Damar: Love Is On The Way

Damar: Love Is On The Way

Pinnacle POV

The soft shining sun barged in through the glass with thin white curtains as its barrier. The white light beam is still able to penetrate into the room, making the room bright without lighting. I always dreamed of having a house with big windows. Now I have to be grateful for the apartment I live in. At least I still have a cute-sized window so that there is sunlight coming into the room.

This apartment has one main room, bathroom, living room and a small kitchen without a partition. The living room that I use more often as a movie room because there is a flat television attached to the wall.

A special room to unwind after working all day. Sacred place's.

Like this time, Sunday I spent watching the beloved anime that has ended aka marathon again or which is currently airing. If you are lazy to watch, of course read comics.

I sat on the couch with my legs crossed. Oval-shaped wall clock hanging loosely on the wall. His short needle pointed at the number eight while his long needle pointed at the number five.

I took the remote tivi and pressed the on button, as soon as the light turned on the face of the artist who was not familiar to me at the gossip show Sunday morning.

I was about to stand when the bell on the door rang. I ignored it, maybe I was wrong to hear it because there was no way anyone would have visited my apartment this early. The jihan? No way, I thought to brush off Jihan's shadow behind the door.

I pulled one of the pendrils I put in the jar and put it on the tivi. Press the usb input button and select a movie collection. Then the flash display appears on the screen. I pressed a few buttons until I found the anime folder, pressed the ok button and then came up with some anime collections that I had. There are SAO and Naruto and Naruto shippuden. Finally, I chose SAO.

After pressing the ok button comes a list of SAO episodes. After making sure the first episode was turned around I sat back on the sofa and put the remote tivi on the table.

Sayub-sayub I heard the bell ring again. I played down the sound of tivi and heard the same bell. The bell sounded loud at the door.

I walked up to the door and put my ears on the door, the sound of the bell was heard more clearly. There was someone behind the door who sounded impatient as it pressed back against the bell.

Who's been visiting so early?

I opened the door and found Damar standing in the doorway. I looked at him in disbelief. The bronze man looked back at me.

"Can I come in?" tanyanya is impatient. How could this man stand at the door of my apartment.

"No!" I said after a few seconds of daydreaming. I stood in the crack of the door that was slightly open and blocked his intentions.

Damar pushed my body and barged in, ignoring my words.

"Hey ...," my protest did not make Damar abandon his intention. He went to the sofa where I was sitting a while ago. I sighed softly before closing the door and walking over to her and folding both of my hands on my chest. He was too comfortable sitting on that gray sofa. Both eyes stared at the television screen that was showing Kirito's face. Sao Players.

"How did you know I lived here?" My investigation. I don't remember saying anything. Moreover, the residence and apartment number and what floor except ...

"You yourself told me that time," said Damar flatly ignoring my cruel gaze.

I rolled my eyeballs and cursed in my heart. He even casually rested his back on the sofa. That good memory makes me unhappy.

"You still watch kids cartoons?" ask him in a mocking tone. I looked at him without answering. I like watching cartoons or not, it's my hobby, not his.

He did not feel the dark aura that suddenly enveloped him. Insensitive!

"I don't owe you any more" I said still standing. I hope Damar understands that I didn't expect his presence on a nice Sunday morning. At least, before the man wearing this plain white t-shirt came along and ruined my Sunday morning plans.

I want to scream and chase him away right now, but how to do it. I don't want him to see me angry or anything. Duh .. why did I even think about what Damar was thinking. It is clear where these emotions come from.

"My mom called, no. It's actually a video call," she told me. He lifted his face and looked at me.

"Then ... "

"I need your help,"

"I don't see any connection, between your mother's video call with me," I said. I convey reasonable logic about that.

"Actually there is .." he said hesitantly. I looked at him silently and let Damar continue his sentence. "Actually, I said, I was with you, when my mother asked me to accompany her shopping. And, when mom said she wanted to see you, I lied that you were going to the bathroom." His eyes did not shake. He told me the truth and what made me dislike this handsome man was the fact that I was made into a shield.

I managed to swipe slowly. Forgetting the existence of the man who now raised one eyebrow. Damnit damnit! My emotions are back.

"That's your business, I don't have any responsibility for your lies" I said resentfully knowing the purpose. Why did he re-engage me in a deliberately fabricated lie? Didn't he already knew one lie would end up with another lie that was endless. Like a vicious circle.

"I know, but my mom insisted on talking to you, it seems like mom likes you" she said in a subtle tone. Is he going to seduce? Not mempan! I've already ingested an immune potion for today. He straightened his back.

I rolled my eyeballs in response to Damar's last sentence. For the second time I cursed.  I'm not responsible if his mother likes me, it's a personal right. I also have the right not to respond.

"What's your problem?" tanyaku. "First you asked for help to accompany you to dinner, then now you ask me to answer a video call from your mother. Honestly, I don't want to get involved in your personal matters" I said honestly. I don't want any misunderstanding between us, me, Damar, and of course his mother.

