The War Of Gemstone: Owl & Flower

The War Of Gemstone: Owl & Flower
Forest Shadow

I can't see what I want to see, though,

I can't hear what I want to hear, though,

And I can't touch what I want to touch.

… or it was just a dream.

On that never-ending night, the girl just stood waiting for the light. The light came to pick him up. Take her back to a temporary night.

“Where's Rynn?” Faye woke up and that was the first sentence she said this morning.

After he put on his black robe, he went down the stairs, to a room that was usually crowded in the morning, but there was no one there. There was no sign of life in the kitchen, nor in the magic workshop whose doors were still tightly shut.

“This is not a dream,” thought he. Because if this was a dream, he wouldn't worry about his own friends. If this was a dream, he chose to stand waiting for the light. Waiting for her mother who had long abandoned her, came to give her a hug that the girl had forgotten her taste.

His mind was still not fully conscious, but he recalled the previous moment. Memory at night, before he laid his body on the bed. A black knight said he wanted to eat in the city, a man in a blue suit said he wanted to observe the flowers growing in this forest, and a chatty girl exclaimed loudly that she would finish her task well. His voice was so loud that it made Rue fly into the forest.

“It should be the girl has done her job now,” she thought.

The girl opened the front door and the stretch of dense trees surrounding her house had greeted her. The tree canopy slowly opened, letting the light in, as if allowing the light to lead the girl into the depths of the forest.

The Ghost Bird Forest. That's how the townspeople call this mysterious forest. Names that are not beautiful and highlight the horror. However, the residents did not care much about it, as long as they did not disturb this forest.

A few steps after he came out of his house, an uneasy feeling instantly roiled his body, especially his chest. At once he immediately knew if something was wrong waiting for him. Directions from the forest entrance. Worrying like a mother, the girl rushed to the source of her anxiety.

Smoke rose from the fire that burned the flesh of a Forest Wolf. Unlike beef or deer, the flesh of a carnivore has a completely different taste and texture. Those who killed the wolf, were aware of this.

The man with the wound in his left eye had the name, Demon Killer while his brother who had the wound on his right cheek was named Dragon Killer. They are both famous assassins in the land of the flower fields, Aruindale. Everyone paid them to kill, guard or threaten the other party. Blood and death were already natural things in their work.

“Whispering! If you were not the merchant who paid us, my sword would definitely land on your neck,” snapped the Demon Killer who was busy cleaning his dirty sword blade of wolf blood.

While his brother, in charge of watching around if there are other wolves that come or other ferocious creatures. “Mr Rowley, you remember the deal, right? The pay is doubled after finding his treasure.”

Hearing about money, Rowley immediately rose up with emotion. “I didn't say double!”

“This forest is set the Forbidden Area by the king, so not only the Forest Wolf, if caught, we also have to face the royal army know!”

“Don't forget the missing persons case and forget the memory also happened in this forest. This task you gave me is very risky,” added the Devil Killer. “We do not want the payment you give is not worth the risk.”

“I understand, I understand!” said the merchant sulking in front of the almost cooked meat.

The atmosphere turned gloomy in an instant, breaking apart the commotion between the murderous brothers and the merchant. The air became as thin as the hair of the two murderous brothers. The Demon Slayer and Dragon Slayer instantly unsheathed their swords and surrounded Rowley. Just this time they felt an aura that even pierced into the bone. The aura that made them unsettled, was like being in the dark. Fear is clearly the most normal reaction right now. Fear of ignorance itself.

They looked around, waiting for something to appear from behind the shadow of the forest that was impenetrable to sunlight.

A long hand-like shadow darted through the ground, tightly tying Rowley's legs and pulling them. Rowley's hands tried to reach anything nearby, then she managed to hold on to a rock embedded deep enough in the ground. “Please me! You two, pull me up! Stupid fool!” he screamed as the shadow tried to pull him away.

The two brothers just kept silent, staring at Rowley who was getting more and more powerless to hold her body. Then, the shadow pulled him with incredible force to make Rowley's fingernails detach and leave a trail of blood along the ground. The merchant ended up being swallowed by endless darkness.

While the Dragon Killer and the Demon Killer could only gulp down and see the horrors that were happening before his eyes. They put up horses and pointed a sword in front of him. This time not a shadow, a blue-eyed girl walked up to them from behind the trees wearing a black robe equipped with two long feathers in her hood that resembled the head of an owl.

As the light revealed the hidden face of the girl, the bodies of the two fighters became stiff unmoved. A beautiful face is also terrible. The Demon Killer forced himself to lung forward and thrust his sword towards the girl. A number of shadow hands just like before appeared from the shadow of the girl herself, then brushed off her attack and threw the Demon Killer's body into the tree.

As the Dragon Slayer prepared its arrows, the Demon Killer rose again and unleashed fruitless repeated slashes. The girl managed to avoid everything easily. Once again, a shadowy hand threw down the Demon Killer. The girl was shocked, when right in front of her appeared an arrow.

In an instant, the girl disappeared and her arrow was stuck in a tree. The Dragon Killer's eyes widened when he saw his brother lying on the ground, but he did not see the girl. Before he could react, a hand gripped his head. Black energy shot out from the girl's hand and sipped into her body, into her soul. Instantly his body could not be moved, as if he did not want to obey his orders. He could only see the girl's expression cold as ice, but also in the darkness itself. The quest for a treasure is over.

A few days later, the city guards on patrol found the two brothers unconscious in the meadow. When they were asked why they could be in this place, they did not remember a single thing that happened. However, their crime records have been recorded in the archives and they ended up in prison. When the head of the guard asked if there were any more, his men said firmly, “That's all, sir. We didn't find anything else.”
