The life story of Khansa bint Khadzdzam a Muslimah in the time of the Prophet was full of messages for the Eve. He became an example and a living witness of how the teachings of Islam spread by the Prophet Muhammad greatly glorified women.
Khansa's life journey is an important lesson that Islam does not curb the freedom of women. In fact, from an early age, Islam has given freedom to women: freedom in determining the future husband, freedom of opinion, and so on.
In fact, it is no exaggeration to say that Islam in terms of freedom of opinion is more listening to the opinions of women than men. Until the threshold of divorce, Islam still respects the position of a woman.
For example, if a husband breaks up with his wife or divorces her before she is married, the husband must pay half a predetermined dowry. However, if the husband scatters his wife after being mauled, he must pay the dowry in full.
At that time, the husband could not arbitrarily say, from the side of heredity and position, he was in this case the wife was still under me.
The story of Khansa contains a lesson that a woman should understand very well the meaning of a marriage that should be built on love and compassion.
The Prophet of the Holy Spirit affirmed that a marriage should not contain elements of fraud or coercion. Therefore, a guardian has no right to force his child to marry a person he does not love.
On that basis, the Prophet of Islam PBUH disallowed Khansa's marriage. When he was forced by his father to marry someone he did not love.
Khansa was a descendant of Bani Amr ibn Auf ibn Aus. When he was young, he met the Prophet SAW. Khansa is also recorded as narrating several hadiths from the Prophet.
It is said that Khansa was proposed by two young men, namely Abu Lubabah bin Mundzir, one of the warrior heroes and also a friend of the Prophet SAW, and the other was a man from Bani Amr bin Auf who was still his relative.
In fact, Khansa was interested in Abu Lubabah. However, the father has his own will, which is to choose his uncle's son for his daughter.
Khansa eventually married her father to her uncle's son. Then, Khansa immediately met the Prophet and complained about the problem.
Yes, Prophet, my father forced me to marry the man he wanted, but I did not.
The Prophet said, There is no marriage with him, marry the one you love.
Khansa married Abu Lubabah. Hadith scholars differ on Khansa's status during her second marriage to Abu Lubabah.
A narration in al-Muwaththa’ and ats-Tsauri says that Khansa during the second marriage was still a virgin.
Meanwhile, according to the narratives of Bukhari and Ibn Sa’ad, during the second marriage, Khansa was already widowed because he once said to the Prophet, O Messenger of Allah, indeed the uncle of my son, the husband of the first Khansa, who was the first Khansa, prefer to me. The Prophet SAW then handed over the Khansa affair completely to him.
Habiba was stunned to read the story of Khansa bint Khadzdzam as Ajimukti had suggested to him. Silence, he smiled to himself. It was not wrong for him to ask Ajimukti for advice this afternoon.
Habiba is now increasingly convinced not to agree with Budi's proposal later. But behind all the relief, even Habiba was still afraid to really reject the desire of his brother. How he would say his rejection to his brother. Habiba doesn't have enough courage to do that.
Once again Habiba looks moody if you have to remember that. However, he had never once rejected his brother's wishes.
Habiba is now sitting down. Before finally heard a rowdy voice in the middle room Kyai Aminudin. Habiba tries to find out what's uproar there. Faintly he heard the rising voice of his brother. It seems Kyai Aminudin was angry in the middle room.
"It's been said many times, right, Mi. Habiba will still be married to his son Budi Pak Nugroho. Did you forget that Mr. Nugroho was willing to help build a princess cottage in our pesantren?" Kyai Aminudin's thunderous voice almost filled the room.
Habiba who only saw and heard the high voice of his brother from behind the wall suddenly shrunk his guts. Habiba knows very well how Kyai Aminudin is now when he is angry.
"But, Bah. However, Habiba will also live it. How can Habiba be happy if Habiba does not love Nak Budi?" This time Uminya was heard to start defending Habiba.
"Love! The love! The love! Ohhey!!! Is it enough to eat love? Buanyak Mi proof that they are said to be married for love, but where is the proof? Are they happy? So that guy's a realist, Mi. Happiness, if you have it all. Well, Nak Budi you know Mi. Umi know for herself? Nak Budi is the sole heir of Pak Nugroho. Less what is he? About old love will also grow itself if all the needs of our children are fulfilled. Remember, Mi. Tresno jalaran Soko kulino. Long time gendhuk will also love to die with Nak Budi Mi if they are married later. And again is umi not happy to see our only child living a good life to have enough?" Kyai Aminudin continued to raise his voice.
