This Time, To The Believed Path

This Time, To The Believed Path
The Owner of The Magic Tower

In a loud voice, something suddenly appeared before Newt and Lumine one morning.

A pile of paper under the morning sun looked like a treasure hint in their eyes.

The two examined the object in front of them for a few minutes, as if anticipating anything that could be jeluar from the object.

Slowly, Newt grabbed one of the sheets of paper and read what was written in it.

No, rather, only a few words could enter his head.

As a child who lost his family as a child, there was not much Newt could learn.

There were many words he could not understand as his eyes fell on the sentence after sentence on the paper.

Newt does not know what drives him but he diligently searches word for word until he can understand the meaning of the sentence.

At one point, Newt began to understand what the heap of paper really was.

The stack of papers was a journal owned by someone with the initials N.P.

N. P. is a witch from a magic tower and a journal that is now in her hands telling her the story of her life.

All the stories in it revolve around the view of N.P and its surroundings.

For the first time, Newt sees a new vision he never knew. It formed a very strong feeling in his mind as time went on.

As he had reached the end point of the word engraved on the final paper, Newt stared at the ceiling of his room feeling empty but also full.

He began to wonder if this feeling everyone felt when reading a story in a leather-coated book that looks very expensive.

To take him to another world without moving a finger.

He closed his eyes and took a slow breath before throwing it away. Trying to calm down the feeling that was spinning in his mind.

Newt. They repeat every word that he has been through for a few months, not infrequently forgetting the time and surroundings.

The funny thing is that Lumine begins to suspect that Newt loves the journal more than he does.

That was the first time Newt laughed so much that his sister could only look at him wide with her mouth open.

Newt opened his eyes again. Then something he didn't know pushed him back.

He began to think about the possibilities that could happen to him based on the experience of N.P.

Newt made the decision to follow in his footsteps.

Only with desperate capital and makeshift preparations, Newt began his journey in awakening his magic power.

Although a little sad and worried about having to leave Lumine at the parlor where they live, Newt confidently walks forward into the future he is looking forward to.

Passing through a forest shrouded in dark rumors by residents living nearby, battling the beasts that live in it, trying to survive the rigors of life there, Newt reached his destination.

With limp eyes, his hands covered the light that shone straight from the gap of the trees.

Not far in front of him, a huge tree shone in the middle of the vast area, surrounded by the endless darkness of the forest.

Newt carefully walked up to the tree.

He grabbed the tree and touched it. Nothing happened.

Or that was what he thought with a feeling of disappointment following behind him.

As his fingers slipped from the tree, a firefly-like light emerged from the ground and enveloped the area.

The slightly panicked Newt quickly noticed the surroundings. Slowly a warm feeling flowed within his body.

Opening his eyes again, he saw streams of aura flying around him.

This is what the witches refer to as 'Mana'.

Newt is happy because his struggle is paying off. He managed to awaken his magic power!

After being content to play a little with his newfound strength, Lumine's figure flashed across his mind and he immediately prepared to return.

While looking at the familiar plant at the end of the area, Newt recalled the incident in the journal and began collecting some of the medicinal plants.

When he returned, the village he lived in looked a little gloomy and lonely.

Lumine explains to him that there is news that a disease is coming in some parts of the world.

Newt stared at the collection of plants he had managed to gather with a feeling of anxiety.

He looked back at Lumine and recalled how N.P also told him that he had a younger sister who was not named.

Newt increasingly felt every event that began to overlap with the one written in the journal and bad feelings formed in his mind.

He hoped that what happened in the journal did not happen to them. But he was too naive.

As hard as he tried to avoid it, bad grooves kept coming towards him.

In the end, Newt who was unable to completely prevent the plague that befell their territory made Lumine awaken her power as Saintess.

It didn't take long for news of Saintess' birth to reach the holy city.

Before the priests can retrieve Lumine from him, Newt gathers as much information as possible regarding the holy city, Saintess and the power of Lumine which turns out to be nothing like he imagined.

The power of Lumine instead has another function that has nothing to do with the plague that befell them.

Hence he tried to make a pact with the representatives of the holy city as they took Lumine away.

Afterwards Newt goes to the magic tower to deepen his knowledge.

