His bare footsteps were so light that they left a mark of battle. The mysterious cloaked girl, standing at the border of the forest. His eyes glanced to the right, a tree with a symbol shaped like a semicircle and a small horizontal line in its center that was engraved on the tree trunk. The symbol is broken, the light fades. The girl sighed and complained, “She was so eager to do her job.”
The girl touched the symbol with her index finger, a shining light flashed a glance and fixed the broken symbol. A transparent magic layer that formed a dome surrounding the forest appeared as the symbol was intact again. The magic layer is a magic protector created due to the connection between the symbols that have been embedded between the outer trees. This protector serves to prevent people from entering. However, because one of the connecting symbols was broken, the men managed to get into the forest.
After refining her magic symbol, the girl turned her head, looking from afar at the small shadows of the bustling city. Merchants sell to each other, little children play as knights, warriors in charge of touring the corners of the city. He only looked with his cold face, like a dead man, not caring so much about things that had nothing to do with him. Leaving the crowd and returning to his solitude.
The girl glanced past her shoulder towards the city. A knight with all his armor complete was jet black, even his sword appeared and walked past the magic protector without any problems.
“What's up? You said you wanted to eat in town? Why so long?” The girl approached the knight.
“I'm sorry, Your Majesty. Two men got in my way.” The knight immediately knelt down and lowered his head before the cloaked girl.
“Lain times you have to be careful.” The girl turned around. “Now help me clean this up.” He pointed to the former battle that was going on fast, leaving behind memories and items that had already lost their owners. “By the way, don't call me your highness or princess again. I don't like it.”
“Good Princess, I mean Miss Faye,” her gallant voice resounded in her metal helmet.
Sword, gold coins, necklace with teeth and claws and other equipment, the girl named Faye carried him with a black shadow that acted as her third hand. While the small flames were still burning in the ashes, it was extinguished when the knight stockpiled it with the ground. The arrows that stuck deep enough in the tree trunk, were plucked out one by one.
The girl and the knight put all the items together on the ground. With his magic, a black-colored hole appeared and swallowed the items. They all felt clean, they left the place.
While walking behind the cloaked girl, the curious knight asked, “Is there a bully when I leave, Miss Faye?”
Faye turned a little and nodded.
“I'm sorry, Miss Faye. This is because of my carelessness that is not in the forest to keep watch.” The knight bowed his body. As a knight, he destroyed his pride as well as the noble duties given to him. Before the leader he served forgave him, he would not lift himself up.
Faye sighs, “I forgive you.”
“I think the lady must have erased their memories. Does it have to be done?” ask the knight in curiosity.
“Of course. If they remember it, even worse things will keep coming, people will take advantage of it and seize the dangerous thing for themselves,” Faye said.
“And miss also absorbs ... using some kind of magic to lock them up?”
“Not all, just one. I'm too weak to do it all at once.”
“So, forgive my question miss.”
Faye turned around and told the knight to continue his guard duty while he would wander around the forest to check if any symbols were broken or anything else. The knight immediately rushed off to carry out his duty.
Faye then checked on another suspicious thing, she did not want the same incident to repeat itself again when she used to be too naive to let a herd of Forest Wolves come and become the apex predator in this forest. However, he could not retract his decision back then, let the laws of nature happen by itself without his interference and magic. After all, the wolf had managed to hold off the greedy humans before he came.
On the way, the girl saw a doe and her cubs chewing on grass. He approached the small deer calmly, bowing his body while giving a pinch of weed in his hand. Under his mother's supervision, the little deer slowly approached the girl, sniffed the grass in her hand and ate it. After the girl managed to gain her trust, she ventured to rub the neck of the little deer. In addition to her face that was always the same at all times, the girl still opened her heart to the animals in the forest.
In addition to deer, rabbits that play on collapsed tree trunks also enliven the atmosphere of the forest. But the sound behind the shaking bushes attracted Faye's attention. He immediately understood when he smelled the pungent scent of lavender. Faye cut through the bushes, and found a man with a serious face and luxurious clothes crouching watching a Lantern Cat chasing a flying butterfly.
“What are you doing here, Archie?” greet the girl.
The man turned his head and smiled towards Faye, “Oh, hello Faye.” His hands showed gestures like inviting him near him. “I'm observing a Lantern Cat. His behavior, color of his fur, and the shape of his unique tail. Rarely do I get a chance to see this shy creature.”
Lantern cats are a type of forest cat that is not much different from house cats. The pattern in the fur is gray and black with yellow eyeballs, some lantern cats are found to have neon blue eyes. However, what makes it unique is the tip of its tail which is shaped like a hairy lantern. At night, the feather at the end of his tail will light up like a lantern. This cat uses its tail to hunt at night. However, it does not rule out the possibility of being able to find lantern cats that play during the day.
Faye squatted down next to the man, sprinkled sparkling magic powder from his hands and played with the cat. Even the imitation and innocence of the behavior of the cat did not make the face of the girl change the least. Flat as a board.
“Of course.”
Faye then headed for an old and magical tree with a large size. The skin is brown-gray with a rough texture. Green pinnate leaves grow along the thick and sturdy branching branches. On one of its branches, a bird cage hung. The orange is made of spruce wood which is made to wiggle. On the front there is a fairly wide distance between the bars used to go in and out.
With her magic, the robed girl floated high enough to see a White Owl that was sound asleep in a wooden cage. Its fur is snow-white and soft to the touch, thick enough for the cold night air. When Faye touched the bird's head, she woke up and chirped like she was greeting the girl. “Good morning, Rue,” Faye finally gave a small smile. He only came to check on Rue, he did not want to disturb the small creature's deep sleep
A house in the middle of the forest. A normal-looking house with a flower garden in its courtyard. The girl went inside, when she reached the main room with a table and chair in the middle, she turned to a door on the right. The door is sealed with special magic. His hand swept from left to right at the door, a white light appeared that made the door open. When the girl walked in, the door closed miraculously again and no one could open it except her.
