Chapter 23

Crys stared at a photo of her brother at work and occasionally toured the campus area and where she used to work. Today Ansell did not come to send her sister's photo directly to her, but told her man to give the photo to Rose and Rose gave it to Crys.

Mind Crys in a frenzy. Can't, he couldn't help himself anymore and just kept silent seeing his brother like this. Crys is afraid something will happen to her brother because he is looking for himself everywhere. Crys is afraid to think of the bad things that always come to her head.

Suddenly the door opened and a figure of Rose came in carrying her lunch. His life goes like this every day. Wake up, eat, sleep without doing anything.

Crys stared at the door that was still open. Chance came. Crys stared at the motion of Rose who was putting a tray on the nightstand. He calculated the exact time, then immediately moved quickly and ran out of the room.

"MISS." Rose was startled as she shouted and followed Crys who ran quickly out of the room.

Crys ignored Rose's echoing screams and ran down the hallway of the house that looked lonely. Crys occasionally looked back, where Rose was chasing her. Crys ran faster and faster, until his eyes suddenly caught the horde of guards from the front.

"Catch her!" said the guard.

Crys turned to the right and left to find a way, then turned down the stairs quickly. Crys' breath was hunting and her heart was racing. After descending, he immediately turned to the left and looked for the exit. From the left, right and behind, suddenly there were many guards and several servants who were chasing after him.

Crys ran so fast that his eyes started to sparkle when he saw a large door. "Finally." her mind was gleeful. Crys ran impatiently with a big smile, then pushed the door tight. He ran out, but then he hit the body of someone behind the door.

Crys body was pushed and immediately fell on the floor. "Aws." Ringis.

The sound of feet filled his ears. Crys turned her head back as the guards and servants chasing her stood behind her with breathless gasps.

"Sorry Sir." Crys looked at those who were looking down with scared faces. Crys frowns, then she turns to look at the person she hit.

His head lifted and looked at the figure of Kenzo who stood towering with his cold face. Kenzo's eyes stared fixedly at the eyes of Crys who was also staring at him. Crys gulped in a rough gulp as she looked at that cold, unfriendly expression.

"Keep one girl you're not sober" said Kenzo coldly still staring at Crys, then glared at the guards behind Crystal sharply.

"Who let him get away?" ask Kenzo.

They're speechless. "Sorry sir, I didn't close the door well" Rose said as she lowered her head.

"So you let him get away with it."

"Punish him with a hundred lashes, confinement one night and don't feed him!" kenzo said to his bodyguard. Crys' mouth was wide open hearing it.

Rose was startled and immediately knelt on the floor. "Thank you, sir, I made a mistake. Forgive me." said Rose begging for mercy with a face of fear.

Crys bit her lip and stared at Rose with a worried face. He looked towards Kenzo who was not touched at all.

"BRING HIM!" Crys flinched as Kenzo's scream sounding terrifying like lightning.

"Good sir." The bodyguards approached Rose and were about to drag her, but Crys immediately moved to cover Rose's body with his body.

"I ran away and made a mistake, shouldn't I be punished?" said Crys staring fixedly at Kenzo. Kenzo stared back at the girl who was now a pretentious hero of the misfortune flatly.

"Let me take his place." added Crys again after establishing his heart. How could he let them hurt Rose who always accompanied him and took care of him in this house.

"What by giving you punishment will you stop acting? Remember, every time you run away and make a mistake, those negligent people will pay for what you did. In other words, you're the one who caused them to suffer" Kenzo said staring at Crys attachedly with his slanted smile. Crys growled while clenching her hands.

"You Devil." cried out angrily. Kenzo was untouchable at all and glanced at his bodyguards to carry out their duties again.

Rose was crying loudly. Crys tries to encourage the bodyguards who are trying to take Rose. "Far away!" Crys rebelled angrily, biting the hand of one of the guards who had held Rose's hand. Crys held on with all her might as the bodyguards did not dare to touch Crys either.

Suddenly Crys' hand was pulled very tight, forcing her to rise to her feet. Turns out it was Kenzo's doing to keep her away from Rose.

"Hiks, help me Miss." Rose and Crys screams filled the house. Crys rebelled, but her power was completely helpless by Kenzo's power.

Crys eyes warmed up as she stared at Rose's body being carried further and further away. "STOP!" Crys screamed loudly while pushing Kenzo's body away from her.

Her tears dripped as her screams and actions bore no fruit at all. Crys turned around and looked at Kenzo with sharp eyes.

"Stop hurting innocent people! You should've punished me." he stared sharply at Kenzo. Kenzo is not at all wrinkled and Crys is losing hope.

Crys looked down while crying. "Please, let him go." he said, bowing down.

"I'll do whatever you want to get rid of him" he added completely in despair. Crystal's hand squeezed the collar of Kenzo's suit while crying with his head lowered.

"I beg you, hiks." The last remark that escaped from his mouth in a helpless tone.

Kenzo was still silent, then a few minutes later he started talking. "Tell them the sentence is canceled!" kenzo said to the other bodyguards. Crys flinched hearing it, then her heart began to be relieved and calm.

"Okay sir." said the bodyguard, then left from there.

Crys wiped her cheeks and tear-filled eyes, then stared at Kenzo who still had a cold face. Crys did not rebel when her hand was pulled tight and she stepped so quickly. Crys tried to walk in balance and finally they entered into a familiar room.

Crys' eyes rounded when she realized where they were. This is the room where Kenzo killed a woman in front of his eyes. Crys body shuddered and cold sweat instantly encompassed her body.

Will he be killed just like that woman?

Crys stared all over the room where there was a closet full of knife displays. There are also handcuff displays and tools that Crys doesn't know of usefulness.

Crys gulped as Kenzo took the handcuffs and pushed her body up onto the bed.

Kenzo handcuffed Crys' hands and feet with an X-shaped bedpost. The same shape when the woman was about to be killed. Will he eventually die?

"You've been locked up here for a few days so you can go back to your room" Kenzo said. Crys breathed a sigh of relief because at least he wasn't killed.

Crys said nothing and just silently listened to Kenzo. Kenzo stood still for a moment while staring at the clingy Crys, until finally his feet began to step out of the room.

Not yet there, Kenzo suddenly turned off the room lights. There was no lighting from anywhere, not even the windows of the rooms. Crys flinched when her eyes did not get any light. Crys looked to the only light source where the door was still open and Kenzo's figure was standing there.

"Hhh, don't turn off the lights!" cries panicked as he looked at Kenzo with a pleading gaze. Kenzo fell silent at the door, then slowly closed the door that became the room's last light source.

"I beg you."

"DON'T!" Crys screams as the door closes and the room is pitch black. His eyes could not catch anything.

Crys rebelled and slowly her breathing began to disorganize. Crys can't see anything. His body began to tremble in fear. Stuffy. Crys can't breathe very well.

There's nothing he can do. No one will help him. His hands and lips were shaking violently. He closed his eyes tightly as a sobbing began to come out of his mouth

By closing his eyes, Crys can calm himself from this dark situation. Crys cries trying to hold herself back and overcome her fear.

"Hiks, I'm scared."
