Episode 142 - Mickey's Daddy
Thirty minutes had passed and Micheal was still giggling with Firda, the two people were like close friends who talked about many unimportant things even adults never thought of. Gabriel was even surprised because Firda could talk to Micheal who was a child and Gabriel's cell phone battery was even lowbat actually but Michael still wanted to continue talking to his beautiful aunt. What else Firda shows a very beautiful village scenery and there are also many children who play in front of his school.
"Gorgeous aunt, Mickey's going there.." whine. That made Angeline snort, and since thirty minutes ago, Gabriel still had not spoken to her because Gabriel was accompanying Michael who was talking to Firda.
"Begging Mommy's permission first yes." said Firda and Micheal immediately stared hard at her mother.
"Mom, can you? There's a beautiful view, Mom.." Whine.
"We will go there." replied Gabriel ahead of Angeline who made both of Angeline's eyes widen perfectly.
"No" he asserted, "Micheal cannot go to the village." he said.
"I'm his father and I have the right to take him away" said Gabriel half-whispered and deliberately used English so that Micheal did not catch his intention but his guess was wrong, Micheal understood his intentions and it made him have questions over what Gabriel was saying, while Firda's facial features seemed uncomfortable because like he had said something he shouldn't have.
"You are my father?" micheal asked innocently and it made Gabriel surprised, while Angeline just put on her cold face and she knew where her son's English skills were at the age of 5 years.
Gabriel looked at Angeline confusedly, he did not know what to answer while Firda also looked confused.
"Mickey, later the beautiful Aunt calls again yes.." Firda's voice is made as cheerful as possible, heard, Gabriel knew Firda wanted to end her call for sure because she didn't want anyone between her and Angeline to talk about child rights. Gabriel took his cell phone and he put his smile on Firda.
"Darling, I'll call you again..."
"Yes, Bang. Take care of yourself..."
"Yes, you too. I Love you, Assalamualaikum, my sunshine"
"Greetings, Brother Gabriel"
Gabriel calls his maid and orders her to charge her cell phone in her room.
"You guys take Micheal to play" he said.
"Okay, sir." replied the waiter.
"You haven't answered my question, Om is handsome." cried Micheal who makes Gabriel confused, between being upset because Micheal is stubborn like him or proud because his son is smart enough. Likewise with Angeline, he is still not ready if he has to tell Micheal the truth but he also does not know what else to lie to his son.
"Yes, Son. I am your father." he said then full of confidence, Angeline just had to hear Gabriel's answer. He looked at Gabriel and Michael alternately, during this various lies Angeline said to cover up the biological father of Micheal and Gabriel easily claimed to be Michael's father?
Angeline and Micheal were equally speechless waiting for Micheal's response, while Micheal still closed his lips tightly shut and his gaze was still straight looking at Gabriel's two eyes.
"Isn't this good news?" her question was then followed by a big smile, making Gabriel and Angeline flabbergasted.
"Mickey.." said Angeline.
"So, now Mickey has Daddy? Is this Daddy Uncle, too, or is it a real Daddy like Mickey's friend?" ask Mickey enthusiastically. Knowing she had a biological father like her made her very happy and Gabriel who saw that happiness felt so moved.
Gabriel got off the sofa, knelt down in front of Micheal and held Micheal in his arms.
"Daddy.." said Micheal, who made Gabriel instantly shed his tears. She was so happy and moved, and she recalled the first time Firda asked her to pray, Firda said God would grant her prayers and one by one Gabriel's prayers were answered. Now Micheal's been hugging her, and calling her Daddy. Gabriel hugged Micheal so tightly and his sense he impatiently wanted to tell Firda this news.
Angeline who saw Gabriel shed her tears so shocked that she made her heart full, Angeline could see the happiness of Gabriel and Michael who were currently hugging so tightly.
"Call Daddy one more time, my son.." Gabriel's request tightened his embrace.
"Daddy.." call Micheal who makes Gabriel feel the euphoria in his heart.
"Good boy..." Gabriel broke his embrace and Micheal looked surprised when he saw Gabriel shedding tears.
"Daddy why are you crying? Daddy doesn't like being Mickey's Daddy?" her questioning with her sad gaze, while her small hands wiped away Gabriel's tears making Gabriel smile.
"It's happy tears, son. Daddy was so happy to be Mickey's Daddy." Gabriel said, which made Micheal smile and Angeline too.
"Yes... Mickey already has Daddy.." cried Micheal jumping up in excitement, then he ran a small run while circling the sofa and kept giggling gleefully. Gabriel even now plays running with Micheal, not only that, now they play horseback. Micheal rode Gabriel and Gabriel became his horse. Gabriel crawled on the floor and both of them laughed happily.
Gabriel's tiredness because of his problems and work is like yawning instantly, now there is only happiness. Gabriel promised himself that he would give his best to Micheal, as well as to Firda. Because it was Firda's blessing that he felt happiness that he had never even imagined all this time.
"Lord, it turns out that You are indeed present and loving. And do you still grant the prayer of your servant bathed in the mud of sin? How could? God, you are so amazing, thank You for sending Firda to me, being a lantern in the darkness of my life. Introducing me to you, mediating my meeting with my son. It's amazingly beautiful... "
