Both of them stayed away from the festival crowd. They walked towards the alley that had previously passed by Leana and
Amidst their journey, the paladins who had previously stood guard in the distance joined in following their second steps.
Walking deeper and deeper through the many twists of direction he did not know, he sometimes noticed the shadow of Alphiella following above him.
As long as there were no reports of danger from them, he did not have to worry about anything.
Not long after, they found a dead end.
At the end was a wooden door that looked neglected with a variety of dust and dry leaves around it.
Lumine turned to the paladins.
"You take care outside. We'll be fine."
The paladins stared at each other before nodding and putting their hands on the chest.
"We understand, Saintess. Be careful."
Both of them walked near the door.
Without hesitation, Lumine opened the wooden door and the two were greeted by darkness as well as dust flying through the air.
Lumine walked deeper while holding Leana's hand. The two stopped at the end of the room exactly where the light coming from their only entrance was.
In front of them was a small crate that looked like it was new in the absence of dust, different from the space surrounding them.
It was as if the box had just been placed there.
Lumine grabbed the coffin and, unexpectedly, her hand twisted the top of it and a magic circle appeared under their feet.
Their clothes and hair slightly floated in the air due to the concentration of magic mana around them. Even Leana's body felt so light that she thought that she could fly at that very moment.
Leana turned towards the door that was now closed. He had thought that the paladins would instantly move forward when both of them were above the magic circle, but it seemed that something had prevented the outsiders from understanding what was inside the room.
He thought of the possibility of magic like Impale Illusion.
But whatever the magic is, it, he believes the reconstruction to activate the magic required a high complexity formula that can only be used by the highest magician at the level of the magic tower representative council or the owner of the magic tower itself.
Slowly the room turned golden brighter.
Leana froze as a figure in a robe suddenly appeared before them.
The robes are dark like the night sky with stars dotting the galaxy. In front of his chest were several objects hanging, giving directions to anyone of his rank.
He recalled his figure with a robe sitting at the very end of the table during a large meeting. Opening his mouth hidden behind the shadow of his robe just to answer the necessary.
Not wrong anymore. The figure before him was the owner of the magic tower, Newt Poteire!
"Good day, Mr. Newt."
Newt just nodded slowly to Lumine then turned to Leana. He slowly opened the robe that covered his head .
Leana's surprised.
He imagined the owner of the magic tower was an old or middle-aged man, unlike the figure before him who looked the same age as him
But considering Newt was the owner of the magic tower, he thought of the possibility that his current appearance was thanks to magic and returned to his initial focus.
"We meet again, Marchioness Leana Grandall. The man who hired Alscan the witch with a unique interest."
Leana almost chokes when Alscan's name comes out of her mouth but she tries to keep smiling and then nods. His hands felt a little cold from nervousness.
"I didn't expect to meet the owner of the magic tower here."
Leana felt her tone slightly alert. But since he had expected it to be possible that important people would try to contact him, he had prepared himself for this very moment.
However the owner of the magic tower was the one he could not guess would try to contact him.
It is possible that his thoughts are influenced by the views and depictions of others to the owner of the magic tower.
This is proven because now the expectations and reality in front of each other contradict.
Leana turned to Lumine.
"Miss Lumine, did you bring me here..."
Newt cut his word.
"I was the one who asked Saintess Lumine to make time for me."
Leana slowly turned her gaze between Newt and Lumine. He felt a strange thing between the two. Enough to raise suspicion.
"No need to worry, I just want to talk to you and the magic labyrinth guards to discuss something. If you don't mind, it's an honor for me."
Leana was stunned by the end of the word from Newt. He turned to Lumine who gave him a nod.
"I can assure you, Miss Leana." He took the hands of the owner of the magic tower and brought their bodies closer to the familiar. "Newt is my brother!"
Leana blinked her eyes. 'What?'
Newt sighed.
"I think I introduced myself late. I am Newt Poteire, the owner of the current magic tower. I was also the elder sister of Saintess Lumine when we were in the orphanage."
Oh? This is new information he knows.
Newt's last sentence raises suspicions about his appearance. He again questioned whether his figure who looks young is because of magic or not.
Leana was also worried whether she could find out.
As if reading his thoughts, Lumine added.
"It's not commonly known, but almost everyone around us knows it."
Leana nodded. He looked back at Newt.
"I saw you at the party last night."
"really. I did come last night to meet you, but I abandoned that intention for another reason."
"Are you busy?"
"Ah, Brother Newt is just shy!" Newt gave a sharp look to Lumine who ignored him. He adds. "More we feel unable to get close while you were with the Marquis last night."
"Well..."
Leana recalled how her husband indirectly expelled Saintess last night. Even the unpleasant feeling re-spun in his mind.
But looking at the reaction from Lumine, it seemed like he didn't have to worry about it.
"Then, what do you want to talk about?"
Newt swung his hand in the air and a stream of wind was present before the three, bringing up a round table and chairs so that they could discuss comfortably.
After the wind subsided, the three sat down in turn.
Unbasically Newt directly refers to their topic.
"It's about the power possessed by the magic labyrinth."
Realizing the tip of the topic, Leana called out to Telsia without opening her mouth. Newt continued.
"Like how magic belongs to magicians and holy powers belong to saints are two different powers, I feel that the power possessed by magic mazes is in a different category as well."
Clataks. From the air, came tea cups and some dishes were now available on the table.
Leana subconsciously made a habit of staring at her reflection on the surface of the tea while thinking about something of deep importance.
He turned his eyes back to Newt with a serious expression.
"Do you suspect that the power of the magic labyrinth is the same power as the priest said at the first meeting?"
He hesitates but this is a good time for him to assess whether Newt is an enemy or a friend to him.
