"Why are you still here?" Dusk asked between his words.
Magisna did not react.
"Our car went into the abyss, I'm just like Agustin doesn't know where!" Hendra flicked his shoulder indifferently.
Dusk squinted his eyes, observing Hendra and Magisna in turn.
Magisna shivered as she clenched herself.
Hendra glanced at him with a frown, then glanced at Dusk suspiciously—still thinking that Dusk came to Magisna's room last night.
Then last night Gabe did not quarrel with Dusk, Hendra concluded. Could Gabe be fighting with Ais and Agustin? And that shot…
Dusk stepped across the room towards the window.
Magisna gulped and inched on the sofa, raising both her legs and hugging her knees.
Dusk glanced at him suspiciously. "Where's Gabe?" He asked half-investigating.
Magisna did not answer.
Dusk turned to Hendra who was still stunned watching Magisna.
Magisna turned around and saw Gabe coming from the kitchen.
Dusk and Hendra followed his direction.
"There you look!" Dusk grinned and approached him.
Gabe passed by and walked towards the phone. He picked up the phone and listened. Then lower it again while sighing and shaking.
He seemed to be trying hard, Magisna thought.
"Has the phone broken?" He asked Gabe.
Gabe did not respond.
Magisna glanced at Hendra and exchanged glances.
Hendra was completely unaware something was wrong, Magisna concluded. Of course, he wouldn't have thought Gabe couldn't see Dusk.
So why can we see it? Magisna asked in her heart.
Dusk walked up to the phone table and checked it, then slammed the handle.
Gabe was flabbergasted and turned to the phone table in a wild turn.
Hendra and Magisna looked at him, while Dusk angrily walked back and forth, swearing at the phone's damage.
"I definitely didn't put it down well" Gabe murmured. He turned his attention to Magisna, looking at her nervously.
Magisna opened her mouth about to say something, but Gabe had returned to the kitchen, and Dusk followed her.
Hendra was stunned looking at the two. Not yet aware of what happened.
Magisna tightened her arms on both knees, sat curled up in the corner of the sofa with a shivering body, glanced at the glass box in the corner of the room, staring at the weapons inside with a horrified expression.
The other is dangerous, the other is not human. Magisna makes a gusar.
Magisna was already impatient to rush off, leaving this strange cottage and not coming back again.
Outside the wind howled loudly and the rain kept falling.
For a moment Magisna looked out the gray-looking one, tried to look towards the street, and saw someone outside staring in through the window.
Magisna shouted, shocked.
Hendra was aghast and turned to Magisna, then followed his direction.
The entire face of the man was covered in a black ski mask.
He leaned his body against the window, so close that his breath dewed on the glass.
Even through the foggy glass, Hendra and Magisna could see that the person was staring towards Magisna.
Magisna froze in place, staring back at him for a while.
"Who is that?" Hendra yells.
Without a second thought, Magisna jumped off the sofa and ran to the window, joining Hendra's side.
The window still dewed because of the stranger's breath. But he's gone.
Magisna tiptoed, pressed her head against the glass, trying to look around the hut. But there's no one there now.
"He ran away" said Hendra. "He said! Liat—cook his footprints stopped a few steps from the window."
"Squeen!" hiss Magisna. He pushed Hendra aside in order to see it more clearly.
"He looked like a cake in a horror movie" Hendra said.
"But who is he?" ask Magisna.
"Well you nanya cave, keep nanya sapah cave?" Hendra groaned in response.
"Summer!" tymphal Hendra. His tone sounded as fearful as Magisna.
He was no help at all, Magisna thought.
"It was just a stray man, why didn't he knock on the door? Why is he just tipping us?"
"Good question," Magisna snorted. His heart is still beating.
"What's going on?" call Gabe from the kitchen door.
"There are people outside" Magisna replied.
"What?" Gabe exited the kitchen door, followed by Dusk behind him.
Magisna glanced towards Dusk with a huff. Dusk really haunts Gabe, he thought bitterly. He followed her everywhere. Inwardly he wondered, what would happen if Dusk knew that Gabe could not see him?
Dusk had not realized that he was dead!
What would happen if he knew he was dead?
Is he going to disappear?
"There's people wearing ski masks, sneaking us out of the window!" Hendra added.
Gabe was speechless with a pale face, while Dusk started pacing by the window.
"You sure it wasn't your friends' prank job?" Dusk asked Hendra with a suspicious look.
Hendra fell silent and thought hard. Then shakes unsure.
Gabe glanced at him with his eyebrows intertwined.
Don't talk to Dusk! magisna's command in the heart.
Hendra remained silent, as if he could hear Magisna's hope.
The new time shows eleven at noon, but it is dark as night. The wind was shaking the window. The lightning sagged for a while, but it did not immediately disappear.
The atmosphere became a little tense.
Magisna was agitated.
Dusk again raved and cursed.
Hendra was almost provoked to argue.
Don't say anything! Magisna pleaded in her heart.
Hendra tightened his jaw and prepared to spout words.
But the sound of footsteps in the foyer teased them.
Dusk slid towards the door and opened it.
Gabe jumped in surprise, suffocating stifled and panting.
Hendra poured out following the Dusk that had disappeared.
"Moor!" Magisna shouted to prevent it. But not Hendra Dwi Maulana if he listens to warnings. He never thought long before he decided to do something.
Gabe stood trembling at the door.
Magisna gulped with difficulty, then cleared her throat, "Gabe—"
Should I tell him about Dusk? Magisna. But then undo his intentions.
"Gabrielle usually hates it the most when her secrets are known to strangers."
The words of Jati flashed in his head.
He glanced back at the glass box in the corner of the room with a restless look.
Just think of a way out of here! inner Magisna. No need to get too far involved. Once I get out of here, I won't see him again.
Gabe looked at her with a frown in confusion.
But Magisna just stuttered. Not sure what to say.
"I know you must be confused to think about both of your findings" Gabe said as he approached her. "And that car…"
Magisna nodded quickly.
"I'm not sure exactly what's going on either" Gabe continued. "I mean. You broke into my cabin, then two of your friends went missing and your car got into the abyss."
Magisna was getting deeper. "I'm sorry about that. But—"
"I've fixed the car" Gabe interrupted, cutting off Magisna's words.
Magisna lifted her face and looked at Gabe with sparkling eyes.
"I'll drive you home as soon as the rain subsides and get help."
