Chapter 47's

The Flashback

A middle-aged man tied to a chair and his mouth, also covered by a cloth, was now wriggling from the rope that had ensnared him. He was right under a dim light in the middle of the darkness of the room.

He stared intently at a young man who had emerged from the darkness with his slanted smile.

"We meet again Professor Adam" said the young man with a grin that looked creepy, like a tiger ready to pounce on its prey.

The middle-aged man who was held captive was Adam Alterio and the figure in front of him who had sealed him was Desmond Killian.

Desmond codes his men for him to untie Adam's mouth.

"Why are you keeping me like this?" adam asked after the bond had escaped his mouth.

Desmond smiled slantingly, then walked around the middle-aged man's chair with a hideous smile.

"I want you to continue with the project!" desmond said stopping beside the middle-aged man's chair.

Adam looked at me with a sharp look. "I told you this project can't continue. The chip is endangering the world" said Adam, balking and sticking to his stance.

But Desmond smiled casually, then took out a photo before Adam.

"Your youngest daughter is very beautiful. He's gonna be very good at the brothel." Adam looked at the photo of his daughter coming out of his school area.

"We can kidnap her at any time, even this second. Then what are you gonna do about Professor Adam? You're going to let your little daughter become a prostitute in her youth?" said Desmond smiling triumphantly at Adam's panicked face and the cold sweat pouring down the man's body.

"Are you still going to insist on saving the world and sacrificing your daughter?"

"Don't touch my family!" said Adam staring at Desmond so sharply and hatefully.

Desmond laughed loudly, then walked up and stood before Adam with a joyous face without guilt. Desmond stared fixedly at Adam's eyes as he lowered his body slightly, then stopped laughing and left his slanted smile.

"Continue the project, then your family will be safe" Desmond said with emphasis and a big smile.

Desmond straightened his body back up, then turned around and started walking away.

"I'll give you five minutes to make your choice" Desmond said before drowning in the darkness of the room.

Adam could do nothing. He could not have sacrificed the family he loved so much. His children are too young to lose everything.

The middle-aged man was caught between difficult choices. But he eventually decided to save his family. He decided to continue the project.

Desmond of course smiled happily triumphantly after hearing the decision. The project he wanted to do was finally back. A project that would make him hundreds of millions of dollars.

The project he has got, now the next plan will be carried out. Plans that would bring down one of his big competitors—Kenzo.

Flashback Off

Two days after the horrific incident, Crystal lived her life in the mansion lonely. He really had no one to talk to. No more Rose and Damian following her.

Kenzo never took her to the office again and she always came home the very night she had fallen asleep.

The mansion was no longer alive, even the Crystal that began to color the Mansion was now dimmer.

The girl again sat by the fish pond while looking at the fish that swim very charming. He saw many new faces from the servants and guards.

As the girl was pensive with her world, she did not realize that someone was walking up to her from behind her.

"Hi."

Crystal looked back after hearing the soft greeting and pat on her shoulder. The girl was stunned when she found a beautiful woman and a charming sweet smile.

Crystal replied to the hand in doubt.

"Mommy." Crystal looked at the two familiar twin boys running towards the woman in front of her while shouting to call her mother. Crystal remembers them being Vian and Vano whom he met when Levin took over Kenzo's body.

"Mommy, uncle Ken and sister Crystal are not there" Vian said in a voice so loud.

"Sister Crystal" said Vian surprised to see me who was in front of his mommy.

Crystal smiled thinly. "Hi" said Crystal as she waved lightly.

Vania smiled gently and looked at Crystal fixedly. "They used to tell you so many times after Ansell kidnapped them here again" said Vania chuckling.

Crystal laughs while Vian approaches and hugs Crystal's legs adorablely. "Sister said he was going to play at our house, but brother never came" Vian said with a sullen face.

"I'm sorry, you forgot" Crystal said with a guilty face as she stroked the boy's hair affectionately.

"How about we chat outside?" vania asked looking at Crystal who looked so clear that the girl was very depressed.

"out? In park?" ask Crystal reassuringly.

"How about we go to the nearest cafe, the kids want to play too."

"But.... Kenzo's...."

"Just calm down, my husband will take care of it" said Vania smiling amusedly, then pulling the girl's hand to leave with her car along with her two children.

Crystal stared at Vian and Vano who were playing in the children's play area provided by the cafe they went to. Vian is very active playing with other children while Vano looks not as active as Vian.

"Vano is just like her papa, quiet and anti-social" Vania said.

"But they're adorable" Crystal said.

Vania will always smile when she hears people's compliments about her children. A few seconds later, Vania's face turned a little serious and stared fixedly at the girl in front of her.

"I know Kenzo kept you in his mansion."

Crystal looked up and looked at Vania with a stiffened body. "How do you know?" tanyakanya.

"My husband told me that Kenzo kept a girl in his Mansion when he picked up Vian and Vano."

Crystal looked down while smiling. "He didn't just hold me, he killed my parents."

Vania was surprised not to hear it. His eyes were rounded not expecting that this was worse than what he had thought.

"You sure?" asked Vania who was replied with a short nod.

"Ten years ago, in my own house and before my eyes."

Vania was completely inexhaustible and looked at Crystal with a look of pity. But Kenzo doesn't kill just anyone like a bloodthirsty psychopath. He killed someone who deserved to be killed. Vania grabbed Crystal's hand and grasped it tightly.

"I'm going to tell my husband to find out the truth. Hang in!"
