Best Teacher And Me

Best Teacher And Me
Look Back

While the class is busy with Irsyad, Kila is still with her daydreams, interacting with her other self in her own mind. Kila came to the conclusion, the contents of Kila's heart wanted to make peace with her mother and father. However, Kila was definitely not given a chance to speak and be heard by them. Kila did not understand, did her parents think about her son's feelings?

"I want us to be 'aruf." A short sentence was successful in making Kila free from her daydream. There was an unfamiliar word and Kila was happy to hear it.

How could, Kila think about ta'aruf? Is it because her mom talked about dating last night? Argh, his strange mind is becoming. Kila was looking for a figure who said that piece of sentence. His gaze immediately met with the speaker. How could this happen? Did the man speak directly to Kila? And the man had already looked at Kila first without Kila noticing.

Like a magnet, a pair of concentrated hazel retinas belonging to the man pulled Kila to look at him. It seemed like he recognized that pair of retinas because he had looked at it before. Really beautiful eyes.

"aaa... Why do I think about the problems that occur at home. There are people who make me happy here. There are two friends of mine who are always there for me, and there is also this guy who makes me think about it all the time. Ta'aruf, why don't I think about getting married young and leaving mom and dad behind?" batin Kila. A piece of incomplete sentence that Kila heard from the speaker made Kila think to be free from her mother and father. If that pronouncer were to propose to berta'aruf first, Kila would have accepted it. With that very second, Kila became aware that she had put her heart on the speaker, Irsyad.

"I want us to be 'aruf." The sentence was again on Kila's head. Unaware of him, he carved a smile on his lips. Undeniably, Kila's response was a very honest reflex to her true feelings. Then swiftly Kila lowered his head so that the smile he had just realized was invisible to the teacher.

"I hope you understand and work on it soon." Continued sentence from Irsyad thrown from his words that have not been completed before.

"Okay, sir," answered the whole class.

Irsyad who had been putting his eyes on Kila now changed his gaze by looking at all the students. Then sit down to the teacher's chair located in front of Kila's desk. Kila's smile faded away instantly as everyone in the class greeted Irsyad. The approval of the entire class indicates that Kila had misunderstood what she heard. Kila immediately buried his face on the table, embarrassed because he had misinterpreted an incomplete sentence that he had just heard. A moment later Kila's head faced to the right staring at Ira and Risa's table. It was seen that the two people were laughing a little but were immediately stopped when they realized they were being noticed by Kila.

"Ira, Risa, look out for you, yeah. And this, why is Mr. Irsyad here?" inner Kila. Kila's sitting position is now turned into sitting upright with his head lowered staring at his desk with a chin supported.

"What are you, whose name is it?" irsyad.

"You, who sat alone without a peer in front of me. I'm talking to you." said Irsyad more firmly.

"You mean, me, sir?" ask Kila to be confused. Kila slightly frowned and thought, Did Kila not hear wrong again with this Irsyad speech? Then, why was Kila spoken to by Irsyad?

"Yes, you."

"I see you didn't notice my explanation, did you?"

"Umm, sorry, sir. Father's right. I promise I won't repeat it again, sir."

"OK then. I'm talking to you because surely you don't know there's a job to do. I just want you to know, I'm the substitute homeroom teacher who runs this class. The subject I teach is Indonesian. For my complete biodata, I have described on the board, please read. And, since you already know me, there is a task I give to all students including you, to make a personal bio on a piece of paper for me to get to know my students in this class. There is an additional task, at the end of the biodata I ask you to write in the form of a description of the person who is valuable to you. Can't ask what this extra task is for. Just write it down, it's also related to my lesson."

The atmosphere between Kila and Irsyad became serious instantly. Kila did not know what to respond to Irsyad's explanation. But that explanation was clear enough for the size of Kila who quickly grasped the explanation of all the teachers, so Kila did not want to ask about the task given by Irsyad. However, Kila also had to put on an expressionless face to disguise the various turbulent expressions in her mind due to talking together like this with Irsyad. Recalling, the position of Irsyad's face slightly raised leaning towards Kila's desk so that their conversation was not heard by other students who were already busy doing the task given by Irsyad.

No one spoke anymore, then created silence. The atmosphere became awkward. Kila should have responded to Irsyad's words, but she chose silence not to dwell in the slightest. The mood is getting very serious now.

The look of Kila's face was full of tension, Irsyad then laughed very slowly but still can be heard by Kila. Kila did not dare to stare anymore, nor did she feel that she was being laughed at by Irsyad.

"Casual, easygoing. Don't be too serious.I just want to prank you. You look very deep when daydreaming. Wh why? Break up in love, huh?" irsyad broke the silence.

"Not really." Kila emphasized the answer a little. He least likes something about romance that concerns him being carried around. Even if it's just a joke.

"Yes, you did what I explained just now" Irsyad said. Then only reciprocated by the action by Kila by ripping the middle of his book and began to scratch the pen on it.

"Description about someone precious to me, huh? Must be grandma. Where do I start, huh? Don't bring papa's mama, deh. About grandma completely." Inner Kila weighed and thought where he would write first the description of his grandmother.

On the other side, Irsyad looked a little peek at what Kila had written. Not peeking, but Kila gave a gap to anyone who wanted to see what he wrote could be seen what he wrote, so rather see with indirect permission. Irsyad was a little surprised by what Kila wrote. Because, in the description of the person who is valuable for his life he does not write about his parents like most students but writes about his grandmother. Irsyad then realized the uniqueness of Kila in developing the words in the description he made.

"Humm, unique girl," Inner Irsyad.
