Chapter 48's

Crystal sat on the living room couch staring at the television featuring cooking shows. Crystal heard many stories about Vania about her love story with her husband that was so fun.

Crystal even thinks how lucky Vania is to have a husband who loves her so much. Dissolved in his mind, he came to a realization when a voice was caught by his ears.

Crystal looked over when she heard the main door open. He saw Kenzo walking into the house with a woman beside him.

Crystal frowned at the woman's familiar face, but she could not remember when and where she saw the woman.

"You haven't slept?" Crys flinches from her daydream and realizes that Kenzo and the woman are already in front of her.

"A. I'm not sleepy yet." Crys replied slightly stammering.

The girl glanced at the woman beside Kenzo who was also looking at her with a faint smile.

"Hi, I'm Nathalie." greet the woman as she extends her hand.

"Crystal." replies Crys while shaking the woman's hand.

"I'll take you to your room" Kenzo said as he looked at Nath softly, while Crys remained silent doing nothing and could only see the two humans walking through him.

Nath throws a farewell smile at Crys and Crys can only reply with an awkward smile.

After they leave, Crys realizes that the incident was a reality and not a dream or an illusion. A Kenzo is being very gentle with a woman.

Is this the end of the world?

Crystal sat on the dining table chair very awkwardly while glancing at Kenzo and the woman named Nathalie alternately.

They both look very familiar like lovers and Crystal looks like an actor between their relationships.

Crystal didn't like being in this kind of atmosphere, between the two of them.

"Can I come with you to your office?" tanya Crys spoke up.

"Why?"

"I want to meet Karina, I'm tired of being here alone."

"There I am, we can talk together." Nath smiled gently as he looked at Crystal with sparkling eyes.

"True, you better go with Nath here, he doesn't have a conversation partner."

Crystal looked at Kenzo with a disappointed look. The man never even thought that these few days he was living like a dead man. But the man was very thoughtful and concerned about the woman named Nathalie.

Crystal did not reply and continued her breakfast in silence, while the two people before her were seen enjoying their breakfast with warmth.

Two different sides, on the same table. How pitiful the figure of Crystal is right now.

After Kenzo goes to work, Nath eagerly takes Crystal to his room. The room that the girl never went in and saw.

Crystal was flabbergasted when she realized the room was in this Mansion.

Crystal went through every corner of the room and found many of the woman's picture frames with Kenzo. In the photo, they look young.

"Me and Kenzo used to be lovers" Nath said as he sat on his bed.

"I used to live in this room."

"Worthy." Inner Crys while looking at the entire corner of the room that looks like it has been lived by someone.

"Let's sit down, I'll tell you about our relationship first." take Nath while patting his bed with a familiar smile.

Still with an awkward gesture, Crystal sat opposite Nath.

"I met Kenzo when I was 16 and he was 17. That night I walked home from my best friend's house and passed by a deserted alley. I saw Kenzo covered in blood and hiding in the alley. That was the first time I met him."

"He was very cold and horrible. Of course at that time I tried to escape, but I could not just leave it with such circumstances. I finally treated him and he hid in my room."

"Aren't you afraid he's gonna kill you?"

"Of course I'm scared. I didn't even sleep all night" Nath said with an amused chuckle.

"Then?"

"After that Kenzo disappeared for a few days and we finally met again in the same alley. Again he looked dying and I went back to treating him. After that day, Kenzo came to see me several times by breaking through my bedroom window. Until he finally expressed his feelings and we dated. Two years later, I decided to disappear from her."

"Why?" asked Crys with a frown.

"I'm leaving because I've done something that makes me feel guilty every time I see it."

Nath smiled faintly with a sad look. Crystal gulped her saliva not knowing what to do. He is not accustomed to comforting others with words or deeds.

"Forget it!" nath said shaking his head while smiling widely.

"Are you Kenzo's girlfriend?"

Crystal flinched in shock with round eyes. He hurriedly shook his head quickly with the movements of his hands that were aligned with his head.

"Of course not."

"Then?"

"I'm Kenzo's distant cousin" Crystal said nervously.

"Oh, really?"

"Yes of course. I'm his cousin and stay here for a few days" Crys said awkwardly.

"Kenzo used to say he didn't have anyone in the world" Nath said confusedly.

Crys' face paled. "Haha, you know he's anti-social" she said, laughing so awkwardly.

Nath nodded in understanding. The woman stood up, while tidying up her slightly scuffed dress.

"Let's stop talking about Kenzo, how about we talk about something more fun?" nath said excitedly while Crys only nodded resignedly while wasting a sigh of relief.

On the other side.

Kenzo looked at Davin who was sitting in front of him with a serious face.

"I see you've lost your way lately" Davin said.

Kenzo raised his lips up. "Are you worried about me Mr Davin?"

"You don't have to be formal, I've said that before, right? Besides you're no longer my subordinate, you already have your own company."

"Then what made you come here?" ask Kenzo no pleasantries.

"My wife met the girl you sealed in your house."

Kenzo smiled in anguish. "Your wife is as disrespectful as you are" Kenzo said.

"Of course, she's my wife, no one can stop her."

"Then will your wife interfere in my affairs with that girl?" asked Kenzo with a sharp look.

"He told me to find out the truth that you killed his parents" Davin said as sharply and visibly undaunted by Kenzo's threatening tone.

"Then good luck getting to the truth."

"You think I'm gonna waste my time on that?" said Davin changed the look of his face with a look of indifference while leaning his back to the sofa.

The young man threw his breath away. "But my wife isn't that easy to stop."

Kenzo leaned on his back while grabbing his cigarette on the table.

"Don't smoke! I don't want your cigarette smoke stuck in my body! Vania would be upset if she found out."

Kenzo smiled in anguish. The man in front of him loved his wife even with his whole life. He would do anything to make his wife happy.

Kenzopun abandoned his intention to smoke. "Where is Ansell? Lately he has rarely met me and come to my Mansion" Kenzo said.

Davin laughed a little. "He's 'hunting' in Berlin."

"Lucas?"

"As usual, fight Ansell to get that 'hunt' first."

"They never stopped competing" Kenzo said.

Davin straightened his body and looked at Kenzo.

"I heard you found the woman" said Davin and Kenzo knew who the man was talking about.

"Yes." Yeah."

"Where is he now?"

"In my Mansion."

"Together with the girl?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Then what are you gonna do?"

"Find out the truth." replied Kenzo flatly as he floated his mind to all the possibilities he had been compiling all along.

Kenzo was now staring at Davin with his cold, flat face. "I want to ask for your help."

"Say!" Davin.

"Help me find Allaric Alterio. She disappeared a few days ago, most likely she had been kidnapped."

"I'll help you. Then, who's the mastermind you have in mind?"

"Desmond Archer Killian."
