"Manager, Tora. Can you stay in this room for a minute? I have something to discuss with you. Just the two of you. Can't you?"
Questions Tora never wanted to hear from her former best friend. But, unfortunately, since she was the most powerful person, Tora could not resist.
Tora did not answer. He just kept quiet while looking at the face that had been making him feel homesick.
"Of course you can, sir director. Please talk to our company manager, one eye" said Papa Tora quickly when he saw his son was silent without any intention of answering.
"Sorry, Sir. Our director asked your manager. Not with you. So why did you even answer? Is your director unable to answer the question himself?" One of Dicky's men spoke in an annoyed tone.
"Ah, forgive me. I thought, it's fine to answer the question from the director. Because I'm the chairman of the company here."
"Although you are the chairman, but what our director asked is not you. So why did you answer?"
"Enough. Why are you even arguing. I'll talk to the honorable director. Is that enough of an obvious answer for you?"
"And why are you still here? Don't you want to honor this director that you all respect so much?" Tora spoke again with a sharp gaze that looked a little scary.
"You can all go. I just want to discuss something important alone with this manager" Dicky said casually.
"Okay, young master. Excuse me now."
"Yes. Please."
Everyone left the meeting room. All that's left is Dicky and Tora.
"How are you, Tora? Are you okay now?" dicky asked, breaking the silence between the two of them.
"As you can see, Mr. director. I'm doing fine. Actually, what do you want to talk to me about? Directly on the subject matter. No need to convolve. I still have a lot of other business to take care of."
Hearing that, Dicky smiled. He looked at the face of Tora who was taking a look away from him.
"You're still the same, Tora. It hasn't changed a bit since then until now. I can still recognize you very well even though we've been separated for quite a long time."
"You why are you so familiar with me, director? Is it because you have power and are so feared here? Until you're so confident and even so rampant in people's companies."
"Tora-Tora. Why should it continue to be hostile from the past until now? Is the hostility between us not enough? Is everything you do to me still not enough for you? Why are you still not satisfied, Tora? Why?"
"Because you can't take back the life of the man I love, Dicky. You can't make my beloved sister come back to life. That's why I've never been satisfied with this enmity."
"Oh, is that it? Then, are you able to restore all my happiness that you have stolen? Can you cover up all the wounds you've scratched right in my heart, Tora?"
Tora's speechless. He had no more words to defend himself. He was only able to remain silent with the same gaze as before, dodging from seeing Dicky.
"I had to leave the city where I was born, Tora. It's all because of you. I don't want you to take the person I love again after you take the person I loved the most before. I leave with hope, you are satisfied to have had him. But unfortunately, when we met, you were still the same. There is still a grudge in your heart for me. I regret all that."
Now it was Dicky's turn to bow his head. He felt a little relieved that he had let go of all the grunts that had been in his heart all along. Yes although what he expected turned out to be not the same as reality, but at the very least, he calmed down a little.
At first, Dicky came to this company because he knew it was Tora's family. He knew that since he was in school, the company would be passed down to Tora as the first and only boy in the family. For that reason as well, she had never touched this company even though Tora's treatment was so painful to her heart.
He chose to endure his pain. He also continues to help the company of his former best friend even without anyone's knowledge. Because at any moment, Tora will remain a friend in Dicky's heart.
After a while they kept quiet, Dicky finally decided to leave the room. He left without saying a word to leave Tora.
However, his steps suddenly came to a halt as Tora said something.
"Do you still love him, Dicky?"
The question immediately stopped Dicky's steps. He was silent for a while, then twisted his body to look at Tora.
"Who do you mean, Tora? Is she your wife?"
"You know who I mean. So, why ask?"
Dicky smile.
"I won't fight anymore with you. Besides, I already have a queen at home. What do I want what you have for? I've got everything. Yes even if it doesn't include friends."
"Don't talk convoluted, Dicky. I only asked one word, so you only need to answer one word. No need to overdo it to give an answer."
"Well, for the questions you ask, then I will answer as you wish. The answer is, no. Because I have a queen I love so much now."
Tora did not answer anymore, she just kept silent while looking at Dicky who was standing straight in front of her.
"Yes, if there's nothing you want to talk about anymore, then I want to leave now. May you be happy with him. I know, you guys must have lived happily ever after. Excuse me, I'm leaving now."
Tora stared at Dicky leaving the room. His heart wanted to say sorry to his ex-friend. My lips are too heavy to speak.
Tora finally chose to sit on one of the chairs not far from her. With a rough swipe of his face, the mind kept thinking about every word Dicky said.
'You don't know how hard life has been for me and him, Dicky. The journey we took was heart-shaking, testing faith and patience. We are not as happy as you and your special partner. And now, I was on the edge of a deep ravine with a very slippery surface. At least I stepped wrong, then my life would be ruined.'