He again uses his knowledge from the journal and forms connections and proves various clues about the ugliness behind the magic tower.

Within 4 years, Newt managed to reach a two-level position under the direction of the owner of the magic tower.

2 years later, Newt begins his plan to dismantle the evil magic tower with the help of his partner.

As he takes over the position of the owner of the magic tower, Newt is required to choose a clan to juxtapose with his name. That way he will not be humbled by anyone outside the magic tower.

Remembering the figure of N.P at the end of his mind, he also helped the surname 'Poteire'.

Not long after, Newt who contemplated the journey of his life full of various events even before reaching the number twenty again faced the journal that had been recorded neatly.

Thanks to the journal, he can have a much better life, more than he imagined. Approaching ideal.

He even avoided the grooves where he had to be completely cut off from Lumine due to their status.

His eyes still could not be seen staring at the journal and slowly various questions that had never been crossed before began to appear.

Despite having occupied the position of the owner of the magic tower and having the nickname 'genius' on his back, Newt still had not found the answer he wanted.

Newt may have found the answer himself despite being dissatisfied and ready to finish his question mark about the journal.

If not for the news of the existence of the magic labyrinth keeper—Newt Poteire might have given up.

"Unfortunately, the power is not from the magic tower."

Telsia dropped her answer out loud even before they could take a new breath.

Newt turned his eyes down. A faint smile formed on his face.

"Is so... I expected it a little." a disappointed tone sounded from his mouth but his eyes did not emit the same feeling as his voice.

More precisely, his feelings of curiosity about other possibilities and his gratitude for the miracle he got were far greater than any negative reality he faced.

"But, don't you already have a theory that the journal was sent from the future?"

Newt slowly raised his head. A new ray was seen in his eyes, capturing the answer he had always wanted to hear.

"Right now you are the owner of the magic tower thanks to the journal. It doesn't rule out the possibility that you in the future have found the right formula to use time magic."

This time it was Leana's turn to be surprised.

"But if it's from the future-"

"really. Newt Poteire with his powers, thinking that he used time magic, sends his journal to another world branch with time in the past." he cut it off.

Telsia's eyes that were staring down at Newt now turned to the frozen Leana.

Whatever the next word that was about to come out was something he never thought would happen.

"The original figure of N.P is Newt Poteire from your home world, Leana."

Leana took a breath and they all fell silent.

The information released by Telsia is too large for them to understand directly.

Leana found her eyes again met with her reflection on the surface of the tea.

Leana opened her mouth with a slight hesitation.

"Why did you tell me all this?"

Newt looked at him with an unreadable look.

"I don't know myself." His fingers stroked the handle of the cup for no reason. "I just feel that this is the thing I should do."

He also added.

Leana opened her mouth and closed it again. A familiar feeling grew in his mind.

"In the end I'm just a human being" he said weakly.

As strong and tough as any magic tower owner, the unexplainable feeling of loneliness from having held something they should not have held onto was undeniable.

Leana could not imagine how relieved Newt felt when sharing the story with him.

To him who also thinks that now he may not stand on the same footing with the people around him.

Leana snorted with a smile.

"Thank you."

"Please don't take my word."

Newt snorted and averted his eyes. It was as if he had been liberated.

His eyes looked towards the new light as his feet again began a new step.

Lumine who had been silent just smiled looking at the two.

It seemed like the meeting of the two was something good for them.

Like a conversation aimed at releasing their pent-up feelings to the right person.

"Then I'll say goodbye. You enjoy this time to talk as you like."

Without waiting for an answer from them, Telsia disappeared along with her wind magic. Now they're back with three people.

"Marchioness, I still want to pay for my carelessness in advance, is there anything you want from me?"

"Yes? What's??"

Leana blinked her eyes. His mind was still digesting the words thrown out by Newt.

He did not believe it could not be separated from the mind of the owner of the magic tower all this time.

Lumine who noticed Leana's reaction noticed something and clapped her hands once.

"Truely, won't the testing labyrinth be raised any minute? How about you prepare a protection or lucky talisman for the Marquis?"

Both of them looked at Lumine.

"A fetish?"

Digging into his memories, Forde already had enough protection magic from his coat and his own true weapon was already spiked by his unique magic of choice.

