Thomas burst into laughter upon hearing these words from Angelica.
He opened the can on his desk and pulled out a bar of sugar and
put it in Angelica's cup.
"Try some more tea."
Angelica said nothing. He took a cup of tea and sipped it
any more.
The tea is still bitter.
But now there was a hint of sweetness left in his throat.
Diane is a sugar cube in Ethan's life.
"I've given up," Angelica put down the teacup as if she
release Ethan. He sighed softly, "As long as Diane is around, it's impossible
I can take her away from him."
"You have to live your own life" Thomas said. "When you two
still a kid, you two play together and you insist on
marrying her. But it's just something between the kids playing, and you guys
just gonna know what love is after growing up."
"I've been there before and I don't want you to feel any pain and
regrets in the future. Do you understand what I'm saying?"
Angelica nodded.
"Ethan won't hurt you, either" Thomas continued. "He was always
treated you like his little sister and always protected you and
keep you out of danger. I'm sure you can feel it too."
Thomas leaned back on the sofa and smiled.
It was as if he did not care about what Angelica had said before
about how someone's gonna kill him at the fair tonight.
He cares more about Ethan.
He wants Ethan to live happily ever after. He doesn't want Ethan to take the road
the same as he did and hurt any woman who
love and protect her.
"I understand" replied Angelica. "Don't worry, I won't interfere
them, and I can't either."
If there's another woman in this world who can mess with the relationship between Ethan
and Diane, it's gonna make Angelica even more angry.
He looked at Thomas and went back to the reason why he was here.
"Uncle Hunt, about tonight's exhibition ..."
"The Biggs family has never been so proactive before, so I'll be seen
it's bad if they're so sincere and I refuse to attend" Thomas replied
while laughing. "Whatever will, will happen, you can't hide
"But…"
Angelica is still worried.
The Biggs family is the organizer of the exhibition tonight and Roman is the man
who told him this information. Besides, Ethan has slapped Roman
so loud in public. There's no way Roman would accept this fact.
He's afraid it's a trap.
"Nothing but, don't worry," Thomas smiled. "All right now, accept it
love your attention, but you really don't have to worry. Better
you're back at work."
"The Long Family situation is more than enough for you to handle. We don't have
a lot of relationships to each other when your father was around, but if you
need help, you can tell me."
Angelica knew that Thomas would not listen to her no matter what
he's saying.
He was worried but there was nothing he could do. He could only hope that
Ethan wouldn't be cruel enough to let Thomas just die.
Jack escorts Angelica out, then returns to the study quickly
a grim expression on his face.
"Sir, this is no joke!"
He knew that Angelica was really worried.
That means somebody really wanted to kill Thomas and it wasn't
empty threat.
Because there are people who suspect that Ethan is related to the Hunt family,
then they will also feel that Hunt's family is a big threat to the
them.
They must determine if Ethan is related to the Hunt family.
The easiest way to confirm this is to kill Thomas.
As long as Ethan shows up and saves Thomas, then there's no need to exist
other explanation.
"Why are you so plan-washy too?" Thomas frowned. "What can
happened to me?"
"Master, the Biggs family .. have hidden themselves from the world too
