The War Of Gemstone: Owl & Flower

The War Of Gemstone: Owl & Flower
Silver Armor and Red Coat

The next morning, the knight found a droplet of blood on the path he had gone through earlier. This made the bandits find him. He picked up his horse and confirmed the saddle, got ready and he rushed off before the enemy troops managed to catch up to him.

But it was too late, enemy troops and bandits kept coming along his path. Sometimes he fights when he can, sometimes he hides when the number of enemies is too much and too tired. The knight understood the enemy troops chasing him, but he was confused as to why bandits and assassins kept popping up. When the bandits came again, the knight captured alive one of the bandits. He asked why bandits and hit men were after him.

“A-pardon me, someone in a red coat says that if I manage to capture a knight in silver plated I will be given a lot of gifts,” said the frightened bandit.

The knight hit him and left him unconscious on the ground. When he heard the man in the red coat, his heart was burning with flames of anger but on the other hand he was also afraid. He recalled the remark from King Barias to be true. The knight refused to believe and continued to wander in search of someone who would help him.

Suddenly, as if tripping over something, he and his horse tumbled forward. His beloved horse wriggled and neighed in pain as a number of venomous snakes bit his leg. The Silver Knights then slashed the snakes one by one. However, something created a great earth tremor that made him fixated like a statue. A snake the size of a house, raised its head from the ground. His scales all over his body were overgrown with moss. His eyes were sharp, bringing death to anyone who faced him. The snake opened its mouth wide, appearing two long fangs that could pierce through the armor. With his huge neck muscles, he pushed his head with great force towards the knight's horse. The horse died in one fell swoop. The monster lifted the horse with its mouth up and swallowed it round and round. But his stomach was not satisfied, his branching tongue sticking out, feeling the naughtiness of the small prey wielding the sword. The frightened Silver Knight could not possibly win against the monstrous creature. Moreover, it was impossible for him in this kind of condition to escape. The only option is to fight.

With a unanimous determination, the knight dodged the snake's attack. Then when his big head stared at the ground, the knight slashed his neck. Even his sword was unable to penetrate the hard scales of the snake. Due to the slow movement of the snake, the smaller knight's body had an advantage. As he approached the head of the snake, he slashed several times at the previous slash. In this way, he could pierce through the scales of the snake.

When he was about to perform his final slash, a figure of a man appeared and fended off his attack. Yellow eyes with long round shaped pupils like snakes stared intently into the sidelines of the knight's head protector. The knight kept his distance, now his anger regrouped when he saw the man before him wearing a red coat.

“Finally met you too.” The man grinned.

Without further ado the Silver Knight directly asked him, “Say. Why did you attack Aramor? We never mess with other governments.” The knight pointed his sword forward.

“Tenebrum just wants to seize the pusssaka that your king owns. But, it seems like he handed it over to someone else.” The red-coated man stared intently at the knight with his eyes and hiss like a snake.

“Treasure?” The knight glanced at the sword in his hand. “Only for heirlooms, to willingly destroy other kingdoms?”

The man in the red coat snorted. “It's not pusssaka ssseborangan. That pusssaka has the power we need.”

The rain dripped down from the black sky. Moisten the two men who looked at each other. The red-coated man turned towards the giant snake behind him. He stroked the snake scales gently. “You okay, Aposss my love?” The man turned his head past his shoulder and looked at the hated knight.

“The switch is yours?”

His hand that had taken away many lives the Aramor warrior gently caressed the scales of the snake. “Beauty right? I found it while it was still an egg in a ssssarang in Alderia. The Desert People call it Hulun Kar.”

“Good.” The coat-clothed man drew his sword with a handle shaped like a snake opening his mouth. “I, Rasssgan, the Red Knights of Tenebrum, have fun answering your challenge.” He grinned and his eyes opened wide when he saw the knight's sword.

Thundering thunderbolts blared in the sky, signaling their battle began. The two soldiers ran face to face. Despite wearing heavy armor, the knight made a quick turn through Rasgan. He headed towards the snake behind the man.

The Silver Knight intended to defeat the snake first, because if the snake was still alive, his battle with Rasgan would be more difficult. The knight's sword managed to land on the snake's neck, but it wasn't deep enough. For the second time, Rasgan repelled the knight's attack. There was a fierce battle between them. However, when the knight wanted to launch an attack on Rasgan, the snake disturbed him, and vice versa when he wanted to attack the snake, Rasgan again repelled it.

Troublesome, annoyed the knight. He then drove to the snake, he was ready to launch an attack. And as he expected, Rasgan appeared to fend off, but the knight's sword swing did not intend to attack the snake, but was meant for Rasgan. The unsuspecting Rasgan was hit by a direct attack. The sword hit Rasgan's waist, but just like at Grandell, it seemed to be stuck by something behind his coat. A number of snakes crept out of his coat as he chuckled. The snake wrapped around Rasgan's body, becoming a suit of armor for him.

The strategy of the knight failed, he stepped back. But at the same time, with its huge tail, the snake snatched the knight who had not dodged it. Rasgan approached the knight who was lying in pain.

With his sword resting, the knight tried his hardest to stand up.

The red-coated man kicked the knight to the ground. “I'll take your sword.”

“No I will give up my king's sword.” The Silver Knight was still trying to lift his trembling body.

“You mean the old king? Ssshoney once in a while you can't see the weak old man's last exsspression.” The man licked his sword blade. “Your kingdom, your king, everything I destroyed.”

Emotions are overflowing and unstoppable. The knight used all his anger to stand up and launched a random attack. However, Rasgan easily avoided the attack using only a little energy. No matter how angry, the knight still could not defeat Rasgan. He began to be unable to maintain the balance of his limp body. Just a slight push from Rasgan's feet, the knight fell helplessly.

The corner of Rasgan's lips rose to one side, he turned around giving his snake a sign. “Habissi dia.”

Jaws full of teeth as sharp as knives opened wide, leading to the knight kneeling on his sword. The Silver Knight closed his eyes. Time seems to go slowly. He raised his head up. Rain water penetrated the sidelines of his helmet and soaked his face. Behind the black cloud that enveloped the entire plain, a small glint of light appeared shining down on the man. Suddenly a bright green light shone from the jewel attached to the cross shaft of his sword. In a little while, the knight drew his sword that was stuck on the ground. He swung his sword up. The wind blew so fierce that it made a raindrop swept away as the sword was swung. Black blood spurted out like a fountain. Covering the silver color of the knight's armor and sword but not with that green gem. In front of the knight, a headless giant snake body spurted out black blood. While the head was thrown far behind him with a gaping mouth.

The two men standing there looked at each other. Rasgan's mouth and eyes were wide open, “A-Aposss..” The man immediately ran towards the knight, pointing his sword. “Brengsssek you!”

The Silver Knight quickly repelled his attack. The clash of metal blades between the two created a fierce wind once again. A blow from the wind threw the two men away. The knight was thrown very far in the air, passing through trees and rivers and landing very hard on the grass which rendered him unconscious. Luckily, his body was enveloped by a green light that reduced the impact of his landing.
