The Van Til House: STRAF SABBAT

The Van Til House: STRAF SABBAT
Chapiter 58's

Cloudy hanging at the foot of the sky, dark clouds settles down covering the plantation land.

The atmosphere in the school grounds was suddenly rowdy before the break bell ended.

Vocational school children rushed in unison out of the canteen and ran to the grounds.

Magisna almost choked on his food, he looked around and watched all the disciples running out in amazement.

What the hell's going on? thought.

The first thing that flashed through his head was an explosion!

Magisna leaped off her stool and darted out following the others while smothering her ears.

The orange followed behind him with a face wrinkled in confusion.

The students suddenly stopped in front of the terrace and slowly filled in regularly forming rows of posse.

Magisna lowered her hands from her ears, then looked up and tiptoed to see what was happening.

Two police officers flanked Miss Pinkan to her left and led her teacher out of the gate.

Magisna lunged at the crowd and shouted at her teacher, "Miss Pinkan!"

Miss Pinkan and the two officers flanking her simultaneously turned to Magisna.

The orange ambushed Magisna's shoulder and pulled her away from the crowd. But the girl flicked her shoulders and slashed towards Miss Pinkan.

"What's going on?" Magisna asked riled up.

"We will talk later" said Miss Pinkan, then turned her face, straightened her jaw and continued.

Magisna froze in place. Stare at his teacher while stammering.

The two officers guided Miss Pinkan into a patrol car, then passed away from the school.

Mr. Isa stood while straddling the front porch near the entrance, watching the officer's car with a flat face.

The disciples glanced at him, but none of them dared to ask.

Dika, Novi, Hendra and Alexza lined up neatly on his left-right like a group of bodyguards with faces no less flat.

Magisna was bowed listlessly after the officer's car carrying Miss Pinkan disappeared from view. They must have found the writing, he concluded. Somehow his heart felt that the writing on Doolhof was deliberately made by someone to trap Miss Pinkan. Miss Pinkan is innocent, she said in her heart. Miss Pinkan's only mistake was to give the students punishment.

As a teacher, Miss Pinkan is not so much fun. But Magisna can make sure Miss Pinkan is not a killer.

The orange touched Magisna's shoulder carefully, then looked at her with an anxious look on her face.

Dika, Novi, Hendra and Alexza glanced at them from the edge of the terrace near Pak Isa.

Magisna glanced back at them through the corner of her eyes, not daring to show it blatantly. For a moment his little heart felt pinched. Although only for a moment, they were also once close. They're my friends, the mind is bitter. And now I'm afraid of them.

Their principal cleared his throat and turned his body towards the door, then hurriedly entered and disappeared in the corner of the corridor.

The atmosphere in the grounds returned rowdy after their principal left. All the students started talking here and there, whispering to each other, questioning the same thing.

"What's the matter exactly?"

"Why was Miss Pinkan arrested by the police?"

It was more or less what the students were talking about.

Magisna and Orange exchanged glances, but said nothing to each other.

The four disciples with hoodies and goggles were sidelined from the crowd, followed by a cynical look of everyone.

Magisna watched their backs with hurt feelings.

Oh, come! he said to himself. You guys aren't that close!

Forget about them!

Then in unison, Orange and Magisna turned almost simultaneously and walked in unison towards the entrance.

"Why are you going to the principal's room?" magisna asked while frowning.

The orange shrugged both of his shoulders. "Nyokap cave just said the cave was told to face the principal," he replied without burden.

Magisna should not be surprised.

Orange is the most accomplished student at the same time the most problematic. Going back and forth into the headmaster's room had already become like an extracurricular to him.

In the usual situation, Magisna never thought long before agreeing to the request of Orange. Even if it's not important. But given the current situation, going to the principal's room did not interest him.

Uh-oh! magisna said in the heart. So now I'm also afraid of the principal?

Without waiting for Magisna's reply, Orange dragged her towards the door that read: Principal's Room.

I was picking my death up, Magisna thought. He wondered in his heart, how would he determine the attitude in front of their principal without provoking his suspicions. I can't cover my fears. I can't act normal as usual.

And…

As soon as the headmaster's room door opened, Magisna froze her steps.

"Come in!" mr. Isa's command while turning his head hinted them to hurry. "And please close the door!" he added, turning his back to them and rushing to his desk with wide steps.

Magisna is still flinching.

Orange glanced at him with squinted eyes.

Isa snuck into his desk and threw his body in the chair. Then turn to the door while linking his two eyebrows.

Orange and Magisna were still stuttering in the doorway, glancing at each other hesitantly.

"Hey—you don't think I'm some kind of old maniac young leaf fan, do you?" Isa sir rebuked them.

Orange and Magisna stormed into the room and closed the door.

Pak Isa let out a short sigh while lowering the hoodie and taking off his glasses. "This is better" he said. "Sit down!" his orders.

Magisna blinked and looked at Pak Isa half-stretched. Then gulped and glanced at the orange.

The orange did not see it. The girl had already walked towards the table, pulled the bench in front of her, then sat down facing Mr. Isa.

Magisna was still glaring behind the Orange until Pak Isa looked at him with squinted eyes.

The color of her eyes did not change, Magisna thought.

Magisna immediately joined her desk after the headmaster cleared his throat with a warning gesture.

"I want to talk to you later" said Mr. Isa after Magisna sat across from his desk.

The orange and Magisna exchanged looks.

"But before that." Mr. Isa then turned his attention to Orange.

The orange took something out of his uniform pocket and extended it to Pak Isa.

Magisna noticed that it changed hands. A white envelope measuring 110 x 230 mm.

Isa opened the envelope and took out the contents, unfolded the piece of paper and studied it for a while. Then he lifted his head and looked at Orange, "Please give us a minute" he asked.

Orange smiled and nodded, then patted Magisna on the shoulder while standing up, before she finally withdrew from the headmaster's room.

Magisna gulped and bowed. Silence with wrong attitude.

The headmaster watched him from across the table until the door of the room closed behind the orange.

"I know you have a lot of questions" said Mr. Isa after a moment of silence.

Magisna raised her face, looking at the headmaster hesitantly. "Mr…"

"I'm not one of them!" sergeant Pak Isa cut off Magisna's sentence.