"Ah, mbuh, Bah. It's hard to talk to Abah. Umi just doesn't want our son's happiness Abah risked for Abah's ambition." Kyai Aminudin's wife is now seen starting to be a little upset with her husband's attitude.
"What kind of future, Bah? The future of Habiba or the future of Abah?" Suddenly Habiba stood up and began to make his voice beside the wall of the middle room. I don't know what drives her on now this brave.
Kyai Aminudin glared and looked furious. For the first time her daughter dared to say that word to her. Kyai Aminudin stared intently at Habiba with wrathful eyes. His wife, too, looked shocked when she heard Habiba dare to say that to Abah who had always feared him all this time.
"You!!!" Kyai Aminudin was still staring intently at Habiba. His molar teeth were heard starting to rustle and cling to each other.
"Why, Bah? What's wrong with Habiba saying this? Didn't the Prophet say that women should also be asked for permission when they want to be married, and this is what is called the marriage of al-Mukrah?" Now Habiba started to step on his feet. His eyes had never been this sharp before. There was not the slightest bit of hesitation emanating on his face.
"How dare you speak to your Abahmu like that, Nduk? Feeling your pinter now? Is this your result all this time? To fight your Abah? Heh?" Kyai Aminudin increasingly looks furious with his son's sharp gaze towards him.
"There is nothing that Habiba fears anymore, Bah. As long as Habiba is right. As long as Habiba retains the rights of Habiba. Show it to Habiba, Bah! Where is the error of what Habiba says?" Habiba has stopped. His distance with his Abah was only about two steps. His eyes were still as sharp as before.
Kyai Aminudin grinned. Then he turned to his wife, "Mi, look! Look, Mi. Our proud son. Now it's been brave against its parents!"
Kyai Aminudin's wife could only sigh and try to approach her daughter to calm her down.
"That's it, Mi. Habiba only conveys what Habiba needs to say. Habiba had no intention of daring against Abah. But Habiba only wanted Habiba's rights as a child to be fulfilled by Abah as the guardian of Habiba." Habiba remained with his stance despite generally trying to calm him down.
"But it is, Nduk! Don't be so much your Abah!" Uminya said softly while stroking Habiba's shoulder.
"Habiba sure. Abah as a Kyai who knows so much about the hadith and the book, Abah also knows about the story of Khansa bint Khadzdzam?" Habiba tries to use what he got from Ajimukti as his current shield.
Kyai Aminudin turned his body and looked back at Habiba.
"You dare you say it like that to your Abah, Nduk?" Kyai Aminudin began to ride apitam hearing the words of Habiba just now.
Habiba smiled cynically, "Why, Bah? Of course it's no stranger to Abah with that name, right? And Abah must know about the story, right?" Habiba is getting more urgent.
Kyai Aminudin's face this time was completely red. His eyeballs bulged as big as a marbles seed. He did not expect that Habiba would say that to him.
"Educate your son to know how to talk to his parents, Mi!" Kyai Aminudin left Habiba and his wife in the middle room. The insistence of Habiba's words made him no longer able to hold back his emotions. He was sure that if he continued this debate, Habiba would further corner him.
In the chaos of his heart filled with anger. Kyai Aminudin is increasingly worried that when Pak Nugroho comes back to continue talks about Budi's proposal to Habiba. Habiba will still stick with his current stance. Refusing. For now Kyai Aminudin prefers not to continue the debate. He believes Habiba is no longer easy to follow his decision.
In the middle room Habiba still stands sculpting. His attitude was so calm despite having spoken that to his brother. For the first time Habiba felt a new self that could not only cry and cry.
Um once again trying to calm the heart of her daughter. Once again in the elusah Habiba back with full softness.
"Already, Nduk. Calm your heart first." Uminya said as soon as she saw her brother had left them.
"God willing, Habiba is quite calm this time, Mi. However, Habiba must continue to convey this to Abah. Habiba does not want Abah to be filled with ambition and forget all his rights and obligations as the guardian of Habiba, Mi." Habiba's speech is still pecking.
Now Uminya tried to grab the shoulder of her daughter and turn her body facing towards her. Uminya looked at Habiba in even that view until it penetrated into the heart of Habiba.
"What santri is it that makes you this strong now, Nduk?" Tanya Uminya gently while lifting her daughter's chin.
Habiba only sighed before finally nodding lightly.
Seriate...
