The noble family in Aruindale was very obedient with her honor and pride. Whether it's a false honor or not. The life of the nobility is very hard for Archie Lanvinder. Archie wants to live as he wants. He hated that his parents always determined his life and love for the honor. As the eldest son of the Lanvinder family, Archie will succeed his father as the Head of the Lanvinder Family. To become a Head of the Family must have a partner to accompany him and continue the descent. Both Archie's parents match her to Meredith, the daughter of the Zania family. The Lanvinder and Zania families already have a long relationship, therefore, the marriage of Archie and Meredith is expected to unite the two famous families in Aruindale and make the relationship even closer in the future.

Meredith is a beautiful and graceful female figure, fitting into a handsome and kind-hearted Archie couple. The news of the engagement gives hope to both families. However, Archie does not approve of her engagement request, she reluctantly marries someone she does not love. Archie believes, as it seems, Meredith has no feelings for him either. Meredih would not have wanted to, if not for her status which required her to marry by her parents' choice. Archie's strong father does not care whether Archie loves or not, as long as the Lanvinder family continues to live he will approve of his son's marriage. Without the power to refuse his father, Archie can only wait for the date of his wedding to be held.

At night, a celebration party was held at the Lanvinder family residence. Dressed in a dark-tailed red suit and black pants, Archie walked among the crowd, greeting elegantly every guest.

Archie then approached his father who was chatting with other men near a table full of fancy food. Abery Lanvinder who saw him, gave a warning to his interlocutor to give him time alone with his son. The man bowed and left.

“How? Already feel satisfied? Views and smiles, all addressed to you, my son.” Abery clinked her glass into her son's glass with a feeling of pride.

Archie shrugged his shoulders, his face looking uninspired. “Not really.”

“Do not do that. After you married Meredith, Zania's entire family was in your hands. We can get the economic power of the Zania family and their precious treasures. Other families would definitely not dare to mess with two big families. Soon, another family will bow down and serve us, Archie. This is your biggest achievement.” Abery smiled as she patted Archie's shoulder.

“That's all Dad's wishes, not mine. I just want to marry someone I really love not for the sake of family honor.” Archie's left hand clenched tightly, signifying his ever-stretched annoyance.

“That again? Come, Archie. You're already big. If it can't get a wife, the Lanvinder family could be ruined. You don't want to, do you?” Abery's old face wrinkled in annoyance. “Just I don't want to hear that anymore. Already there, new guests are waiting for your welcome.” The man pushed Archie's back.

Archie was resentfully anxious to hit his father's stubborn face, but if he were to do so at this moment, surely the situation would be even more chaotic. Archie calmed himself. Put the glass down, then approach one by one guests to have a little chat and strengthen the relationship.

Intending to find some fresh air outside, Archie finds Meredith outside enjoying the night sky. The moonlight pierced through the sidelines of her wind-blown hair. The golden yellow dress seemed to illuminate the night, adding a graceful charm that had already radiated from the start. Archie approached Meredith, who was carrying a glass of wine in her hand.

“Searching for fresh air, Mr Attention Center?” Meredith teased as Archie stood beside her back then.

“I didn't expect you to be here either,” Archie said with a deep sigh.

Meredith glanced and saw Archie's mind-filled face, “If there's a problem, you can tell me. We are fiancee after all, right.” Soft words came out from her bright red, wet lips after she sipped her drink.

“I've guessed. I know, we don't have the love for each other like a couple. This relationship that we live is only a tradition and coercion of our parents, to unite both families. But I'm sure we'll go through all this together.” Meredith gave a genuine smile.

“You're a good woman. If only I had known you first, I might not have a problem with the engagement. However, I already have a too-”

“Love? I already know. Time in the market, I saw you staring at a girl very long.” The girl's shoulders slumped.

4 Months before their engagement, that morning Archie passed through the market, he saw a shiny blue light emanating from the eyes of an ordinary village girl. Archie felt love at first sight. He even purposely passed through the market every day to see the girl. After a few days, Archie no longer found the blue-eyed girl in the market. He walked home in sadness, and in the middle of the road, Archie met a beautiful figure like a queen in village clothes who he was waiting for his presence. Their eyes met, pecking for a while before the girl opened the conversation first.

“There can I help you with, sir?” A soft voice came from the girl who was justifying her hair.

“May I know your name, village girl?” greet Archie while putting his right hand on his left chest and slightly bowing.

The girl said, “Anna, my lord.”

After that, Archie often met with a girl named Anna secretly. Anna was often worried when a noble took the village girl around the city in disguise. Archie also secretly buys Anna fancy clothes and jewelry. Although this was too much for her but Anna could not resist it because she was afraid that rejecting the nobles would happen an undesirable thing. Anna and Archie have been together for a month. Anna used to think that nobles were those who thirsted for wealth and power and did not care about the villagers, but Archie was different, she saw Archie as a man who was serious, kind, well, care about others and willing to sacrifice anything. As a village girl she never felt treated like a royal princess. Archie's kindness makes the girl comfortable around him, and over time the seeds of love not only appear on Archie, but the girl also feels it.

In the afternoon, Archie takes Anna to a place far from the city. Under the pink petals blown by the wind of the Aruindale plains, Archie finally expressed his feelings under an Amoria Tree that flourished on the hill. After the togetherness they went through, time also fostered the same feelings in Anna's heart. However, Anna's heart at that time was still doubtful, she was in a dilemma of her feelings. When Anna sees Archie's sincere face, she tries to open her heart and finally accepts her love under a tree.

At Lanvinder's residence, Meredith saw the worry on Archie's face, “Take it easy, I won't tell anyone,” the girl said. “It is fitting that you always reject your father about this engagement,”.

“How about you? Aren't you turning down this engagement?” Archie raised his voice a little.

“Of course I refused. But it can't. I'm not as brave as you are, I can only obey my parents.”

Archie. Silence ruled the night at that moment.

“Then what will you do if this wedding is cancelled?” ask Meredith.

“I would love to live freely, wandering everywhere away from the noble traditions that have surrounded me. I'm leaving town and living with Anna.”

“What if they, if your parents find you? You know, the relationship between the noble family and the villagers is forbidden. You can't keep going like this.

“I know that, but..” Archie did not end his sentence. He chooses to return to the party leaving Meredith in the moonlight.
