"I'm your wife anyway, so I'm entitled to enter your study" Elsa replied
of calm.
His tone was calm, but Thomas knew that he spoke faster than
usually and he seems a little nervous.
"Of course," Thomas pointed to the sofa. "Please sit down."
This was probably the first time they had sat down to chat like this after
married for fifteen years.
Both Elsa and Thomas felt unnatural.
"What do you want to talk to me about?"
He started making tea and did not look towards Elsa. As if avoiding
eye contact with him would make the tension in the air not too much
awkward.
The smell of tea filled the room.
"Ethan that. Is he your son?" Elsa direct to the point. "your son
with him."
Thomas stopped pouring tea for a moment, then continued pouring tea and
laughingly.
"Since when have you been curious about these things?"
The sound of tea flowing out was very loud in that quiet room. Thomas
put the tea cup in front of Elsa. "There have been a lot of rumors out there lately
this, and sometimes I can't tell which one is real and which one is
not anymore."
Elsa did not touch her tea and continued to stare at Thomas.
"Just tell me," she took a deep breath. "Yes or not?"
"Yes," Thomas suddenly admitted.
Elsa dumbfounded. He thought Thomas would deny it or even ignore it
the question. He did not expect her to tell him the answer
direct, and it's actually yes.
He was really willing to tell her about this?
Does he not know what his relationship with Ethan means?
Elsa completely froze and did not react for a long time.
He was the one who asked that question, but he himself did not believe it
with answers.
"But too bad, he doesn't acknowledge me, so I guess he doesn't."
to Elsa, "Try the tea. It's the boy's favorite tea, I asked Jack to figure out a way
to buy me."
Elsa stared at the teacup, then looked back at Thomas.
He reached out and took the teacup. He took a little and
his expression was somewhat complicated.
"Why does someone his age like to drink tea?"
"No matter how bitter the tea is, it may be sweeter than alive" he said
Thomas smiled with a smile. "I don't even dare to imagine life
it was horrible what he was going through. I'm afraid if I try
imagining it, I would start to think that he was right in resisting
to acknowledge me and Hunt's family."
Elsa said nothing. He looked at the tea cup and drank it all.
"Did Dwight ask you that?" ask Tomas.
"No," Elsa shook her head. "I just want to know for myself whether
Ethan was the kid you had with him, and now I know the answer."
"Don't worry, I won't tell my brother or anyone the same
once. Since you don't want anyone to know about this, I won't
say nothing."
"I believe you" said Thomas.
Of course, he knew the impact it would have on the Hunt family if he revealed
it has to do with Ethan. The Biggs family and the Snow family will be soon
turn their attention to the Hunt family, and maybe even the man in the
turning all this back will also turn his attention to the Hunt family.
But he didn't want to hide this from Elsa.
Elsa said nothing. He got up to leave.
He asked her what she wanted and got the answer she wanted
wants too. Thomas' honesty made him happy.
It's actually easy to make her happy. It was as if she was still that girl
simple and innocent at the time.
"What happened back then wasn't your fault and he never blamed you
therefor. I'm sure Ethan is a grown-up kid and once he finds out who he is
actually, she won't blame you either" Elsa walked over to the door and
turn to look at Tomas. "Be better at him, he'll admit you."
