Hello everyone? So what do you think of the second meeting of Damar and Bening? Y'all like? What would you do if you were in the right position? Please let me know how you feel when you read it.
Happy reading.
Pinnacle POV
Like a loving and caring man out there. Damar kept his own promise, picking me up like a couple. Despite having a chance to have a coachman debate with him, eventually, I gave up.
I wore a white tunic with rolled up sleeves because it was too long, combined with faded blue jeans and brown flat shoes. I think these clothes are pretty polite. Remembering Damar said, I had to accompany him to dinner with his parents. I'm not sure what the purpose is? According to the information that Damar gave me, he needed my help so that his parents would stop looking for a bride for him. Human shielding's. I stared at my reflection in the mirror for the umpteenth time. Not bad.
I don't know why his parents had to find a bride. With his beautiful face, it is not difficult to get a partner. There will be many girls willing to queue up for him. Who is not interested in a handsome man? If you can be honest, he also wants a handsome man who is ready to propose to him but he knows for sure the capital looks alone will not be enough to build a dream family.
Now, I'm praising him. Never mind, this is the last time I'll meet him. Besides, I promised to help her after getting back my ID and SIM. I just kept my promise and helped myself. Damar has also returned my ID card and SIM. At least, he was honest about what he said and after tonight, I don't need to see him again. I'll delete and block the number if necessary.
The ringing sound of my cell phone made me have to end my inner debate. I found my phone lying on the dresser. I pulled it and saw the name Damar appear on the screen.
"long life," I told myself I found Damar's name on the screen. I was just thinking about it and he called me. "perfect. Looks like we have an inner bond," Damn it! I snorted in annoyance at my phone that was still ringing. I put the phone on my left ear after touching the answer button.
"Yes?" answer me after the connection is connected. I waited for a few seconds before I heard his heavy voice.
"I'll wait in the lobby!" then the connection broke. I didn't get to say anything. I stared intently at my dead phone. I cursed him, Wherever he is now only God knows. Really sucks. Did he expect I'd go downstairs right away after knowing he was waiting for me in the lobby? Impossible, too cheap. I snorted in annoyance and put my phone back on the dresser. Staring at my twin shadow in the mirror, that grim face was less unsightly.
I glanced at my dead phone before pulling it and putting it in the bag. I made sure once again that the impromptu wasn't too excessive or vice versa and put on my best smile. Appearing with sour face water is certainly not good.
For the last time I looked at my reflection in the mirror. I rolled up the tunic arm I wore a few times until my silver watch was visible.
I pulled the bag beside the dresser and walked out of the room. I took a glass of drinking water on the kitchen table and took a sip and put it back on the table. Recalling Damar, my emotions suddenly overflowed for unclear reasons. I was angry, upset and now nervous. My heart kicked an indistinct rhythm that made me uncomfortable and seemed to want to jump.
I turned off the lights before going out and made sure my apartment door was locked.
Using the elevator, I arrived at the lobby in no time.
I found Damar sitting in one of the chairs and was playing his phone. Other than Damar, there were only guards standing guard.
"Ha .. hi. ..," I said a little awkwardly. He lifted his face, glancing at me briefly before keeping his phone in his pants pocket.
"Oh .. hi. ..," he said as he stood up. "Are you ready?" He swept his eyes at me from head to toe and then came back and stopped in my face.
I rolled my eyeball in response. I was standing in the lobby, in front of his nose and he asked me if I was ready?
"You think ...," I replied. He smiled back at my words.
I furrowed my brows seeing him walking towards the parking lot under the building. Is it possible ... shouldn't his car be in front of the lobby? Holy hooch! There's no way he's staying here, too?
"Come ..," he said when he found out I was still standing at my place. I fell awkwardly and followed her steps towards the side door. The only door connecting the lobby and the parking area under the building.
I saw the car I hit, no, rather, the car that kicked to vent my frustration parked not far from the lobby side door. What kind of car is this .... Doesn't he have a taste for a cooler car like a sports car in general? Or a nice family car. This is the first time I've ever seen and climbed into this type of car. From the logo on the front I saw there was a Jeep logo but not the type of Jeep that I knew the name was like Rubicon or Wrangler. Odd taste.
My best record is riding my boss's BMW X5. A good car feels different. It is not sweet like sugar or other foods but it tastes good when driving it. No engine noise or other noise that can get into the car.
"Come on!" once again Damar called me. I've been daydreaming a lot since I met Damar. I opened the car door without saying anything.
Beyond my shadow, it turns out this car is far more comfortable than I expected. Damar was angry when his car was scratched. The Dashboard display is elegant and sporty with black dominating.
"Wear the belt!" damar advised as I was busy admiring the interior of the car. Maybe if I had a lot of money, I'd buy a car like this too. Car with elegant interior design. I have to work hard to make it happen.
I put on my seat belt without a sound. Damar started the car engine and drove it slowly leaving the parking lot under the building.
From behind the window, I could see the sky was still bright with orange color began to decorate the afternoon sky. Of course, the beautiful scenery out there cannot be fooled that the city is still hot even though the sky has rested from its duties. Illuminate earth.
It is different with my village. I even have and often take a bath every two days because it is cold. Not only is the water cold like ice, even the floor of our house is also cold. I always wear sandals to get rid of the cold.
And now I miss my home, my mother. It's all because of Damar. I glanced at him briefly. His gaze focused on driving his car without caring about me. He didn't even ask me to make small talk or anything. Of course, his attitude managed to make my heart heat up because of annoyance.
I need to call Mom after this.
