Best Teacher And Me
Rain of Love

The rain continues to fall nonstop. This rain is comfortable. The atmosphere is good to sleep, but not for real sleep.

School hours are over, but the rain is not stopping. Kila did not want to trouble her mother to pick her up like most other students did. This time, Kila tried to wait for the rain to subside in the musholla.

About two o'clock, Kila decided to wait for the angkot because it felt the rain was starting to subside. Unexpectedly, the rain was getting heavier when Kila had arrived at the school bus stop. He was forced to wait at the stop only time there was an angkot passing by.

“Cold too, yes. Where forgot to bring the jacket earlier,” said Kila. He crossed his hands and rubbed them to reduce the cold he felt.

The school has begun to be quiet because most of the students have been picked up by the driver or his parents. Kila was still waiting at the stop despite the cold. Kila felt that if he took another taxi online the money would be in vain, who knows the rain subsided, right?

“Lho, you're not home yet, Kila?” Irsyad parked his car near the stop. He got out of his car near Kila.

“Hehe, no, sir. The freight has not come yet, so I am still waiting,” replied Kila. He still crossed his hands and rubbed them to reduce the cold he felt. Although, the air had started to heat up since Irsyad invited him to talk.

“Bapak himself has not returned?” ask Kila back.

“True, I'm just going home because the new job is done. You look cold, I can lend you my jacket,” said Irsyad offering. He took off the jacket he was wearing and gave it to Kila.

“Sorry, Sir. I don't think you need to do that. It's not really cold, actually. I'm even hot right now, sir. Please you put the jacket back on,” replied Kila refused. Kila's words are true. He is now hot because of Irsyad's attitude.

“You are there. Where there are people overheated in the rain like this,” Irsyad responded.

“There, I proof of that, sir. That's also the cause of his own father,” Inner Kila replied.

“But I sincerely give this. It looks like the rain will continue more heavily while you wait for the angkot later, you should wear it so that you do not get sick,” said Irsyad again, a little pushy.

Kila actually really wanted to wear the jacket offered, but he also had to keep his attitude as a student. This time it was not good with Irsyad's offer. Inevitably, he had to accept it because if this conversation continued it could harm his heart. He also did not want Irsyad to be late to his house because of Kila.

“Good, Sir, I accept. Thank you very much, sir,” said Kila while receiving Irsyad jacket.

“Ya already, then I stay first. Assalamu’alaykum,” Irsyad ended while getting into his car.

“Wa’alaykumussalam, Sir. Bapak be careful on the road.” Said Kila who may not have heard Irsyad because the car had gone.

Kila was wearing the jacket that Irsyad lent her. The distinctive softening aroma of his clothes was very soothing. The coldness he felt before turned warm. Either warm from this jacket, or from the giver of the jacket. Kila was unknowingly unable to stop smiling as she recalled how this jacket could be lent by Irsyad.

Before long the rain had begun to subside, leaving only specks. Looks like Angkot will be arriving soon.

...****************...

Irsyad was at his house. He was happy because the rain was starting to fall. However, he doubts that in this rainy time where the streets are flooded with rainwater, there will be angkot passing by. There was concern for Kila at the time. Maybe the kid's still waiting for the angkot.

Irsyad hurriedly put his work files into the room. Then he went back to school because it started raining again. The weather was unpredictable, only briefly subsided now began to rush back.

There is no one at home. Father and Mother Irsyad just came home after Ashar, so he did not need to say goodbye.

At the stop, Kila was still waiting. The start time showed at half-three, but the angkot never came and the rain again flushed.

“You haven't got angkot yet?” irsyad said suddenly. He came out with a slightly more relaxed suit because he had changed his shirt with a shirt at home earlier.

“Lho, Mr Irsyad, why are you here? Didn't you come home earlier?” ask Kila wonder. In his mind he thought to what did Irsyad come back for? Is it to meet him?

“What the hell is this, why do I feel like I have a heart attack from his words?” inner Kila.

“Bapak didn't say anything wrong, did he? Why bother, sir? Angkot is coming soon, right. If it does not come I try to use an online taxi.” This time Kila really threw it.

“True, I didn't misspoke. I'm worried about you as a homeroom teacher. I want my students to safely get to their guardian's house. You also don't want to ashar you're late, do you? So, just according. You won't refuse, will you? I've been struggling to come here for you,” said Irsyad a little pushy.

Kila was actually very happy. However, he tried not to show it by putting on an expressionless flat face.

“You sit in the back, yes, like that time,” continued Irsyad.

“Good, Sir. Thank you very much for the ride,” reply Kila. He then got into the car and so did Irsyad.

Rain continued throughout their journey. Kila saw the outside from the window. Rain water began to stagnate on the road, Irsyad also drove his car more slowly. The trip this time took a long time. Kila also felt very difficult to breathe because it was very close to the youth.

“Kila, shortly ashar time. How about we stop first at a mosque to pay it off?” irsyad broke the silence.

“Good, Sir. Let's just stop first. Near here happens to be a mosque,” replied Kila.

“Alright then,” reply Irsyad.

They also pulled over at a mosque to wait and fulfill the ashar time. They split into their own places.

Kila arrived at the ablution spot, he felt his cheeks heat up. The cause is definitely Irsyad. He tried to neutralize everything that Irsyad was not normal to make, especially his heart. He washed his face several times, then took ablution.

“I'm coming into your house, can I? I want to explain everything to your grandmother,” said Irsyad. Now they were in front of Kila's house.

“Not bother, sir. My father has helped me a lot. Thank you very much, sir. To explain to grandma, my business. I don't want to take any more father time,” replied Kila.

“Then say my regards to your grandmother. I will go straight home,” said Irsyad pamit. Kila then got off Irsyad's car after saying thank you, jazakallahu khair and greetings. Then, Irsyad returned to his house after turning back.

Kila went straight into the house with a happy face. He immediately went into the room to prepare himself if his grandmother asked a variety of questions.

Kila lay down on the bed and smothered her face with a blanket. He became strange today because of the behavior of the man he loved.

“Thanks for the rain,” Inner Kila.

This rain fostered even more love in Kila's heart for the man who was the homeroom teacher. Let Irsyad deliver it as a form of attention that bears the title of homeroom teacher, but still Irsyad cares about Kila. Kila will never forget this event, and she likes the rain more because the rain has brought good memories that I will never forget.
