This Time, To The Believed Path

This Time, To The Believed Path
Reviewings

Leana sighed while Adde prepared tea and cake.

His hand holding the pen stopped and the pile of documents on his desk did not decrease.

“Mistress, what are you thinking now until your face becomes tangled like that?”

Leana looked at Adde who was acting indifferent. He did not think how Adde could be sarcastic to him. Whereas when the Grand Duke was his contractor, he did not behave like that.

“Is this about mr Forde?”

Adde did not miss Leana's flinched reaction after hearing her words. Looks like the guess is right.

“It looks like this is indeed about mr. Forde.” Adde.

“Not! I mean there was one of them, but now it's not that one!” Exclaimed Leana with a slightly flushed face. Adde looked at him suspiciously.

“Your face and words are out of sync, madam. How about you just take it out?” adde said, fishing Leana.

Knowing Adde's hidden amksud, he put on an upset smile at him.

“Adde, are you bored? Job shortage?” Leana looked at him spookily.

“I'm sorry, madam.” Adde quickly stopped and continued his activities.

Leana looked back at the documents before her but her mind was elsewhere.

Frustrated with his unmoving tank, he put away the document and ate the cake that Adde had prepared.

After the events at the palace, the celebration party on that day was immediately stopped. Leana and Forde return to Grandall but Forde must return to the palace and leave Leana with Iscan and Hardie.

The next morning, Leana teleports to Alphiella and welcomes the Marquis. He knew that the Marquis was not an ordinary royal personnel but he did not expect to reveal a different side of him.

The two did not open the cards to each other, but neither Leana nor the Marquis had known the outline of what was behind each other's masks.

Although awkward, the two ended their meeting calmly.

Unfortunately, the lost Marquis Giovanne returned on horseback to the palace and diplomatic relations between the Solfilyan Empire and the Rozen Kingdom were saved.

As Forde will stay in the palace until the last day of the celebration party, Leana can freely go to Alphiella without suspicion.

Of course Leana will return to Grandall at breakfast, noon, and night to cover her departure. His condition that confined himself in the room was not an oddity for the residents of Grandall so he was a little relieved despite feeling the pain in his heart.

In Alphellia he resumed his work to take care of the territory but something disturbed his mind until he did not finish the stacked documents. Adde who sighed.

“Mistress, if you can't focus, how about I submit a report that I should give tomorrow?”

Leana looked at Adde as if giving a signal as if saying that he was a genius.

“Please.” Leana.

“First about phase two mission. The perpetrator who committed the kidnapping was Osca. As Veil secures the target to Alphiella, it reports no oddities during the trip as well as their target.”

“I, Liam, Eson, Ilya, and Solas against Osca. The only one facing him head-on was me and the others helping from behind the shadows. Then—”

As Leana raised her hand, Adde stopped his report. The master looked at him with a frown on his forehead.

“Adde, you are aware that Osca is a stronger shadow than you, ‘not?”

Adde started to look at Leana unhappily.

“Mistress, it insults our dignity as a shadow.”

“Not it! Osca is a professional shadow who has a much higher power than us, one look I know! But you, you guys, fight it—”

“Mistress, I will not fight in a fight that I cannot win. Of course if I fight Osca alone, I won't win. But it is different if others help me.” Adde was calm.

Leana's surprised.

“You mean, Alphiella shadow members are strong enough to fight Osca?”

“If not so then from the beginning we will never succeed. If you come to the training ground and see their abilities, you will also definitely agree.”

Both of them were silent as if trying to take their breath.

In her first life, it took Leana a year to truly become a worthy shadow. Unlike the shadow of Alphiella, now who recklessly take on dangerous missions when their training alone has not reached half a year.

Leana admits that Adde is a genius, but can he really cast the Alphiella shadow cast in just two months?

What training did Adde actually do to them?

“Mrs. You who said yourself will believe and leave everything to us.”

“Be, right. But I was just thinking of saving our target without having to fight back

Osca.”

Lean believes in the shadowy members of Alphiella, as they are Rein's talented peers. But he could not stop worrying about those who still had not unleashed all of his potential.

“Mistress, you said so because you know her abilities. But what happens if it turns out to be another shadow? Would you still say that?”

“Of course! Your safety is the most important.”

“You start bouncing, mistress.” Adde shook his head.

