The New Light Festival
The festival day arrived. The annual event called the Festival of New Rays was held as a form of gratitude to the Marquis Grandall who became their protector.
The city of Adreandel will be decorated with decorative lights and filled with many outlets along the streets. In addition there will be performances, dance performances, fireworks, and much more.
Everyone is excited for the festival.
On a day that will be filled with fun, Forde and Leana work on documents in the workspace as usual.
Amidst their silence, Forde opened his voice.
“Leana, how about we go to the festival together?”
“Eh, is it okay?!” Leana answered with pleasure.
For the first time Forde invited Leana to go to the festival together. Leana was so happy that she could not hide
his happiness.
Forde smiled and walked over to the sofa where Leana worked. He took Leana's hand and looked straight into her eyes.
“How about you start getting ready? We're leaving tonight. I heard there will be fireworks today.”
Leana was stupefied and pulled a bit of her body because of Forde's very close face.
When he opened his mouth, he remembered the documents on his desk.
“You don't have to worry about these documents. We just enjoy today together, how?”
Leana immediately nodded happily and got up from her place.
“Then I will get ready soon!” leana left the workspace.
Forde smiled and tidied up the documents on her desk before preparing.

When the sky turned dark, Leana and Forde who were wearing robes immediately went towards the festival.
Desiring alone time, Forde rests Iscan and Hardie, who are Leana's personal knights. Now the two knights were running their rations to patrol the city at night.
On the day of the festival Grandall troops are allowed to take turns taking part to enjoy the festival. Many of them want to take rations at night because of the fireworks.
Leana still remembered how she accidentally saw Grandall's troops eagerly taking their rations from inside the box at random. He could not stop smiling at the reactions of those who did not get the rations as desired.
Like festivals in general, the city is so crowded that not infrequently Leana is almost pressed when walking down the street.
Forde immediately took Leana's hand and brought the two closer together.
“Don't be too far from me. It's pretty solid here. I don't want to lose you so hold my hand.” Forde said seriously.
Leana could only nod while holding her smile. He was still unable to get used to Forde being able to say such embarrassing things with a flat face.
After walking for a while, they were finally able to reach the heart area of Adreandel city. There are many performances on display as well as food and beverage outlets.
Leana was happy to be able to attend the festival in person.
In his first life, he never had the opportunity to enjoy the festival in the city directly and in the modern world even the big festival is very rare.
With his hands intertwined, both tried various snacks and games available there. I don't know how many times she was amazed by the skill of her husband who could finish the game perfectly.

With many things in their hands, the two of them went to a slightly quieter area of the city park. Although it is a little dark from the festival area, now Leana can finally enjoy her food calmly while watching the festivities of the festival from there.
Both of them fell silent to enjoy their food while looking at the festivities of the festival.
Leana who was focused on eating was unaware of her husband who kept watching her in silence as if enjoying her reaction.
Forde noticed the crumb on Leana's lips and stretched out her hand.
“Leana, there are crumbs near your lips.”
Forde grabbed Leana's face and took the crumbs and ate them with a calm face. Leana was stunned looking at Forde with her mouth open.
As Forde's eyes returned to him, he slightly smiled. No, grinning?

Forde propped up Leana's hand holding the food and pushed her closer.
“Come continue your meal.” Forde.
“I can't eat it all! If I get fat how?!” exclaims annoyed Leana.
“No need to worry, I will help you eat.”

Leana put on a bitter face to Forde and went back to devouring her snacks. Forde was satisfied and looked back at the festivity of the festival.
He could see people cheering and some dancing. Leana looked at Forde curiously. She also thought of the idea of judging her husband.
“Isn't the dance beautiful?”
Forde looked at Leana in confusion.
“Uh, yes?”
“It looks like your eyes are glued to them.” said Leana nosily. Forde instantly realized the hidden intent of the question and smiled.
“Are you jealous?” ask Forde with prank.
‘Hah? I'm jealous?’ Leana's stunned.
Leana's brain realized that her husband was reviling her and she was not jealous of him. But before he could reply calmly, the shame had already come out and made his plan instantly crumble.
“Ti-no! I'm not jealous at all! I just said that the dance is beautiful!” leana tried to explain quickly.
He immediately finished off the remaining food and turned his attention. Forde did not stop seeing his wife's funny behavior, rather he could not take his eyes off her.

The two looked up at the sky and found that the fireworks had begun.
Forde again glanced at his stunned wife staring at the fireworks and did not realize her conscious husband was watching her. She also grabbed Leana's chin.
“Forde, look! Fireworks—”
When Leana turned towards Forde all she could was a sense of warmth.
With her eyes widened, her purple pupils met directly to the jade eyes of Forde who was slowly forming a scythe. After a few seconds, she realized that Forde had kissed her right on her lips.
As their lips separated, the two stared at each other.
“Ford..”.
“Leana, I'll be a little upset because you didn't give me any attention.”
Forde touched Leana's cheek and stroked it with her thumb. As Leana tried to retreat, Forde had already caught her body.
“And just so you know, I have no interest in any woman other than you. So you don't have to worry.” Forde said seriously.
Forde brought her face closer and Leana began to panic.
“Wait, Forde! It's outside—”

The two immediately looked at the arrival of the voice. This time a loud noise was heard not because of fireworks but a large explosion that occurred in an area not far from them.
Looking at the thick smoke that had sprung up and the hysterical screaming sounds of people running away from the place, Leana turned pale.
“Sial! If I knew it would be this way, I should have let Iscan and Hardie by your side,” Forde immediately rise from its place.
“Leana, I will send knights to you soon to take you home. So until they arrive, stay here. Here it should be pretty safe.” Added.
“I understand.” Leana nodded and Forde immediately went to see the situation. He could also see some knights running towards the scene.
Leana examined the surroundings and noticed a light twinkling from an alley.
Leana realizes that the light is a code created by Alphiella's shadow and she immediately goes there.
He will apologize to Forde later for not following his words, but at this time he has priorities that must be implemented immediately.
