Rynn leaves at night without telling anyone. Rynn looked and observed the village guards patrolling. He found an unguarded path and used it to head for the forest. As he reached the forest entrance, he heard a song that hypnotized him. Rynn subconsciously dropped his bucket on the ground, then walked down the bushes and trees. Like a controlled person, Rynn continued walking straight towards the source of the sound. Rynn doesn't know how long it's been. Walk without feeling thirsty or hungry. Rynn then saw a bright light like moonlight before his eyes. He looked at the black-robed girl who was humming by the pool while dipping her legs. The moonlight reflected the light from the pool onto the girl's face.
Enchanted with the girl, Rynn continued walking nonstop and fell into a pond that exuded the majesty of the moonlight. The pool water felt different from the water he had been feeling. The water is fresher and more soothing. There were no fish or other living creatures in the pond. The purity of the pool water made Rynn's face look brighter radiant and soft, his long, shiny hair dripping with pool water, and his scent was like a fragrance that came from heaven. Rynn breathed a sigh of relief while soaking in the pond. Enjoy the time until the morning.
During the water crisis, Rynn and other villagers reduced their use of water by drinking a little water and bathing only once every 2 to 3 days. That's why he really enjoyed his soaking time in the pool that brought calmness in his heart, like he was at home before the war hit. The water pool has magic that makes anyone who soaks or drinks from the pool water has a long life and makes someone young. Without Rynn realizing it, he would never feel old in his lifetime.
Rynn lifted himself to the edge of the pool in his wet clothes and lanterns and food, and sat down next to the black-robed girl. “Hey, do you know this pool? The water is very clear and refreshing. By the way, my name is Rynn,” he said while squeezing water from his hair. While the girl next to him was silent without being disturbed by Rynn's existence, she just stared at his reflection in the pond.
“Oh yes, I just remembered, can I bring this water back to my village? The village where I live is short of water, so I brought 2 buckets, one for my mother and another to convince the villagers. I don't want to bring water for all the villagers, let them alone take it,” said Rynn excitedly.
The black-robed girl named Faye chose silence not to answer Rynn's words. While Rynn is looking for her bucket which she dropped unconsciously. Turns out the bucket was hidden behind the bushes not far from there. He was sure that he had checked the place before and found nothing. But, Rynn ignored him and filled both of his buckets with magic pool tears, after he finished he immediately left, shouting thanks as he waved his hand towards the black-robed girl.
Faye then made a movement in the air with her finger, as soon as Rynn's clothes dried up, without Rynn noticing his passion. In front of him, Rynn saw a low-flying White Owl. Rynn thought if he followed the owl he would be able to get out of the forest. Rynn ran after the owl and managed to get out of the forest. The White Owl re-entered the forest leaving Rynn to approach the village with glad tidings.
As he entered the village and greeted the residents with his sweet smile that was illuminated by the morning sun, Rynn was startled and stopped, instead of the ecstatic feeling he got, fear was clearly emblazoned on the faces of the villagers. Even his own father, the village chief, yelled at him while driving him away, “Kutukan! Get out of this village! Don't you dare set foot here again! I won't let you spread the curse to the citizens!”
It is only natural that people feel fear. Their minds were in chaos then. The forest has been a victim since the past. No one has ever come back happy like that girl. Moreover, wars are going on everywhere. Supplies are getting thinner and thinner. Terror, fear, murder, darkness, monsters, what else could hit their land, a girl who was presumed dead now appeared with her cheerful face. At the time, Rynn had no idea that she had disappeared for more than a week since she first entered the forest.
“Dad, it's me, Rynn.” Rynn melas's face.
The man's eyes glared. “Cannot be! You're not my daughter, Rynn is dead.”
“This is a joke isn't it?” Rynn lowered her head, hiding her sadness behind her hair that was unraveling forward.
“For what lies! Guard quickly remove him!” The village chief ordered a number of guards who came carrying spears.
The sword and spear pointed at him. No need for a gun, Rynn's heart's been hurt enough. He felt a pain that pierced his chest. After all he had done for the sake of the village, struggling to find a pond into the forest that was somehow what kind of danger the nineteen-year-old village girl would face, he accepted what was not appropriate. As the villagers chanted and threw stones at him, Rynn dropped his bucket, the pool water he took seeped into the ground and re-filled the village's wells with his magic. Without a word, Rynn pointed her back towards her angry father and left. The blood flowing from his head was mixed with tears. Rynn also realizes that if she leaves, she will leave her mother who she hopes her illness has healed.
The villagers did not care about him, and he walked out of the village. But, where he had to go, he did not bring any money. Even traveling is not possible. Should I beg for every house? Then his mind was like a tangled thread and finally became neat. He decided to go to the forest.
He returned to the pool where the robed girl was. Rynn was shocked when she saw Faye, her cries getting louder. He then sat by the pool opposite Faye while covering his tear-filled face with his arm.
Faye, who saw blood seeping from Rynn's head, healed her wound with magic. Rynn realized her pain was disappearing, she wiped her tears and tried to hold her sob as she said, “May I stay here with you?” While waiting for an answer, a White Owl appeared and perched on the grieving girl's shoulders. Rynn stroked the owl, causing her grief to slowly fade away. Faye was silent for a while, then without thinking, agreed with Rynn's request by nodding.
“I want to ask you.” Faye broke the silence, making the White Owl startled and flew away.
“Bby, ask any.” Rynn wiped her tears.
“Are you not afraid in a dangerous place like this? Aren't you afraid of me?”
“When entering this forest is scary, but seeing a girl with a pretty face like you, my fear is gone. When I first saw you, I felt lonely for you, alone in this world, not accepted by those around you.”
