Pinnacle POV
"Just be quiet, I'll drive you home, yeah," Leon said that afternoon as I reached the end of the door. I stopped my steps and turned my head around and found Leon standing not far from his office door. His backpack was hanging on one of his shoulders. I thought he would avoid me after that shameful incident. It's actually not too embarrassing, anyway, I just think positively about the healthy relationship between a man and an adult woman. That sentence wasn't for Leon. Only Nola likes the bucket and gulps down my every sentence.
"There's something I want to talk about" he added in a subtle, almost inaudible voice. It's just, I heard it very clearly. He scratched the back of his neck. His lips rose slightly forming a curved line.
"okay." I pulled the doorknob that had been delayed and slipped out. The office was deserted because my co-workers had gone home first except for the faithful receptionist at his desk. He was the employee who came home last and first time to open and lock the office.
Good, at least I have reason to reject Damar's offer. Do I have to send him a message not to send the driver? Maybe not necessary, not necessarily he remembered his promise this morning but what if the promised driver showed up?
"My car, right there," I'm Leon who's standing next to me. I raised my face a little to look at her.
He walked slowly with his long legs and I followed him. I found Leon's red Nissan Juke parked in the corner. A metallic black sedan was also parked some distance away, near the exit. A man in a black uniform leaned against the car. He saw my presence and smiled as if he knew me or waited for me. Is that maybe the driver Damar sent? I have to make sure.
"Leon, wait a minute, I have to make sure of something" I said. I glanced at the black sedan parked near the exit of the shophouse. Leon followed my line of sight. I stepped out of Leon without waiting for an answer.
"I'm sorry, sir, there's something I can help you with" I asked politely when I got close to a man my father's age. He pulled the hump away from the black car and straightened his body which began to bend inedible age.
"Yes, I'm waiting, Mr. Bening," he said with the courtesy of a loyal officer.
"The room that sent, Father?" many guessed. The man who had gray paron hair nodded slowly. So, Damar actually sent a driver to pick me up. Does he remember his promise? The chest warms for unclear reasons.
"Yes, Mommy?" he said slowly. "Go home now, Ma'am?" before moving his steps. His sturdy hands that were beginning to wrinkle touched the car's doorknob. Pull it slowly until it opens.
"Sorry, sir, I'm going home with a friend" I said, glancing at Leon standing next to his car. "Father just go home, let me tell Damar!" my soot. The old man smiled awkwardly.
"But, Ma'am," he said objected. "Sir, Damar can scold me" he admitted with a cloudy face.
"Father calm down, Damar will not be angry, I also still have activities outside, kasian father if you wait a long time," I said trying to persuade him. There's no way I'm gonna let him wait for me for hours, Kasian.
"It's okay, Ma'am, it's my job" he said.
"Yes, wait a minute, yeah! I want to tell Damar first."
I pulled the smart phone inside my sling bag and called Damar. I walked some distance so he wouldn't hear my conversation with Damar.
"Hello, it's me," I said so connected. "Damar, your driver is in front of my rukoku, but I have to get out with Leon so I can't go home with your driver." There's no answer. I waited for a few seconds but there was still no response. Did he not heed my words. I snorted in annoyance before returning to my voice. "The room? hey are you still there? yeah, I've, I'm closing, but remember don't scold your driver, got it!" I glanced at the screen at a glance before pressing the red button. My ears emit invisible smoke.
I put my black phone back in the bag and walked up to the driver sent by the man who made me grumble.
"Sir, I've called Damar, you can go home now," I said gently.
"But, Ma'am ...," he protested.
"I'm sorry, sir, but, I have to go," I said then twisted my body and left it.
"Who?" ask Leon. His eyes passed through my head that was not high enough to block his gaze. He looked at the old man who had just entered the metallic black sedan.
"Oh, that, people ask for addresses," I said. I don't know why I lied to Leon. I just don't want Leon speculating about me. Anyway .. ah, never mind, I don't want to bother thinking about Damar who managed to piss me off. It's the first time I've called her and seen the results, I'm upset myself.
"We, stop by to eat first, okay?" said Leon. He opened the car's automatic lock until a special sound was heard. "You don't mind, do you?" he looked into my eyes. This is the first time I've seen her eye bead for a long time. I nodded slowly before following his steps opening the car door and sneaking in.
After starting the engine, Leon turned his car back slowly and then turned it around leaving the office parking lot. The metallic black sedan Damar was driving had already disappeared from view.
The afternoon streets are crowded with many motor vehicles. I glanced at Damar, damn why is my head filled with his name. I sighed softly glancing at Leon who was concentrating on his steering wheel. Driving is different than Damar. Duh, why Damar again? Maybe it's because I wanted to curse him but I don't know where he is? He didn't even answer my phone. He answered, it was just that he let me babble without telling me and it pissed me off.
Without realizing it, the car I was riding in turned towards a restaurant. Leon turns off the car engine when his red Juke car managed to park neatly and then pushed slowly the car door. He lowered his legs and slipped out. I followed her step out of the car.
"Come on," asked Leon to enter the restaurant. His long footsteps made me walk fast.
Leon chose to sit in the middle of the room. The only empty table left.
"What did you order?" tanyakanya.
"I'm not familiar with Japanese cuisine, so it's up to you" I told Leon.
"Teryaki chicken salad and ume sashimi mori, two servings, yes, mbak," he told the waiter wearing a red apron. The male servant records Leon's order on the booklet. "In addition to ocha," added Leon. He nodded slowly before disappearing.
"What do you want to talk about," I asked to open the topic. "Regarding the project at istora senayan?"
"No," he replied awkwardly. He shifted his body to improve his sitting position. "Actually another matter" he admitted. I caught her one hand touching the back of her neck. His face changed too.
Both of my eyebrows are linked. I stared at him without blinking and waited for the next sentence.
"Just like you, I like you" he said in a soft voice. "I might, love you," he said again in the same tone.

Yeay ....
Finally, Leon didn't I too if he had special feelings for Bening? Then how is the response clear?
You remember, right? In previous chapters Bening had expressed his feelings about Leon. Do you feel the same for Leon? What about Damar?