A talisman is indeed a good thing to give to her husband, but she still does not know what strength she wants to give to her husband.

Leana had always hoped that Forde would be able to return safely intact, so did she need to add protection for him?

"Attempts are a good idea. I can give you the magic that you want."

Leana stopped her thoughts and looked at Newt in surprise.

The owner of the magic tower himself will anoint his talisman?!

Instantly his feelings became heavy.

"That's... I really appreciate it..."

Newt notices Leana acting strangely. "Hm... Is there something you're still confused about?"

Leana nodded slowly.

"really. Although my main hope is his safety, I also want to give something unique and best for him."

"Unique and interesting, hm. Likewhat?" newt said, thinking with him.

"Like..."

In retrospect, didn't Leana already prepare various types of magic devices at Alphiella?

He has written various forms of tools needed to Alscan which he immediately prepared.

Tools to help them win the big war later.

Leana went back to thinking hard, leaving Newt and Lumine still waiting for her answer.

The views of the two met for a moment, forming a wordless communication and agreement.

"Marchioness, excuse me for a moment."

"uh?"

Newt gets up from his place and grabs Leana's communication earrings. Instantly several magic circles formed nearby. More precisely in front of the earrings.

Leana froze in place, not daring to move. Letting Newt research the magic tool he used.

"Telepathic magic, huh? How innovative. Unfortunately I can make it even better" he said in a slightly condescending tone.

The magic circle rotated and increased its light for a while before it finally dimmed and disappeared.

After being satisfied with the results he made, Newt said.

"I know that Alscan is a unique person. Even though he is talented but his magic is still not how."

If comparing Newt to Alscan, of course their strength would feel like heaven and earth.

Even so Leana knows that compared to perfection, Alscan is more about the possibility of new ideas.

That's why Leana was a little upset when Newt made a comment about Alscan.

As he wanted to reply to her words, Newt opened his mouth faster.

"What if we meet at a later time to discuss this? I can visit your residence if you give me an invitation. Anyway I need to meet with Alscan who hasn't given a report for the past two months."

Leana frowned considering the residence where Alscan was located was Alphiella and she had not planned to open it to outsiders.

"How about we talk about it at your place?"

Newt raised his eyebrows. "At the magic tower? Why?"

"In addition to giving you an advantage if something happens, I also feel your residence will be more suitable to avoid outside attention."

Leana shifted her gaze a little. Falsifying a cough to cover up the full reason for the lie that came out of his mouth smoothly.

Everything he said was not entirely a lie. It really mingles a way not to attract attention by making their meetings toward business rather than personal.

"alright. If you don't have a problem, I'll send you an invitation. And please take Alscan with you." Newt uses a heavy tone at the end of his sentence.

Leana can only nod and pray for Alscan's inner salvation later.

After a few minutes of chatting, with Lumine finally opening the topic with them, their meeting ended.

Newt removes traces of their meeting and changes the interior of the place back to its current state.

Lumine pulled Newt's robe before the two parted ways.

"Sir Newt, about the paladin outside..."

"No problem, I'll manipulate their memories."

Newt patted Lumine's shoulder once to convince her. Then his gaze turned to the ceiling.

He closed his eyes as if trying to feel something. Ensure something.

"Hmm, there seems to be something else besides paladins outside."

"Ah, that's my subordinate."

Leana answered him immediately to avoid any misunderstanding. He also added.

"You don't have to bother erasing their memories because they are required to know my activities."

"How can I trust you?"

"Their "existence was kept secret even by the Emperor. I think knowing their whereabouts is enough."

"They're what? I can sense foreign magic."

"I can't open it here. I'll explain it at our second meeting, in a safer place if you don't mind."

"Hm... All right, no problem."

Newt swung his hand slowly in the air.

"Everything is done. The paladin consciousness will return when you come out to the festival area. They won't remember your visit here."

"Thank you brother." Lumine gave him a smile and Newt replied.

"Take care of yourself." Newt turned to Leana. "See you at our next meeting, Marchioness. I really enjoyed our meeting."

With the end of his words, Newt disappeared along with his magic.

Along with the light dimming with the loss of Newt's magic, Lumine and Leana walked out of the place.