If only yesterday, I accepted Damar's offer. This car is definitely mine. Now, I regret ignoring his offer and just choosing this worthless ID card and SIM. At least the price is not as fantastic as Damar cars.
However, if I accept the offer, it's useless, I can't drive yet. Anyway, I'm .... If my mom knew I had a car like this, my mom would ask me where and how much it cost. Then, if I tell you about this car from Damar .... I'm not sure how my mom reacted. My mother could misunderstand. You can laugh happily or even ask strange things.
Like most other mothers in the world, my mother wants me to be happy. Getting married to a rich man is one of his prayers.
Yes son, I pray you get a rich husband.
I remember that one sentence. I think I understand my mother's concern for me. I just want me not to end up like that. Married his senior in college who was a widower with one child and lived in the village.
Why am I thinking of something unimportant?
After all who wants to marry a man like Damar but I'm sure there are many, handsome and successful, except for his cold demeanor.
When I first met her, she seemed to want to eat me. I still wonder why he didn't report me to the police back then rather than arguing with the coachman.
"It's here" Damar said, pulling me back from my wild daydream. I was watching my surroundings. I let out a sigh of relief after seeing Damar's car in someone's yard, but maybe .... I shook my head slowly trying to shake the creepy shadows in my mind. "Let's get off" Damar continued down from the car. I hallucinated too much.
I ventured with all my might. There's no way Damar tricked me. At least, his face was not like a swindler.
Even if you cheat, do you know?
There was another voice in my head.
Damar tapped on the windshield and smiled sweetly while I still hadn't gotten out of the car. Maybe I saw the wrong thing let alone the sky turning dark.
All right, no fraud.
Once again I braced myself before getting out of the car.
Damar smiled gently making my heart dance. Not likely. Maybe because I'm nervous. Yeah, every time I get nervous, my heart beats like this.
"Come," this time Damar extended his hand.
"Yes" I said walking ahead. I was afraid, he would hold my hand. Maybe I'm too confident. I came to this house to be her best friend, not her pretended boyfriend.
I flinched and stopped stepping when I felt Damar's hand holding mine. Yeah, big hands are holding my hands. The heat flow of his body moved to me slowly and made my cheeks heat up. He had not even hooked his fingers yet but had already managed to make a rumble in my chest. He may be afraid that I am lost and lead me.
I looked at him and then turned to look at his hand that was holding mine.
"I think this is necessary, in order for my mother ...," he explained as if he could read my mind.
"You know, people who are really in love don't ...," I said protesting. It is true that two people who love each other will look like their aura even without holding hands. And I'm just telling you the truth that I'm not the one Damar loves. I came to this house just to accompany her to dinner with her parents. As friends. Not more.
I sighed softly. Why do I feel a little disappointed by the reality I just revealed myself. It's like a bomb.
Damar glanced at me and took my hand off.
"Alright ..," he said raising both his hands. I rolled my eyeballs, pissed. "Come ...," he added before walking ahead.
I followed his footsteps. Cut off any feelings that suddenly appear. I have to get through tonight with no feelings left. Because after tonight there will be no more Damar. Point.
After saying his greeting Damar opened the door of his house. Did he not lock his house? I don't even remember how we got past that tall fence because it was too busy daydreaming.
I was amazed to see the interior design of his house. I've never seen it with my own eyes except in photographs. The chandelier looks luxurious and expensive, then the blue and gray sofa looks to match the interior design. I was too busy watching the interior of his house that I accidentally hit Damar's back.
"I'm sorry ..," I said softly, bowing my head in shame at my own stupidity.
"Ma, introduce this is Clear" Damar said as he pulled my arm until I stood next to him. I raised my face and saw a graceful looking middle-aged woman wearing a white tunic combined with black cloth pants.
"Hello, auntie, Bening" I said as I reached out.
"Hello, baby," welcome Mamma Damar. I was surprised when Mamma Damar pulled me into her arms. I was too surprised to return her warm embrace. "Tante was happy, finally able to meet you," he continued pulling my body away from his embrace.
"Thank you aunt ...." I put on the best smile. I don't know what to say but thank you. I glanced at Damar asking for help.
"Ma .. don't scare Bening" said Damar. I saw the look on his mother's face turned disappointed and hurt before forcing a small smile.
"Sorry, yes, dear, aunt is too happy," he said regretfully. I can't bear to see it. Damar was too rude to his mother.
"Yes, auntie, Bening is also happy to meet aunty." I really mean what I say. I'm glad to see Damar's mother. For reasons I don't know, I like this woman.
"Let's have another wait, aunty cook special tonight, Damar's favorite cuisine," his mother Damar again voiced. "Come ...," Let him leave the living room.
I glanced at Damar who was standing silently beside me. He looked back at me and said softly.
"My mother .. sometimes too emotional." I waited for Damar to finish his sentence. But there is no. After he said that. He walked into the dining room and left me.
I'll catch up with him soon. I don't want her mother to misunderstand me either. I don't know what Damar told his parents about me.
The dining table was full, when I arrived a few minutes after Damar sat in his chair. There are two men. I think it's Damar's father and brother, if I don't guess wrong. At least the man sitting next to the young woman was too old to be her sister. He looks at me greedily.
I smiled awkwardly.
"Sit down" said the old man. When viewed from the looks of it, it is not wrong again, he must be the father of Damar.
I watched for a glimpse, his face still looking handsome. It was clear that Damar inherited his father's genes.
"Thank you" I said, taking a seat beside Damar.
"Ma, pa, Mas indra, mbak Lani, introduce this Bening," Damar told his family.
"We'd better eat first, we'll talk later," Damar's father cut off.
I hope this night goes by quickly. I don't want to be interrogated by the Damar family.
