Meanwhile, when Olivia arrives at the hospital, tears begin to fall on her cheeks.
'Why did all this happen to Adel? She doesn't deserve any of this Olivia said in her heart.
Olivia called John and when she got in the car she knew something bad had happened. John sounds like he doesn't care about Adel. He even said that he did not want to go to see Adel. Olivia yells at John, until John says he's coming to see Adel.
Olivia tries to talk to John, asking what happened. But John chose to remain silent and not say anything. Olivia also learns that John is not in town right now. He wanted to go back to his college.
John had actually stopped going to his college, ever since he learned that he was the Papa of the children Adel had born. Now it all seems that he's going to leave it all back.
Olivia sees Miss Helen sitting in a waiting chair and Olivia knows from the look on her face that Adel's condition is not okay.
"Mom Helen." Olivia.
"Oh.... Olivia darling. Thank you for coming." Said Ms. Helen with tears that seemed to fall on her cheeks.
Olivia walked over to Ms. Helen and hugged her tightly, letting Ms. Helen know she was there to accompany Ms. Helen.
"Have you heard of Adel's condition?" Ask Olivia and then Miss Helen just shook her head.
Olivia was hoping that nothing bad would happen. But now, all of his hopes had simply disappeared.
"Jafri!" Ma'am Helen called Jefri.
'Jefri! Who's Jefri?' ask Olivia in my heart.
Olivia then looked in the direction where Bu Helen's eyes seemed to be looking at someone and she saw a face that she never thought she would see again.
'Jefri! What is she doing here and how does she know Miss Helen?' ask Olivia in my heart.
"Can you get Olivia a cup of coffee?" Ask Miss Helen.
"Of course Miss Helen." Reply Jefri and walk away to get out of the hospital to buy Olivia coffee.
"Mom Helen, why is she here?" Olivia asked confusedly.
"He was at home with Adel. When Adel fell ill and was unconscious, he was the one who called the ambulance. He's the one who saved Adel's life according to the doctors." Reply to Miss Helen.
Olivia looked towards the direction where Jefri was standing last time.
'Why would Adel and Jefri be together? I don't even know if they're still in touch.' Olivia said in her heart.
Olivia thought back to herself, why didn't Adel say anything to her. And there's only one reason Olivia can think of why Adel didn't say that to her, and that's unacceptable to Olivia. In any case, it would all make sense with the attitude John was displaying at the moment.
'Oh my God, please let what I think this time be wrong. I thought that Adel loved John, but how could he do all this?' olivia said in her heart.
...****************...
It has been a few hours since Adel was taken to the operating room. Every minute passed with the feeling of Ms. Helen being so frightened for the safety of her daughter. Gea, Adel's sister, also arrived a few minutes ago and Ms. Helen told Gea about everything that happened. While Jefri was gone since an hour ago.
Ms. Helen hasn't seen Jefri in years. Helen and Mama Jefri are friends. But that was before Mama Jefri died. Miss Helen also knew that Jefri and Adel had been friends, but Jefri never explained to Ms. Helen how she could be in their house with Adel.
Miss Helen is also worried about Olivia's current attitude, because ever since she was in the hospital and saw Jefri's whereabouts, Olivia acted differently. Even though Jefri was gone, Olivia still behaved like never before. Miss Helen tried to ask Olivia what happened. But Olivia said there was nothing. But Miss Helen doesn't trust Olivia.
What's of greatest concern to Ms. Helen now is the relationship between Adel and John. John hasn't come back after two hours and a half ago just to see if Adel's okay or not. And then after that he went away. Ms. Helen had seen how they both loved each other and Ms. Helen could not understand anything that happened, why John could act like this.
"Mrs Helen." Said someone calling Ms. Helen's name.
It turned out to be a doctor who walked over to Bu Helen.
"Yes the doctor." Reply to Ms. Helen with a worried-looking face.
"We're finally done performing surgery on your daughter. You can feel relieved because he is already in a healing period now." Said the doctor.
"Oh, thank God." Said Mrs Helen. "What's really going on? Why is he sick like that?" Ask Miss Helen.
"Does your daughter, Adel, often feel confused or have headaches?" Ask the doctor.
Helen seemed to think
"He often felt a headache, but not too bad." Reply to Miss Helen.
"How did he manage the pain?" Ask the doctor again.
"Mmmm.... I think he used to take pain medication." Said Mrs Helen.
The doctor seemed to be writing a note that came out of nowhere. He looked back at Ms. Helen.
"Did he act slowly or was he often confused?" Ask the doctor again.
"Sorry doctor, I don't understand what you mean." Ms. Helen was confused.
Ms. Helen was starting to get worried about what the doctor was going to say now.
"I mean, does Adel seem to think more slowly than usual? Did he think long enough to do or decide something?" Ask the doctor.
"I.... I. I don't think so." Reply to Miss Helen.
The doctor nodded his head and went back to writing other things in his notebook.
"Alright, one last question Miss Helen. Does his personality seem to change? Is he acting differently? Like being angry, happy, or depressed?" Ask the doctor again.
"No." Reply to Ms. Helen with confidence.
"That's all I want to ask you. However I think that you must have some questions that you want to ask. What do you want to know, madam?" Ask the doctor politely.
"What really happened to my daughter?" Ask Miss Helen.
"Adel was in quite a serious pain in his head. We think that it was caused by a blood clot that was in his brain. That's the reason why I ask her about whether she's often confused, thinking slowly, or a different personality, getting frequent headaches and all of those are symptoms." Said the doctor.
Ms. Helen looked so surprised because it was a much worse thing than she could think. He could hear a heavy breathing sound from beside him and he looked towards Olivia and Gea who seemed to be approaching to hear the doctor's words.
"How did all that happen? How can people get blood clots like this? Why did Adel experience it?" Ask Miss Helen.
"I've read the medical records from Adel, and I can be sure that the blood clots happened because Adel's head was hit and he had amnesia. And that's what makes all this happen." Said the doctor.
"Then what now? Is that all gone? Is that all that's causing him to have surgery?" Ask Helen again.
"Yes, we had to do an MRI on him, when he was brought in after the pain stopped. And the results from the MRI showed that there was a blood clot going on in his brain. The operation had stopped all of that, but it wasn't very successful either." Said the doctor.
"What?" Miss Helen was surprised. "Why not succeed? What's that supposed?" Helen's mother was almost hysterical.
"The blood clot is too small to be operable. But we have to keep doing it to avoid worse risks. But the surgery is quite risky because it can cause permanent brain damage. But, we have already started to provide alternative treatments to him. We are now providing treatment for him using corticosteroid drugs. It was a drug that was usually much more successful for dealing with small and still new blood clots." Said the doctor.
"Will he be okay?" Mom Helen looked desperate.
"I believe that if he can respond well to the treatment given, then of course he can go home in less than a week." Reply to the doctor.
"Thank you Doctor." Said Ms. Helen who finally could breathe a sigh of relief.
Ms. Helen was so grateful that at least she knew that Adel would be fine.

Info on MRI:
Magnetic Resonance Imaging or MRI of the brain is a common diagnostic imaging performed for the diagnosis of brain tumors, strokes, and intracranial hemorrhage. This imaging modality uses a strong magnetic field and radiofrequency pulses to produce a detailed picture of the internal structure of the body. MRI is especially useful for viewing the soft tissues of the body.
MRI of the brain provides a clear and detailed picture of anatomical segmentation. This image is useful for measuring and looking at the anatomical structure of the brain, the presence or absence of changes in the brain, and the presence or absence of pathological areas.
