Damar POVs

"How to prepare a new product launch?" Randy my personal assistant walks beside me. The hallway to my private office is empty.

"Stay waiting for the packaging review and customer satisfaction survey results" said Randy. "This is our new product sampling file, later in the day, they ask you to see the product packaging for yourself and try it out" continued Randy. Randy has been my best friend since college. He chose to accompany me to build this business empire.

I slowly pushed the ice glass door in front of me and snuck in on Randy. I pulled out a long-necked black chair and slipped into a seat. Without me asking, Randy sat in front of my desk. I checked the documents that Randy presented a few seconds ago.

The creaking of the door made me distract myself. Who would dare to shift that door without knocking first. The door opened and showed who the perpetrator was that bothered me. The middle-aged woman who dressed up neatly in a grey suit. His left hand was holding a black branded bag for tens of millions.

"Mama ... Why did you suddenly come here?" I said to the woman who was now sitting on the dark blue sofa chair on the other side of the room. He put his expensive bag on the table. He looked at me with his special gaze.

"Do I have permission to see my own son first?" he said in a subtle tone. This woman! He knows when to annoy me.

"Hello, aunt, long time no see?" hello Randy nodded politely.

I pushed my black chair a little and slipped out. Turn around the table and join the woman who has been my darling since childhood.

"Why not call first" I said. "I can have Randy pick up mom" I said. Rany raised her left eyebrow. I just need to make an excuse.

"Mama's been calling you since morning, even your secretary says, you haven't arrived at the office yet" she said. "If your smart phone is suddenly stupid, throw it away! What ringtone doesn't make you deaf!" he still with annoyance. I wanted to laugh but seeing the hue of the face, my intention vanished instantly.

Randy laughed lightly at my mother's nagging. I glanced at him sharply and forced him to shut up.

"I didn't hear any phone calls" I said. I looked at Randy and asked him out of my study. He came out without a sound of understanding the meaning of my eyes.

"What's up now?" I said asking what Mama's arrival meant. I have too much memory of the woman who gave birth to me. He wants something.

"Alright, Mama just go straight, mama hope you obey your wishes this time, at least try first," he said looking at me fixedly. I smell trouble here. I'm so sure. Mom's request is not a trivial thing.

"Alright," I said trying to discuss with him. "The room wants to hear my mother's request, this time," I said before leaning my back against the sofa.

"Mama wants you to meet your friend's son, who knows you guys are a good fit" he said in a subtle tone. He expressed his intentions without blinking.

"I think you like it, right?" I was looking for certainty. I'm sure Mama likes that little rough snot girl. There was a breath stuck in my esophagus like the air had turned into invisible blocks that made me uncomfortable.

"Indeed," he admitted as he nodded slowly. He seemed to think of something.

"Then ..., "my insistence. I don't understand his way of thinking. Is the presence of Bening still less meaningful?

"What about Bening? Does he like you? You two in love?" continued. The question jolts me a little. Do I like Bening? Does Bening like me? I don't know.

"Listen to my mother, just this once," she said before I found my words. "Mama, want to see you happy, you are old enough to get married, you want to see you have a family" he continued.

Do you think I have no family?

"Ma .. I and Bening don't want to rush," my pretext adds to one lie. Mama shook her head.

"When are you going to be like this? Marriage is worship, it must be hastened," he advised.

It's easy for my mom to say.

"Yes, I understand, but ..., "

"Mama's got three candidates for you, meet them in a month. Mama will set her schedule" she said in a firm voice. "You meet them first, then decide" he continued.

"What about Bening?" my many.

"Stop playing around as if you were in a relationship. I've been your mother for thirty years, you can't lie to me" she said in a disappointed tone.

"At least give me time ...," I said at once. I just need to delay the time as much as possible. That fucking match-making time.

"I don't know ...," I said honestly. Mama looked at me with a pity look.

"Good, that means you have to obey your mother's decision," he said.

"But, Ma ..., "

"Nothing but-but, this is for your own good,"

"Tante, here's the drink" Randy returned with a cup of green tea on the tray. Where did he get the tea?

"Thank you" he said sincerely. "Randy, I need to clear up three dates for Damar in the next three weeks. At least once a week I'd like Damar to go see the aunt's chosen girl" he told Randy. Randy rolled his eyes while looking at me.

"Well, auntie," said Randy obediently.

"Make sure this kid comes or you I fire" he threatened. Randy's face turned deathly pale.

"Ready aunt,"

"Broom, you can't find the love you want if you don't open your own heart. True love is not found but is formed by two people who fill each other's shortcomings and strengths" he advises before rising up.

Without drinking the green tea that Randy brought, Mama shuffled from her seat. He pulled the bag on the table and sauntered away.

"Your mother, it's scary" she said, sitting on her couch and sipping her own tea. "But, he's very wise" he said. I exhaled violently. Breathing that since a few minutes ago tightens the chest.

"Your mother still wants to betroth you?" he said before leaning. "I think you've got a date" she continued. He ignored the battle in my mind.

"Mom knows I lied."

"liying? Lying how?" he was more excited. His eyes glinted waiting for the next sentence to come out of my mouth.

"I'd be lying if I had a girlfriend, a date" I said in one breath.

"Why don't I know ..., "his comment before leaning on the back of the sofa. I pulled a square-shaped pillow and threw it at Randy. So, what's your plan?" coined.

"You think?"
