Chapter 39's

"Who's Damian?"

Crystal's eyes stared at the cold look of the man in front of her with a look of wonder. The girl's eyes seemed to pierce deeper into the cold eyes of the man before her. Crystal's forehead shriveled, but after that the girl's eyes were wide and her mouth was open in shock.

"Kenzo?"

Crystal looked at the man in front of her with a completely shocked look. He even dropped the spoon he was holding.

The man did not open his mouth and only fell silent at Crystal's shocked reaction.

"You're back, how can you?" crystal asked in astonishment as he looked intently at the man and put on his curious face.

Kenzo looks to avert his eyes and eats his breakfast back with a flat face. The man's expression meant that he did not want to talk about it to Crystal.

Seeing Kenzo's unfriendly body movements, Crystal immediately snorted because the question was not responded to at all by the man. Just yesterday the man spoke a lot, now he is back to silence like a mute man. Dealing with a person who has an alter ego makes Crystal realize how difficult it is to deal with the person.

"Damian was my personal bodyguard appointed by Levin after the incident at the hotel at the time" Crystal said, then casually ate his breakfast back.

"I won't tell anyone." Crsytal said as he glanced at Kenzo who was still silent.

The man raised his head when he heard this, then stared fixedly at Crystal. Crsytal who was stared at like that even scratched his nape that did not itch. "I mean, I'm not going to tell anyone about your signature personality" Crystal said.

Crystal was speechless with a mind filled with complexity. Kenzo doesn't remember anything about being taken over by Levin, but Levin knows what Kenzo did with his own body. In that case, it looks like Levin is stronger than Kenzo, but what reason would Kenzo wake up to?

The question filled Crystal's head, making her dizzy seven roving. Finally he shook his head and tried not to think about it any deeper.

The cold breakfast was finally finished. For some reason the breakfast lasted so long if the atmosphere was quiet like that. There is no conversation between the two opposite types of people and there is only the clinking of plates and spoons clashing.

After breakfast, Crystal went straight to her room and prepared to come to the office with Kenzo. It didn't take long for the girl to get ready. Crystal who was finished with the simple dress came out of the room while wrapping a sling bag on her shoulder.

As the door of his room opened, Crystal was surprised to see Damian in front of his door. The girl stroked her almost dislodged heart, then looked at Damian with a questioning face.

"Since yesterday I haven't seen you" Crystal said as she continued. Damian walked behind the girl with his flat face.

"Where are you?" ask Crystal.

"I am carrying out Mr. Duanovic's orders." Damian replied briefly, concisely and clearly.

Crystal also understood. He walked down the stairs one by one and stepped towards the entrance.

Crystal came out of the Mansion's large door and into a car whose door had been opened by bodyguards there. Crystal looked at the silent Kenzo not opening her voice beside him.

"Have you met Damian?" ask Crystal to open her voice.

"No." she answered briefly.

Crystal put on an astonished and confused face, then glanced out the windshield where she found Damian walking towards the car behind them. "Did you remember that we were almost killed yesterday?" tanya Crystal suddenly turned her head back towards Kenzo.

Kenzo turned to Crystal with a flat face, but Crystal could tell that the man did not know. "Calm down, I think Levin's taken care of it." added the girl again. 

"When Levin took over your body, you couldn't remember anything he did with yours. When you came back, did Levin fall asleep too and not realize anything?" ask Crystal curiously.

"Don't ask about her! You will only make it stronger." said Kenzo coldly in a displeased tone.

Hearing the man's loud speech made Crystal instantly speechless and decided not to ask any more about herself and her alter ego.

Crystal sits on top of Kenzo's couch with the man busy in front of his laptop. Arriving at the office, the two of them did not open their mouths and were only busy with their respective affairs.

On the other hand, Crystal is also still upset because Kenzo is very annoying after he wakes up from a long sleep.

The door of the room suddenly opened and showed the figure of Karina who entered with her beautiful appearance that never disappointed the eyes.

