Faye got up, then chased after Archie who was in front. They followed the footprints of the charred that led to somewhere. The footprints lead to a large rock flanked by shrubs and trees.
Faye lowered her head and immediately pulled Archie's body. He put his index finger on his lips. “Sst. The cat is in front.” Faye then stepped slowly while bowing her body like a big rock. He stopped behind a rock.
Archie. Bending his body to adjust to the size of the stone, then stopping next to Faye. His head slowly emerged from behind the stone to peek. The man saw a tiger with a black hook pattern that adorned his beautiful dark blue fur. The creature was soundly asleep in the grass, not far from where they were. Its front legs support its large, spunky head, with long fangs protruding from its upper jaw.
Faye's nose caught the pungent scent of lavender. He glanced at Archie. A brilliant idea came to mind of the girl. “Archie, you want to help right?”
“Of course.”
“You approach the creature slowly, and do not wake him. I was a little exhausted while casting magic earlier, so I can't help you.” Faye shrank her voice.
Archie feels something suspicious, but because he has made up his mind, he agrees with Faye's request.
“Take it easy, as long as you don't wake her up, you'll be safe. I'll wait here,” whispered the girl.
The man then jumped over a large rock. Body shaking. He thought this was not a good idea, but it was too late to back down. After all retreating in front of a girl was very embarrassing for him. He then crawled to a creature that was fast asleep. His hands swept through the weeds. The closer, the snoring sound of the creature the more clearly heard. Archie stopped as the creature's tail wagged. His yellow eyes opened slowly, the creature woke up staring intently at Archie. His heart will be broken.
Archie glanced back. “Please me,” whispered.
Faye simply responded by giving the frightened man a thumbs up.
Damnit.
The cat got up, and stretched its body. He lowered his front body and growled. Walk slowly towards Archie. Each of his steps left footprints that were burned by the blue flames.
Archie was still stunned, not daring to move his body in the slightest. Sweat poured down his face as he saw the creature showing fangs along the sword. Archie then wanted to take out the sheet when the cat was close to him. The cat immediately jumped when it saw the movement from the man's hand. Archie flinched backwards. He closed his eyes, hoping it was just a dream.
Wet and rough texture, touching Archie's cheek. He opened his eyes slowly and saw the cat licking his body like a toy. “What happened?” The cat did not look threatening at all, looking like an ordinary house cat but with blue fur and fiery claws.
The girl walked leisurely behind Archie. “Macan Maderazul is a benign creature, especially if you smell a fragrant aroma. He likes it,” obviously the girl. His lips are small.
Archie pushed the creature's big head. Lifting his body covered in cat saliva. He sniffed his shoulder which smelled the distinctive scent of lavender flowers even though it was slightly faded. “This is my perfume.”
The big cat rubbed his head against Archie's body. His blue hair was clinging onto the man's body. Archie held on to the cat's neck. His fingers were immersed in the thick, warm fur.
The girl chuckled as she looked at her mischievous plan to make Archie fear success. Faye used her magic to cleanse Archie's body, after which walked up next to the creature and buried her head in its blue belly. “Soft.” His hand rubs the belly feathers. Her face brightly beamed in response to the warmth of the cat's fur.
Archie's fascinated. This was the first time the man had seen Faye's cheerful face. A face that makes you forget the past. It was different when I first met him. Previously the girl looked stiff and unexpressive. There was no warm atmosphere around it, like walking beside the ice. Ask and answer only what is necessary. No frustration, Archie was glad the girl had him. Archie began to be a little relieved, that a cold girl like her who for hundreds of years went through many things could still smile. The man will try to protect his smile.
Suddenly there was the sound of a girl screaming, screeching in the night sky from the other side of the forest breaking the atmosphere. The cat released itself and hissed alertly, its tail feathers looking fluffy. Faye threw her gaze at Archie. Archie took a roll of the yard in his pocket and pointed it at the cat's head. Powerful magic energy as well as blue light appeared and absorbed the cat into the sheet. The dashing cat painting slowly emerged from the empty part.
Faye observed the trees behind her. “That's Rynn's voice. He is on the east side of the forest,” the girl said.
They were distracted by the screams, without them noticing that something else was lurking behind the darkness. Stalking at those who have lowered their vigilance. The creature climbed a tree with its claws. A single claw that grew from his front arm gripped the tree trunk. The creature observes from above with its brown round eyes. A long and sharp bone grew out at the end of his tail like a scythe. The creature leaped from a tree branch, spreading a fold of skin between its front legs and hind legs, called patagium. It glided through the wind behind them while directing its single claw forward. Just before his claws touched Faye's strands of hair, Rue appeared darting into the creature's stomach and injuring it with her claws.
Faye and Archie turned their heads as the huge ferret-like creature shrieked in pain. The weasel fell on the ground. The wound on his stomach wasn't too deep, just like a scratch. The creature then climbed a tree and then jumped again towards the bird. Faye ordered her hand-like shadow magic to capture the creature, but the creature fluttered its tail like a scythe. Faye's shadow magic was cut off and vanished. Rue dodged and pointed the claws at the ferret's back.
Archie was shocked when he saw Faye's magic disappear. “That creature can cut magic!?”
With his flexible body, the ferret gave way from Rue's attack. He jumped on a tree and drifted from one tree to another.
“Quick! Don't let the creature escape!”
Rue flew quickly after the ferret, followed by Faye and Archie at the back.