Leana closed her eyes and twitched her temple.

“Mistress, you risked everything to the Alphiella shadow organization. We who you save follow you are not only saved. We are just trying to trust your way.” Adde.

Leana frowned at Adde. His expression looked sad as if making the wrong decision.

“What do you regret now? Isn't this what you wanted? Success in your big plan in order to live a better life?” adde.

Is correct. Leana makes a shadowy organization because she wants to live quietly. But at the same time he felt guilty for using others for his plans.

“Again, aren't we actually just like you?”

“What does that mean?” leana asked confusedly.

“Hah?! What did you say!?”

Leana tries to grab Adde but he has already walked backwards to avoid his employer's capture.

“Remember, mistress. Rice has become a porridge. Whatever happens, we can only live it by holding the correct thread.”

Leana clenched her mouth and lowered her head. A moment later he looked back at Adde with his usual gaze.

“I understand. Report on the second phase of the mission I will check later.”

“I understand.”

Adde cleared the report on the second phase of the mission and kept it in addition to the documents that had been completed.

“The second, about our next big mission.”

Their next mission was to make a connection with the shadow organization Grand Duke Volfelance.

Due to their high loyalty, the shadow members of the Grand Duke were inseparable from their contractors. Leana had no other way but to include the Grand Duke himself into her plan.

If this plan succeeds, he may ask William to perfect Adde as a shadow.

Basically exchanging knowledge about techniques and abilities between different shadow organizations is not allowed but his ability as a shadow is what Illiam taught him.

Hence, he had to give a portion of his knowledge to the Grand Duke. Here he not only wanted to make Grand Duke's relationship but also to take back his trust in Leana.

Although they were now on different footings, they all started from the footing of the Grand Duke.

Now Leana can only pray, for the umpteenth time, for her plan to run smoothly as before.

“You've already notified the next plan to another shadow member, haven't you?”

“I've done it, mistress.”

“Good work.” Leana nodded. “Starting today you are required to use a mask made by Alscan every mission. Even though your faces have been altered in such a way, I don't want your disguise identity revealed as well.”

“I understand.”

Adde then put the documents in his hand and took the new documents he handed Leana.

“This is information about the symbols listed in the slavery organization and the members involved.”

The symbol is a circle and a triangle that hit it as if taking ¼ parts of the circle.

A symbol that looked childish and very familiar in his eyes. The underground organization belongs to Duke Leon Gwertivare.

“Duke Leon Gwertivare's. He is the one who has a high possibility as the mastermind of the organization.” Obviously Adde with cold.

Leana stared at the document carefully and then looked back at Adde.

“Adde. You know very well what I want to do.”

“Alphiella there just for you, mistress.”

Adde walked beside Leana and knelt down. He placed his right hand on his left chest and his gaze straight at Leana's purple eyes.

“With my oath and promise. I will bring success in your plan.”

Leana smiled and gently touched Adde's shoulder.

“As usual, Adde. I put my trust in you guys.”

“What does it mean our mission failed?”

Duke Leon stared angrily at the shadow before him. The shadow only gulped before finally opening its mouth again.

“I'm sorry my lord. But we did not manage to get the target, even Osca also disappeared.” Evidently.

“Then immediately find them! Are your vows and promises mere words!?”

“…”

The shadow closed his eyes accepting the curse of his master. He also did not expect that his talented partner would fail in his mission.

Duke Leon threw himself into his chair violently and looked back at the shadow.

“Who did it?”

“We suspect the culprit is a shadow member belonging to Grand Duke Volfelance.”.

“SIALAN!”

PRANGH!!

Duke Leon threw an ink bottle at the shadow but missed the side and smashed the door to pieces.

“Haaa.. again that jerk... blocking every way...”.

Duke Leon bit his lower lip until it bled and his hand violently grasped his hair. For a while he took a breath to calm himself.

He was eager to hit and avenge the Grand Duke for his humiliation, but he still had to be careful. If he was careless then his plan would fail entirely.

“We have no choice. Immediately enter the next stage without delay! Failure will be paid with your lives!”

“Siap my lord!” and the shadow disappeared behind the shadow.

Leon looked at the night sky in frustration.

He could not let everyone continue to demean him like this. He will prove that he will be higher until they cannot rise again.

He swore he would do it.