Rynn is a girl who can't do anything and doesn't know what. When his helplessness was faced with a figure stronger than him, he preferred to follow his plot. But the girl did not see Faye as a figure stronger than him, just as he seemed helpless with his current condition. That's what made Rynn decide to return to the forest. To meet the same girl as her.
Faye's stunned. He closed his lips. His face was slightly showing sadness, like recalling the past.
“I no longer have family and home, after all as fellow lonely girls, we should be friends with each other, right?” rynn continued with a sweet smile towards Faye.
“Friends?”
“Disana.” Faye pointed to a bright light behind a row of pitch-black trees.
Rynn curiously approached the designated location. He found a fairly large house with walls and a wooden roof. Decorated by Moonflowers that are buds propagating along the fence that surrounds the house. A number of lanterns fill the corners of the house with candles in it that automatically extinguish when the morning arrives. Rynn was fascinated by the beauty of the neat courtyard as well as the flowers that created the fragrance.
Rynn held the doorknob and pushed it. Directly facing a large room with a rectangular wooden table and 6 chairs located on the side of the table. A broom hangs horizontally on the wall of the fireplace behind the table which, although the fire has been extinguished, can still warm Rynn's body. On the left side of the room are two doors. One opens and shows a kitchen. The door on the right side of the room was closed very tightly. Even though Rynn pushed it very strongly, the door did not open, like it was locked. In the left and right corners of the fireplace, there are two stairs that lead to the back of the fireplace and become one in a hallway. In the hallway there are 3 doors on the right side and 2 other doors on the left side. Among the 5 doors, the other 4 doors look unkempt and dusty while only one looks clean.
“Hey, why are there so many rooms here?” Rynn yells as Faye enters the house.
“That's my family room.”
“Then, where are they?”
Faye climbed the stairs and approached Rynn on the second floor. “They're gone,” he said.
“Oh sorry..” Face Rynn sayu.
"Nothing."
“Can I use one of these rooms?” pinta Rynn with a look at the melas to the cloaked girl.
Faye nodded, and it made Rynn happy. Rynn frowned while glancing at the door one by one. Maybe the choice was too much for him. As Rynn was forcing his brain to work, he realized that in every door there was some kind of engraved symbol. And Rynn's gaze was fixed on the door that had a water flow-shaped symbol. Rynn touched and felt the carving which he thought was beautiful.
“That room belongs to my second sister, Aena. My sister is very-”
“It looks like I like this one.” Rynn stuck his forehead on the door. “Honestly, my heart still hurts when I leave the village. I felt like I had nothing left, but when I met you alone in the middle of the night, when I made this choice, I realized, I couldn't take my choice back. I try to move on and live my life right now, with you. Like water that keeps flowing. You understand, right?” Rynn smiled at Faye.
"No," Faye replied with her cold face. "But, if you want, just use that room."
“Thank you. Even though your face always looks expressionless and looks unconcerned with your surroundings, but I think you're a good person.”
"Yes." Yeah."
Rynn then entered the room he had chosen, “I'm a little tired by the way. I'm gonna take a break. So, wake me up when lunch is ready, ok,” said Rynn and closed the door slowly. Meanwhile, Faye turned around and walked towards the window on the top floor.he looked outside and was seen thinking of something that bothered him. Under his hooded robe, his cold expression did not change even though by his side there was always a smile of Rynn who was as bright as the sun.
Faye recalled her memories, when she was a child. Feeding the birds in his yard with the remains of a painting. However, his finger accidentally pecked and spat out blood. A teenage girl with sea-blue eyes and braided hair approached him from inside the house. He bent his body and directed magic energy from both of his hands. A blue-colored light that was as cold as the deep ocean and as soft as a grain of beach sand emerged from his hand and healed the wound. The girl is Aena. Second brother Faye.
Aena sat down next to her sister. “It doesn't hurt?” tanya while tilting her head and smiling gently. His sister could only nod without replying to anything. “Don't forget, if someone smiles at you you should reply with a smile, understand?” The soft voice that came out from Aena's lips made her sister fascinated. Aena was sure that one day her sister would understand and she could finally see her sister's sweet smile.
After a few hours, a fragrant scent filled the entire house and woke Rynn from her sleep. Rynn followed the scent. His eyes shone when he found the almonds on a plate that was still warm on the main room table. Beside him, chamomile tea with a beautiful cup also completes the perfection of the dish at that time. With his stomach empty, Rynn devoured the painting. Rynn felt a savory texture and sweetness at each of his bites. Rynn then thought to increase the pleasure of eating the painting by dipping it in chamomile tea. When he tried it, he was surprised, the texture of the painting was still savory and crunchy, even tea was still not enough to make the painting melted. Rynn then realized to make a savory and crunchy texture even though it had been dipped, the dough must be in the perfect heat level and the right time. Rynn vigorously devoured the painting without showing his manners to the point of choking him. He took a cup containing chamomile tea and drank it. The softness of the tea made her heart satisfied. Fragrance from the tea can even be used as a room fragrance by Rynn. He then finished the tea until the last drop. After feeling his stomach fully filled, Rynn looked at Faye who was standing in the courtyard and walked up to him.
“Hey, what are you doing out here? By the way, this, the painting left one, sorry, I ate too much, hehe.” Rynn gives one a painting while smiling innocently.
Faye shook her head. “What's wrong, just make you.”
Rynn's eyes are shining. “Really? That's very kind of you. I promise to always accompany you.” Rynn broke the painting in two. Then he gave some to Faye. “You haven't eaten yet. Just take. Friends should share.” Faye finally accepted it and it was then that Rynn first saw a small smile engraved on Faye's stiff face. Upon seeing the miracle, Rynn's heart grew convinced to accompany the lonely girl. Rynn then holds the hand of the cloaked girl and invites her as a lonely fellow girl to soak in the pool of springs.