"I've encountered dark forces possessed by demons and monsters, so no. His strength is something different."
"Is that power not from the magic labyrinth?" His fishing rod.
As far as he knew, the world's enemies that brought disaster and bad news only came from the magic labyrinth.
What other bad thing besides the magic labyrinth that exists in this world?
"You're wrong. Dark power had existed long before the appearance of the magic labyrinth. The power created as a result of the misuse of both sacred power and pure magic. A power that asks for rewards and produces destruction for its surroundings."
Newt took out a transparent sphere with black smoke inside. Put it in the middle of a table that has been given space with magic.
Despite not touching her, Leana already felt an uneasy thing suddenly creep up on her body.
Lumine's hand grabbed Leana's body. From his palm appeared a golden light that was not too dazzling. Lifting something that tries to gnaw it.
"Oh my goodness, brother! Do not carelessly give that bad thing to someone else who has never met it!" lumine Protest.
Newt jerks. Now her expression turned worried as she saw clearly how Leana had turned a little pale.
He turned his finger near the ball and a transparent purplish box surrounded it, removing the bad aura it gave off.
Leana realized her condition was getting better.
"I'm sorry. I reckon you can overcome the aura of this power. I'm so sorry."
Once again, he was surprised by how polite the attitude of the owner of the magic tower was. Unlike how most stories depict the figure in front of him.
Leana calmed him down immediately.
"No problem. I was just a little surprised. Moreover, no one was injured so for this time let's just close our eyes."
Before Newt could continue, a voice sounded from beside Leana.
"You have an interesting thing, young man."
The magic circle was instantly created and gave rise to a magic mirror, bringing up the figure of Telsia within it.
"Magic labyrinth keeper, Telsia."
"It's nice to meet you, the owner of the magic tower, Newt Poteire."
Leana witnessed how these two almost equally important figures ended up meeting in person.
More precisely, he himself was amazed to be in the middle of three important people in this world, something that would never be experienced by people in general.
But one important thing, everything is connected thanks to the existence of Telsia.
Telsia's eyes were fixed on that transparent ball.
"I've been in this world for a long time, it doesn't mean that power doesn't exist, but I barely find it at all."
Leana was a little surprised as Telsia threw away her formality somewhere in front of Newt. And vice versa.
"This power is one that is stored for investigation in the magic tower. Its main roots had been exterminated decades ago but with the existence of dark forces still settling in this world, it seemed that not all of them could be annihilated."
"Non-seen does not mean there is none. What has appeared in the world will continue to unfold in different forms until it can be resurrected."
Leana did not miss the small twinkle that appeared in Newt's eyes.
"That's... Something I never thought of before. It seems that talking to you is the right choice."
"I'm glad you think so about me."
Leana alternately stared at Telsia and Newt who started talking in their own world, leaving the other two unable to understand them.
He turned to Lumine but he just showed him an expression of 'i don't understand. He decided to shut up and watch them.
"What do you think, Mr Telsia?"
"It's true what's inside that sphere is a dark force that has an aura almost the same as any other dark force in the other world."
Newt looked at the ball and again confirmed the truth that he should have known in him.
But he pushed himself to ask stupid questions in the eyes of this world.
"Do these forces have to be destroyed?"
Telsia looked back at the serious eyes asking for an answer from her question. He also gave what he expected.
"Sometimes evil forces can ward off other evils if used properly."
These short words provide many questions and also confirmations but not definite answers.
As if Telsia wants Newt to learn the various meanings contained in the sentence.
Newt gave her the widest smile that no one else had ever seen other than her sister.
He did not find the answer he wanted to hear but he was satisfied with what he got.
"I wish I could learn more from you." Her speech. His eyes flashed a dream he could not achieve.
Telsia. Give him a clear answer.
"I would also like to have more time to talk to you, but unfortunately it is unlikely that this will happen."
Newt jerks.
"You mean?"
"As I said before, my actions are limited and I have no will to my own benefit."
Telsia looked at Crocelia in her hand. The habit of stroking Croselia like a very valuable object.
"Is so. It's a pity" said Newt. Not extending their topic.
Newt drank the tea in front of him, feeling a hint of disappointment in his mind.
At first glance Leana realized how the puff of smoke did not stop from their cup.
"You're very wise for a little boy. Looks like your title isn't just a name."
"I am touched by your words."
Of course, for Telsia, who has lived for thousands of years in various parts of the world, Newt is just a child.
Leana alternately glanced at the two. Unable to understand the new topics they are raising.
"But you're still smaller than a kid. You're still a seedling who shouldn't have brought out anything. Unless you cheat something or a genius."
"I'm a genius" Newt said proudly.
"Is that so."
Telsia chuckled small. Small enough that no one can find out except Leana who has been with him for a long time. Watching for any changes that have never been shown before.
Leana looked at the two in confusion. I don't know when he should get in between the two.
"But it's true, I've done something cheating."
All eyes are on Newt. Even Lumine slightly lost her smile upon realizing what her brother wanted to say later.
"I am 23 years old but already have the title of owner of a magic tower that usually only old grandfathers aged 60 years and over."
Leana widened her eyes. Understand misunderstandings.
'Wait—So the appearance was not due to magic?!' it's in the heart.
"Before I awakened my magic power, before Lumine was chosen to be Saintess..." Newt's eyes stared deep into his past. "A letter... Or rather the pile of papers that make up the journal suddenly appeared before us."
Telsia said nothing and continued to listen. Leana suspects that she has found out everything about Newt Poteire through Crocelia.
But Newt continued, as if he wanted Leana to know this too.
"It was the journal that helped me achieve what I have now. 'Newt Poteire' at the moment."
