever since they arrived, they had not seen the whereabouts of Jati and her friends.
"Why are you diem?" Hendra looked suspiciously.
Magisna blinked and shook her head. "No pa-pa, the cave just can't think" Magisna said. "The cave just woke up, the life of the cave hasn't been collected yet."
Hendra still looked at him with a suspicious look. "Senja abis nyatronin you huh?"
"Huh?" Magisna. Didn't think Hendra would ask that. "Why did you think about it?"
"Why do you know what a cave sure that was actually the sound of Dusk?" Hendra asked back.
Magisna. Why is it even getting so wrong? he said in his heart.
How explain?
"Jawab be honest, what was Dusk from here?" Hendra.
"No!" magisna argued, a little too insistent. "Gu-gua said the cave no longer could think. That's aja!"
Hendra snorted as he turned his face away. Then look around the room. Examine every corner of the room with those giddy eyes.
Magisna was suddenly nervous. What if Jati gets caught? thought worried. "Udah, ah! Lu mending came out of the cave room. It's not good to hear Gabe!" Magisna pushed Hendra to the door and pushed him out of the room.
Hendra looked even more suspicious. "Lu's hiding something, aren't you?" terka Hendra's curious.
"Where is there!" Magisna glared impatiently. "The cave's just not good. We're here hitchhiking, b e g o!"
Hendra shrugged at a glance, then moved away with an offended look.
Magisna closed the door of her room and let out a heavy sigh. It's really bad to throw Hendra away like that.
Teak slipped out of hiding under the bed, then approached Magisna while nagging. "Why don't you tell me anyway, you need to get out of here?"
"Gua. Hendra is not the type of person who easily believes, especially the same ghost story," said Magisna stammering. Actually, he himself is not sure about Hendra's nature. He knew Hendra believed in such mystical things. But who knows Hendra's reaction if he finds out the whereabouts of Teak. He suspected me of hiding something, Magisna thought. He'll ask me where I know about all that.
Teak chuckled thinly. "Lu doesn't have to tell me the ghost part, does he?" said ticklish.
Magisna.
Jati let out a short sigh and stared into Magisna's eyes. "Serious cave," he said. "This place is not safe. The cave was horrified when you told me about the shot. Maybe the cavemen are in danger. The cave has to get out of here. I think the cave is already glittery."
Magisna gasped and stammered. "Tu-wait—" he gripped the guy's jacket sleeve.
"Yodah, pull out the tongue!" Magisna gave a loud snort and pushed Teak to the door.
Teak chuckled again. But it quickly turned his expression back to seriousness. "Retract from here, Magisna! Serious cave!"
The room's door crackled open before Jati touched it.
Teak and Magisna flinched.
Hendra stood at the door, pointing his rifle at Jati.
"The hendra! You're crazy!" Magisna squealed in horror.
Hendra. "Who are you?" he nodded at Jati.
Jati knitted her two eyebrows.
Magisna stood up restlessly staring at the two. "Hendra-down-gunnya. Lu... don't really want to shoot people, do you?"
Hendra didn't bother him. The rifle in his hand remained fixed on Teak. "Jawab cave! Lu who?" repeat Hendra half rebuked.
"The two owners of this cottage," replied Jati as she raised her hands on the side of her shoulder.
"Lied!" snapped Hendra, preparing to press the trigger.
Magisna gulped with great difficulty before finally being able to say, "He's not lying," his his hiss choked. "He's the nephew of Dusk!"
Hendra tightened his jaw and glared at Magisna. The muzzle of his rifle was now fixed on Magisna.
"Hendra—" Magisna can't do much. His heart beat noisily hitting his ribs. He's not really gonna do it, is he? thought gamang.
Jati glanced at him with a concerned look.
"Please send me the rifle," said Magisna. "Let the cave plainly sit its case."
"So why are you two-something in the room?" Hendra turned his attention back to Teak.
Teak suddenly lowered his hand and sighed.
Magisna frowned.
"It doesn't contain it" Jati said.
Hendra won't believe it. "Why do you ask in Magisna's room?" hardiknya while directing his rifle back towards Jati.
Teak did not raise his hand anymore. "Lu ask Magisna, what cave is in her room?!"
Hendra growled and pressed the trigger.
Magisna screamed as she smothered her face as the sound of explosions blazed through the house.
Momentary silence.
A pair of hands then gently gripped Magisna's wrist. "Sssshh... No pa-pa! You're all right."
Magisna lowered her hands and stuttered.
Teak crouched down in front of him, trying to calm him down.
Magisna jerked her head to the side and looked at the frozen Hendra in the doorway. His gun was on the floor.
What the hell's going on? magisna doesn't understand.
Hendra was still unmoved with a shaken expression.
He must have been very scared, Magisna thought. Imagining himself killing someone must have shaken him. But it seemed like Jati was right, the rifle was not contained.
"Where was the sound of the explosion from?" Magisna asked raucously.
"That's from the basement," replied Jati. "The cavemen may be in danger. Gua saranin y'all get out of here immediately."
Hendra looked at him with a confused expression. His eyes looked empty and unfocused.
Teak got up from the floor and rushed to the door, then slipped out and disappeared. The door closes behind him.
Hendra and Magisna were still frozen in place. Both were shaken and unsure of what to do.
