“Ah!”

When Leana entered the study, there Forde was sitting holding documents in both hands.

The two stared at each other awkwardly and then Leana slowly backed away shutting the door.

“A-I habit of going here. I'll be leaving soon, sorry to interrupt.”

Before being able to speak, Leana had already closed the door and left Forde still frozen.

Shortly thereafter Albert emerged from the door looking at Forde and Leana in turn.

“Master, are you okay? I just saw Madam go..”

“…”

Forde put on an irritated face and placed the documents in his hands. He squinted his temple as if he was exhausted. Seeing his mistress not answering, Albert asked again.

“Is there something between the master and the mistress?”

“Haaa. Is there something, Albert?”

“Ah, yes. There is something I need to report to you about an issue, but I was asked to bring some documents to the mistress to the library so I will be permission to go for a while.”

“So yes... I understand.”

Silence welcomed the room. Albert awkwardly went to the desk next to the desk and picked up some documents.

“I'll be back soon.”

As Albert left the room, Forde sighed again and turned his chair towards the window behind him.

Since their important conversation, he felt Leana was away from him. Although their relationship is not very close, Forde does not want to imagine Leana hating him for something he does.

He tried to roll back his memory and look for the mistakes he made but he could not find them.

‘What should I do?’

While continuing her work, Forde could not stop thinking about Leana's attitude behind her head.

“Alscan graduated as a witch from the higher-ups exam this year with the second best score and soon after she received a job offer as a private witch for mistress Grandall (in Alphiella).”

Two weeks had passed since his conversation with Forde. His plans for a deal and contract failed miserably but he succeeded in gaining ownership of Alphiella. His (outside) plan to build Alphiella also received a positive response from him.

But her husband did not allow her to go out freely to Alphiella so now Adde, by force, came to bring him a report directly to the Grandall residence.

The day after her conversation with Forde was the day that Leana sent Alscan a job offer letter and immediately Leana sent someone to bring Adde a letter to inform them of their current situation.

Three days later Leana received a written report from Adde stating that Alscan arrived at Alphiella on the same day and was immediately given the task sheet Leana had prepared.

He can imagine how shocked Alscan is but he can also imagine how Alscan will be excited when he sees the task of giving it.

In addition, Leana gave her first letter a top priority: a teleportation magic tool she would use to transfer from Grandall to Alphiella.

Leana always gives ‘soon’ deadlines to all Alscan tasks but she will not push for the completion of the tool unless it is urgently needed.

Then one week later Leana picked up Adde at Alphiella to report directly to Leana.

Three days later Adde arrived at Grandall with a smile that covered the aura of his annoyance to Leana behind him.

Now they are in the grand library of the Grandall residence and Adde is reporting the needs and events that occurred in Alphiella.

“I have already explained the ratio of food supply to Alscan so he should be able to take care of himself even though I live alone for a week.”

Is correct. Alphiella has Adde and Alscan.

“Along with your departure later, I will send some workers to repair the mansion. Make sure you monitor them closely so that they do the work on the room that has been marked.”

“If there is a room that will be associated with an unmarked room, please suspend the room and divert it to another place. Alscan who will fix the room with magic.” Added Leana.

‘Didn't it be better from the start if Alscan alone fixed the entire mansion?’ it was what came to Adde's mind, but his question was swallowed after thinking about the possibility that his employer deliberately used a common way to cover up the history of activities and movements in Alphiella.

“I understand mistress.”

Adde retrieved the documents Leana provided and checked the contents again.

“What's up?”

“Is it okay if I run the task after Alscan finishes installing safety magic around the mansion?”

Since Alphiella did not have any knights to guard the mansion, Alscan suggested coating the entire area of the mansion with protection magic.

“When will the installation be completed?”

“Alscan says the installation will take one week and he will start it tomorrow.”

“I understand. Seems like no problem.”

“Thank you madam.”

Adde tidied up the documents in his hands as well as Leana.

Leana stared at the library door where Iscan was standing next to her.

When their eyes met, Iscan walked over to him.

“Is there anything I can help you with, mistress?”

“How's Hardie doing?”

Two weeks ago when she raised the names Iscan and Hardie, the discussion about her recommendation was cut short by the topic of the slavery incident so Leana did not know how Hardie was doing afterwards.

“I heard Hardie will take the test to get into the core team which will be held in three months from now.”

“Three months? Isn't that long enough?”

“We as new members still have to follow a few weeks of practice before we can be fully recognized as part of Grandall. Different from Hardie who will fight outside where the danger is much greater, my current position is still relatively safe even though it is still not fully recognized.”

There seems to be something like that here. Leana did not expect that there was the training and recognition needed to be part of the knight army.

“Do not misunderstand madam, from the beginning this activity is needed completely for the safety of each person in the future.”

Iscan's explanation has a point. Without special training, a person can become a victim. Grandall itself is an army that is often assigned out because of its territory which covers the border area near the cliff.

“I understand. I hope this task does not interfere with your training as well.”

“Just calm madam. I got a new regulation customized for my current task.”

Leana nodded at Iscan's explanation. Not long Iscan added.

“Dan, mistress..”

“Hmm, what's up?”

“I also heard the news that two months from now the imperial family will throw a party to celebrate the success of the labyrinth conquest in the palace. Are you going to attend?”

Leana blinked a few times then held her head.

Also true. In her first life Leana did not go out to attend any party. She kept herself locked up in her room and gave everything to her husband, Forde.

Actually one of the reasons why he did not want to leave was because he was afraid of the rumors and lips that would appear with his appearance for the first time other than his debut party.

Now he does not think too much about people talking about him but will Forde allow him to follow the important party?

“On the party... I have not heard of it from Forde. If he allows it maybe I will join him.” Iscan looked at Leana in confusion.

“Didn't it usually the mistress and master go together to such an important party?”

Iscan's words slightly pierced his heart.

Adde knew about Leana's history of confinement so he only snorted indifferently but Iscan who was a new member of Grandall only knew the rumors that were circulating so he did not really understand the meaning of the words Leana.

“Which for sure if the final decision later we will go together, I will tell you.”

“I understand, mistress.”

At present Iscan still only knows Leana's plan on the water without knowing the contents even so he trusts Leana without questioning many things.

Someone who once looked at him cynically now serves him sincerely and faithfully. Will they not look at Leana as they once looked at her?

Leana won't know until she meets them.
