Under the shining moon, the huge tree with its gray brown bark looked withered. The fin-shaped leaves fell on the girl's hand.
Faye observed the leaves that looked fragile despite their fresh green color. His hand felt his withered and pale wood skin. “This tree hurts.” His face looked at the tree above him.
Rynn stood behind him, grieving, “It was just right you said you were feeling exhausted.”
The girl opened her book again to absorb the Farbelwer that was passed down from her hands. Blue light appeared accompanied by the energy that absorbed the lizard. All the creatures that had escaped had finally been absorbed back into the book. However, another problem arises.
Faye closed her eyes. He felt the flow of magic coming from this tree was so chaotic.
Observing the other trees that looked normal, the Black Knight was astonished, “But the other trees look fine.”
“This tree is different,” said Faye, then leaned her forehead on the tree trunk. “This is a tree that contains magic. Created by my mother's magic potion that was accidentally absorbed by her roots.”
The girl felt the tree weaken, like a sick person lying helplessly on a bed. A cold wind blew the leaves swaying in the air and the girl's face, conveying the message that the tree needed her help as soon as possible.
“This tree produces a source of magic energy for the entire forest. Since the flow of magic was chaotic, it explained how the door of my mother's magic workshop opened by itself. The door requires continuous magic energy to keep the seal active,”.
The magic seal in the magic workshop had the same concept as the protective symbol on the tree. Both magic requires a continuous supply of magic energy in order to last and keep functioning.
Rue momentarily weakened on his shoulder, powerless to resist standing up. Faye picked up the bird and held it tightly. “I and Rue felt the impact, but because Rue was created by my mother's magic, she was the most felt. Rue can live in the presence of a source of magic.”
“Indeed, although it was faint, I always felt magic energy coming out of this tree. Is there any way to cure this tree?” ask Archie.
Faye shook her head. “I don't know. This never happened before,” the girl's voice weakened.
The man's hand held his chin. His eyes dissolved in his mind. “How about healing magic? Doesn't that magic apply to all living things?”
Faye's blue eyes sparkled. “Maybe.” Hugging Rue, the girl then pressed the tree trunk with her right palm. A white light illuminated between his tightly shut fingers. Magic energy that could heal the wounds accumulated on his palm and slowly flowed on the tree.
The Black Knight stood next to Archie, folding his hands. Everyone waited for the result patiently.
Faye turned around, her head lowered and then shook her head. “Healing magic does work but it takes a long time and my energy won't be enough for that.”.
The leaves are still falling from the branches, and one of the branches even makes a snapping sound. Rynn stepped forward, her bright face looking like it carried hope. “Magic color!” said the girl. “That pool can heal wounds, right? The water is also fresh and always makes my skin look bright, albeit cold.” The girl smiled as she massaged her soft cheeks.
Before Faye answered him, the energetic girl darted away to the house.
Rynn went back inside the magic workshop, returned the books on the shelf and closed the doors from the outside. “I'm sorry, Faye's mother, for entering this magical place secretly and for doing such a foolish thing.” The girl bowed before the door, then headed towards the courtyard. Rynn and the Black Knight picked up a wooden bucket located in the left yard between the purple heather and lily flowers. After retrieving the bucket, they rushed towards the pool, and filled the bucket with the water.
“We're back,” greet Rynn running carrying a bucket of magic pool water that spilled over due to shocks. Behind him, the Black Knight appeared also carrying a bucket of pool water.
The girl then swung her bucket towards the tree firmly. The whole water in the bucket splashed the base of the tree and split in all directions, some hitting the Faye robe and some to the ground “Hey, slowly!” faye growled while leaning her body back and tightly hugged the sleeping Rue to protect her from splashing.
Archie snatched Rynn's bucket. The pool water has been wasted all, only the remaining water droplets collect on the edge of the bucket. “Basic. Do you want to water a tree or wake a sleeping person?” said the man was angry.
Rynn rubbed his back head. “Sorry.”
The Black Knight walked to Archie's side. “Calm down, there's still mine.” The knight then poured the water slowly at the base of the tree, then into the ground on the edge until the last drop. Slowly, the water absorbs into the ground and into the tree trunk, leaving wet marks in place.
Rynn was waiting. “Does it work?”
Faye closed her eyes trying to feel something. A gust of wind covered the air around Faye. Slowly the invisible energy flow moved gently, rising and falling into waves. A cold sensation flowed through the girl's body like an injected medicine. His body returned refreshed, as did Rue who woke up and revealed a little in the arms of the girl. “Successful.” The girl nodded, then opened her arms, and Rue flew away on the tree branch.
Rynn observed the falling leaves of the tree, the number was reduced from before. He and the Black Knight breathed a sigh of relief.
While the tired Archie held the back of his neck while bending it left and right. “Alright, it's done. Time home. Definitely will be up tomorrow afternoon.”
Archie, Rynn and the Black Knight turned around and headed home. While Faye was in place, looking at the tree. The night sky slowly faded, bright colors slowly filling its role of gracing the sky. The girl was relieved, her mouth curving into a thin smile. The tree has been the place to look at the moon for hundreds of years. His eyes turned on the big branch. The branches are high enough to feel like sitting in front of the moon. It was that branch that made her feel closer to the moon, feeling closer to her mother. He doesn't know if the tree doesn't exist. In addition to the shrinking source of magic energy, the time of enjoying the moon would feel much different. He will be getting away from his mother.
The girl then followed her friends, returning home. Faye gets the Black Knight who opens the door for her from the inside. The knight bowed. “Welcome home, Miss Faye.”
Faye stepped in. “Not need formal so.” He pulled the chair on the left side of the table and sat down. “What others have slept?” ask the girl.
“When they get home, they immediately go to their respective rooms and sleep,” said the knight.
The girl looked at the door in front of her. The black wooden door was already tightly closed. The magic energy had already sealed the door. “After everything that happened, of course they were exhausted.” The girl glanced at the Black Knight who was standing by the door. “Are you not exhausted?” The girl's eyes were heavy and her head repeatedly almost fell down.
“No, Miss Faye. I'm used to it,” said the knight sprightly.
Faye couldn't resist her sleepiness. He rested his fallen head on the table with his arm. “I'm not strong anymore. If you want to rest, do not force yourself.” He was immediately sound in his sleep.
“Good.” The knight went upstairs. Take a deep red blanket in the room with a sword-carved door. The Black Knight then enveloped the girl's body with the blanket. “Good sleep, miss.”