"I know, but you have to help me just this once" he said in a pleading tone.

"At that time, you said the same thing!" I said remind. "Wouldn't it be better, you're being honest with your mother, a lot of good things will happen if you're honest" I suggested.

Damar laughed dryly at my comment.

"So, you think marrying a stranger would be a good thing, right?" this time Damar looked me in the eye. I shrugged my shoulders to respond. I don't have an answer.

"You can get to know each other after marriage. A lot of marriages start with happy matchmaking and I hear they're grateful for it" I said trying to give a positive picture of matchmaking. I don't know, I'm just trying to think positively. Is not the most important vision in marriage itself the most important. Two people can survive on a household ark because they have the same goal in marriage. Difference is not an excuse. Men and women are different in all aspects. Even since being born into the world.

"What if you're the one in my position?" Damar's question made me realize that Damar was still in my apartment. Sitting on the gray sofa while those black eyes never left me.

"If I were ..," I said hanging. I thought of the right words. Not cornered nor impressed pretentious. "Perhaps, I will consider it, after all our parents, it is impossible to just get us married without seeing who we want to marry, if interested further, if not back off, if not back off, it's that easy."

Damar laughed softly.

"If the betrothed were you, I'd think about it" he commented, laughing.

After I said all my head, Damar laughed at me. It sucks! I want to drive away the man who's back leaning his back to the couch.

I looked annoyed and turned my body. I have to disappear in front of him or I have to throw him out. The first choice makes more sense.

I stopped my first move for a moment because Damar pulled my wrist. He stood up from his seat. I looked at my hand held by his firm hand. My heart jumped in surprise. Yes, being surprised is nothing else.

"Where are you going?"

"Disappeared ... "

"Wait!" he said he cut me off when his phone rang. Damar pulled the phone out of his pants pocket. It's my chance to escape because Damar took my hand off.

I walked slowly, trying my best not to make a sound.

I cursed back when Damar clutched my wrist. It will be hard for me to escape.

"Mrs .... " I heard Damar whisper. I glared at him and he ignored him. He jerked my body until I fell on the couch and sat nearby. Our bodies are squeaking. I heard another rumbling sound inside my chest. The roar that had just disappeared reappeared.

"Hello Ma ..." Damar stared at the screen of his cellphone that had been lit and displayed the face of the half-century-old woman. I heard the delicate voice of the woman who was now smiling.

Damar came back to see me.

I was too focused on the voice and face of the mother amber to realize my sitting position. Damar's body was too close for my comfortable position. I could even feel the radiant heat of his body temperature slowly creeping into my own body.

"Related ..." The soft voice of the middle-aged woman caught my attention. I looked at him and ignored my heart that was beating so badly. Maybe because I was nervous talking to her mom. Yeah, like that time.

"Yes aunt?" I tried once again to sit comfortably on the gray sofa in the living room. I glanced at Damar's hand placed on the back of the sofa. His face was casually staring at the screen of his flaming phone. He didn't even feel guilty for making me uncomfortable in my own apartment. And I couldn't lean back against the couch because Damar's arm was against him. I offered a faint smile to the woman.

"Sorry baby, auntie didn't mean to bother you," she said subtly, her tone showing sincerity.

"No, aunt," I said. "Damar said, auntie wants to talk to me?" ask me without wasting time. I want Damar out of his apartment immediately.

"Tante wants to invite you to his second aunt's aqiqa, next week, how do you want to come?"

"Just try, aunt, but Bening can't promise" I said diplomatically. I don't want to refuse but I don't want to promise either.

"Alright, no papa," he said a little disappointed. "Damar, you go home, tonight!"

"The room wants to go with Bening, Ma ...," he said. I looked at him sharply. "Yes, right, baby?" this time Damar glanced at me while commenting on a smile. His left hand was now hugging my body, pulling my body closer. I can't believe it. I was too surprised to put the word together. I just smiled at the woman on the screen.

"Yes, my mom won't bother you" said her mother. The face of the lady disappeared when the connection was cut off.

"Dating? Who's going to date you?" said Bening shuffled from the sofa.

"Mama said 'date', I just said I was going, '" she defended herself.

I lost my words. This man, if I had the heart to hurt that handsome face of God, would have been thrown from the window of the apartment since he stepped in a moment ago.

"I'm thirsty, maybe, you have a drink" he said. He keeps his smartphone in the pocket of his long jogging pants with his shirt.

"Nothing is free in this world" I said sarcastically. "Jer basuki mawa beya[1]." Imbuhku.

"What's? Jer .... Jer what?"

"Now go, you interrupt my morning week," I gently push.

"You sure, don't regret expelling me," he said in a teasing tone.

"A hundred and one percent" I said steadily. "The door is over there."

"I'm gone, but don't regret it after this" he said, raising both hands and rising. He walked towards the door, turned the doorknob and turned his head before sneaking out.