Karina threw a smile and a short wave at Crystal when she saw him. Crystal smiled sweetly as she waved her hand.

"Mrs. Duanovic, at 10 you have a meeting schedule" said Karina read out the man's schedule.

Kenzo is seen glancing at the clock on his wrist with a sharp look. "Prepare the meeting room and the file!" kenzo said after that.

Crystal was seen biting her lips in doubt as she stared at Kenzo with a worried look. Karina had already walked out of the room and left only Crystal with the cold man who was still focused on her work.

Crystal slowly rose to her feet after steadying her heart. "I went out to see Karina." said Crystal briefly densely and clearly in a slightly taut tone, then left there at a quick pace and in a hurry.

Crystal opened the door of the large room with an indifferent face, then closed the door, then held her chest that was pounding very hard out of fear. He leaned his body before the closed door while taking a breath and calming himself.

He thought the man would yell at him and forbid him to come out, but it turned out that the man did not care at all and was still continuing his work.

"Letta." call Karina who suddenly appears and pat her on the shoulder.

Crystal turned towards Karina with a faint smile. The girl stared at Damian who was always standing in front of Kenzo's door.

"I'll get the room and the files ready for the meeting, come with me!" Karina suddenly pulled Crystal's wrist with an excited face.

"Shh." Crystal grimaced small due to Karina's sudden pull.

Hearing Crystal's ringing, Damian spontaneously pulled Karina's hand from Crys' wrist, then violently threw the girl's hand.

Now it was Karina's turn to grimace at the pain Damian had done to her. "Get's."

"Damian why did you do it?" crystal asked as she approached Karina with a worried face.

"I'm just doing my duty to protect you and make sure you don't get hurt Miss" Damian replied like a robot who obeys everything he's told.

"But Karina didn't mean to hurt me." Crystal said feeling guilty, but Damian's expression showed no guilt at all for his actions. The man's face was still flat expressionless.

"It's okay Letta, I'm okay" Karina said.

Crystal took a sigh of resignation, then walked along with the girl to the meeting room and ignored Damian who had an untouchable flat face.

"How are you doing?" karina asked as she walked along with Crystal beside her.

"Well." replied Crytal with a frown.

"Goodoo. I was worried about you after the incident at the hotel that time." said Karina.

Crystal breathed out slowly. "I've forgotten it." she said in a casual tone as if she had completely forgotten about it.

"I'm sure Mr. Duanovic has taught the man a lesson" Karina said with a proud smile.

Crystal turned her head quickly towards Karina after the girl said that. Crystal looked at Karina with a shocked face. How did she know Kenzo was doing this? The question was in his head.

Karina chuckled at the shocked face Crystal gave her. "That man is Mr. James, one of Mr.'s colleagues. Duanovic's. After that day, the Company went bankrupt and Mr. James was never seen again" Karina said at length.

Crystal looked slightly gaping while hearing Karina's words. He just heard and learned about it today.

"I don't know what your relationship is with Mr. Duanovic so he looks very protective of you" Karina said staring fixedly at Crystal.

Crystal who heard that instantly rolled her eyeballs lazily. "I don't have any relationship with that cold guy" Crystal denied with an irritated look and a sullen tone given how annoying that guy is today.

Karina laughed at the words of the girl next to her. "I've seen a lot of women who are on Mr.'s side. Duanovic all along. Now I know what distinguishes you from the women who are nearby." said Karina with a sweet thin smile while looking deeply into Crystal's eyes.

Crystal blinked her eyes repeatedly when she heard those words with hidden meanings. Karina stared at Crystal's wondering expression with an innocent face.

Karina smiled, then embraced Crystal's arm with a radiant face.

"I've decided to give up and give him to you. You should be lucky that I chose to give up on you because I am a pretty tough rival if you continue this." Karina said, who managed to make Crystal's face wrinkled in confusion.

The girl did not even understand what Karina said to her and just fell silent and followed Karina who took her somewhere.
