Marvin lifted his face giving a flat look to his father-in-law.

"If one day the enemy suddenly attacks, will you be ready to sacrifice your life for the sake of my daughter?" adam asked seriously.

"Did you doubt me?" ask Marvin not less seriously.

Adam chuckled softly then patted Marvin on the shoulder making the man grimace in pain from hitting his wound.

"She is my only daughter. Even though you're going to protect her, I can't be completely sure of your abilities yet. You remember what happened a while ago, right?" adam said immediately to Marvin speechless.

Marvin wouldn't mind if my father-in-law tested it that way. Marvin is aware that his ability is not strong enough compared to Carlos.

"What does my father want me to do?" asked Marvin to vent.

Just closing the door, Adam was surprised to find a sharp look from his wife.

In the room, there is a brief debate between Davina and Marvin.

"Why do you agree with Dad's ridiculous request?" ask Davina full of probes.

"I think I need to improve my skills. I haven't been able to protect you completely" Marvin replied honestly.

"Did you not recognize me? I'm not a woman who relies on the protection of a man" Davina said.

"I understand you so much, baby. I also know my wife is a tough woman" said Marvin, peeping his wife's cheeks softly.

Not long after the two fell asleep in a position to hug each other.