In a dark room illuminated by only a few candles, no windows meant no outside light. There are various books on the shelves made of wood. The girl picked up a brown book called ‘The Sky’ Splitting Sword Story, checked out the entire page, then picked up another book under the title ‘Tongs For The Princess Part 4’, also checked the entire page, and then took out another book called <TAG1>Dongs For The Princess Part 4<TAG1>, and he did the same to the other 51 books. Then, he headed to the closet containing magic equipment, such as scrolls, magic sticks, magic swords, talismans, masks, potion bottles, rings and a wide variety of strange and unique magic devices. The girl took one by one and activated her magic to check if the tool still stored magic energy and was functioning properly. This action he did to prevent unwanted things from happening.
The day changed, the girl came out of her house and headed to a pond. He sat on his hands by the pool. His feet hung below until his eyes were submerged in the pool water. Remove the fatigue with the coolness of the pool water. Faye sighed and closed her eyes, letting her mind drift in the calm flow of the pond. Like dripping water creates ripples. Initially swaying creates waves then becomes quiet as in dreamland. His soul seemed to be fused with nature, feeling the falling leaves, the wind blowing the flowers gently and the small vibrations on the ground. That's how Faye rested herself after her busy tour of the forest.
As his mind dissolved in tranquility, a silhouette of a person's face appeared in his mind and interrupted his time hanging out. Recalling the figure he had touched earlier this morning, his head immediately lowered and although it was cold but a feeling of heaviness was evident on his face, he exhaled while wondering, “Where is the girl?” Faye lifted her legs out of the pool and left after tidying her robe from the dust. The look on his face was clearly shown that he was upset, but inevitably had to search before night.
He then walked to the place he thought the figure he was looking for was. Glanced to the right and to the left during his journey, hoping to find a clue. Unexpectedly, the figure he was looking for appeared right before him. A brown-haired young girl approached him with a strange smile. He wears a long brown tunic shirt up to the heel plus a corset that presses his waist. On his arm, a basket full of fruits like apples and berries.
“What are you doing Rynn?” the robed girl asked. “Where have you been?”
The girl named Rynn, walking prancing around like she was in love. Then he showed me his basket, “Look, I found fresh fruits over there. As I was walking, I saw a little blue fruit that I had never seen before. I tried it right away, and it turned out to be very sweet but slightly sour. It's so good that I forgot time. I brought him some if you want. I also pick apples and other fruits,” said the feisty girl.
“Forget it, didn't I give you the task of checking the broken magic symbol?”
Rynn smiled as she rubbed her head. “Forgot, hehe.”
“Because you forgot, someone managed to get into the forest and I ended up finishing everything.” Faye raised her voice a little.
“Don't say you hurt those people. It can't be like that! Remember what I taught you, when you meet someone, the first thing to do is smile sweetly. If you continue to be cruel like that, no one will like you.” Rynn held onto the shoulder of the robed girl and shook her body.
"I'm just erasing their memories." Faye didn't say if she was also absorbing someone. He didn't want Rynn to know and make him worry more.
"That's not okay!"
“I'm not a girl like you who can do anything on her own and can only smile. If only you were not tempted by the fruits and did not forget your duty, then I would not have to punish them.”
Rynn flinched, those words piercing directly in her little heart. He realized his mistake and immediately his spirit disappeared. The girl was embarrassed and apologized, promising not to repeat the same thing. As his apology, he would make tea for her. Rynn rushed to the house and did not forget he ate the fruits he picked one by one.
Faye couldn't believe it, because of such a ridiculous thing, this forest could be threatened. Faye punched her forehead and removed her dizziness with her flower garden. He gently watered to the plants that decorated his house.
After all the plants got enough water, she put back her flush, picked up a few flower stalks in her garden, then tied them up into a beautiful bouquet of flowers. The girl walked over to an Amoria Tree which was underneath embedded with a pair of large stones. Accompanied by the twilight light, she dropped her knees and placed her flower array in front of the stone, standing up before long and then turned away.
The sky became dark, fireflies flew all over the forest, animals returned to their comfortable nests and rested, the rest hunted in the wild and continued activities.
The girl returned to the magic tree, with her magic she floated up and landed on a branch that was sturdy enough for her. She tidied up her robe and skirt then sat quietly in the darkness of the night. His head and eyes were fixed upwards, staring at the majesty of the moonlight. The white light reflected the sparkle of the girl's blue eyes, revealing the beauty behind it. A few moments later, a flock of owls perched on the surrounding tree and accompanied the girl. The last one to come was Rue the White Owl, flying at night like a speck of hope among the eternal darkness. Alighted next to the girl, waiting for the caress from her hand.
Rynn arrives shortly to bring her a hot cup of chamomile tea, the same time the night breeze starts to caress Faye's soft skin. The girl waved her fingers, flew the tea cup with magic and landed it in her hand. Sipping the sweet tea just a little already makes his body warm again. Before Rynn leaves, Faye invites him to sit next to her and enjoy a starry night together.
“Maybe next time. My body is tired, I want to go to sleep. And also, I have prepared a cake on the table, if one day you are hungry,” replied Rynn who walked away while yawning.
In a soft voice, the robed girl replied, “Alright,” followed by her sweet little smile in the cold middle of the night, accompanied only by the moon, the owls and a cup of hot tea.
