In the hallway that was only illuminated by a glimmer of light from the left right side of the ceiling, all that was heard was the sound of Leana and Adde's footsteps.

“I'll explain about this secret line.” Leana spoke up in silence.

The secret passage owned by the Alphiella mansion is indeed in place, but the entrance to the path is not an ordinary entrance that is only hidden.

If the object that becomes the medium to hide the path is destroyed then access to the path will also disappear. The entrance to the secret passageway was shaped like dimensional magic and teleportation.

But because the magic is implanted in a certain object, as long as the source of the essence of magic that becomes its energy is still alive, the magic can be accessed at any time.

If the essence runs out of energy then the magic cannot be used and the object that becomes the medium will only become an ordinary object.

“As the legal owner of Alphiella I am automatically registered to be able to access anything that is in Alphiella, but for others it needs to be registered first by the owner to be able to access it.”

An unregistered person will only get lost when entering that dimensional space. They may be able to enter but later can not go out and vice versa.

This system of using secret paths that could be categorized as advanced and complicated was always a big question in his mind. Why the previous owners formed the Alphiella mansion as if it were a box of mystery.

At the end of the hallway the two found a very large open area and was a place that would never have been imagined would exist in a mansion.

The place was very empty and the light source only came from a crack of unknown origin.

In the middle of an area that is almost all white and filled with sand there is a plant highlighted by the only light in the place.

Wait, plants?

“Mistress, this place.. and moreover there are plants growing!”.

Adde tried to find answers by staring at the surrounding area but still could not find an answer. Leana walked towards the plant and stopped in front of him then turned towards Adde who was still silent in his position.

“Adde, will you make an oath and an appointment with me?”

In this world there is a form of unwritten assurance that is able to bind a person.

Oaths and promises.

A vow is an absolute form while a promise is a goal that must be fulfilled. 

Oaths and promises can only be formed when the giver of vows and vows do so sincerely, otherwise the bond will not be formed.

If the Oath and the promise are broken then whoever transgresses will get retribution for their deeds and the retribution will be in accordance with their deeds.

“From here I will start building my own strength to help Grandall in overcoming the problems that will come in the future.” With a stern look Leana extended her hand towards Adde who was still left in the shadows.

“I cannot promise a completely peaceful life, but I can give you a better life than before.” Leana added.

Adde was surprised to hear Leana's words but he slowly approached Leana and answered the helping hand. An exasperated smile was painted on her face and Leana was smiling from it.

“You are so honest and cruel mistress. I don't think it out. But with all my heart I will swear and promise to help you as your faithful shadow feet.”

When the oath and promise came out of Adde's mouth a glowing chain appeared between them and bound their hands as soon as the light dimmed and disappeared. Now the vows and promises from Adde have been received by Leana.

“Adde, I hereby welcome you as an official member of the shadow Alphiella.”

Leana explains to Adde her first life, from her divorce from Grandall to her end as a shadow member of Grand Duke Volfelance, as well as her plans for the future.

Adde who heard Leana's almost nonsensical story just fell silent and tried to digest the information calmly.

“No, madam, I know this is strange but why did you tell me such an important thing?”

“You don't even plan to tell your husband, Mr Grandall!” Adde exclaimed in annoyance at Leana who was just clenching her mouth as if receiving a reprimand. Adde's statement is not wrong.

“Quiet first Adde—”

“How much do you believe in me, no no, myself LIVED BEFORE, you are too careless! Here I do not know anything about you and I do not even fully trust you!”

“But, you've done your vows and promises.” Before Leana can reply, Adde instantly cuts her off. “Stay only!”

“Mistress, you are too hasty and rash. I don't know which part you're worried about but am I not the wrong person to be told about that fact?”

“Shouldn't your husband know?” Hearing Adde's words, Leana lowered her head and fell silent for a moment. He looked back at Adde.

“Adde, my relationship with Mr. Grandall from the beginning was not good. Want it first or now.”.

Adde silently waited for the continuation of Leana's words that sounded hesitant.

“There are several reasons why I should keep this matter a secret to him, especially since I have to be careful in making this shadow organization.”

“One of the biggest reasons is because I could have missed the opportunity to remain part of Grandall.

Adde frowned hearing Leana's explanation. Leana's reasoning was quite reasonable however…

Seeing Leana just standing still, Adde let out a long sigh and ruffled his hair violently.

“I plan to create two identities with different appearances between shadow and life outside later.”

With a resigned tone Adde put forth his proposal and Leana nodded in agreement. Adde snorted at Leana's indifferent reply.

Leana smiled again at Adde's words. It seems like he is waiting for this to be questioned.
