ENDLESS HALLWAY

ENDLESS HALLWAY
CHAPTER 14: RETURN HOME

The bus, which Cindy was travelling from Lampung to Bandung, broke down repeatedly because the engine was too old. Every time the bus stopped to be repaired, the dizziness in Cindy's head throbbed. He wants to get to the Bandung terminal.

Because from the bus terminal still have to take the omprengan colt to reach the village. For Cindy, whatever happens must be faced

with a strong feeling. Almost all the way to the village, Rangga's speech always buzzed in his ears. You must be strong...! Must be Cindy's steadfast.

A sense of resentment and wanting to vomit piled up in his throat. How exhausting and annoying during the trip. If only Rangga was beside him, this trip might turn exciting.

Finally with exhausting saturation to arrive at the destination. Cindy rushed down from the ompregan colt while topping a small suitcase. Long Cindy was dumbstruck after the old colt moved away. In a horse-drawn carriage, Cindy then made her way to her home. The rice field that runs to the right left of the road looks golden yellow. The towering mountain is bluish green depicting a natural monument.

The lonely village streets made the feeling so bad. More felt lonely again by Cindy, during the journey of the coachman horse carriage it happened to be very quiet. Or maybe afraid to invite chat because the girl who rode the horse-drawn carriage was too beautiful.

After the horse-drawn carriage entered the village where

Cindy was born and raised, one two people nodding their omens to know her. The sense of loneliness that Cindy had been feeling was a little comforted. But not enough to be impregnated. The closer to home, the more eyes pay attention to Cindy. And more mouths whispering to each other about Cindy.

A half-old woman spit near the horse-drawn carriage that passed her. Cindy closed her eyes and tried to resist the shock of the feeling that was pounding her chest. As Cindy knocked on the door, her legs trembled. Once or twice the door of the house kept on knocking. Many of his left-right neighbors watched while whispering. I don't know what they're talking about. They are obviously very cynical. Cindy wants to get inside the house. It was fortunate that the door of the house was immediately opened and in front of Cindy stood a haired girl in a horse centipede.

"Zahra!." call Cindy with eyes beaming with longing. The moment the girl looked at Cindy, then they hurriedly hugged each other tightly.

"Sister Cindy... " Murm Zahra is full of novelty.

"You're okay, aren't you?" Ask Cindy lirih.

"Well, like what you see. Come on in, brother." Reply Zahra.

Cindy complies with her sister's invitation. But his steps suddenly stopped and his whole body was cold when he saw a half-old man whose face was already wrinkled. The man had just walked out of the middle room with steady steps. It was as if Cindy was facing a terrifying monster. He remembered Romeo. Cindy's eyes were wide. Cold sweat washed all over his body. His breathing and heart rate were like being snatched, breaking up. And the wrinkled-faced, half-old man was standing upright not even two meters in front of Cindy. The feelings experienced by Cindy are not much different from the feelings of Zahra.

"Dad.." cried Cindy stuck.

His pair of wrinkled eyes narrowed instantly. Not what Cindy saw two years ago. His father's face looked fresh. But now it has turned sour and scary. Cindy could hardly believe what she was seeing. Quickly Cindy wanted to hug the man but the man's voice sounded scary.

"Stop right there..!" Said the man suddenly.

"Dad," Cindy half yelled.

"Who are you?!." The man Cindy called her father.

"Dad. I'm Cindy." Cindy's voice was gripped.

"I don't know you" his father replied with a blank look.

"Dad!." Cindy squealing.

"Go don't step on this house anymore." Reply father.

"My father is your son." Cindy made sure.

"I don't have a child like you!." Reply father.

Cindy immediately hugged Zahra and cried bitterly in the arms of her sister. I want him to scream loudly. I also want him to cry to his satisfaction. How cruel

this changed reality.

"Sister Cindy, open your heart." said Zahra.

"Dad no longer thinks of me as

his son." Cindy's voice was interrupted by her bitter sobs.

"You must be fully aware if the cause is reality sis." Zahra.

Cindy let go of her embrace and looked at her father who was still standing upright behind her. Slowly Cindy spread her arms ready to hug her father. But the man's eyes widened, frightening. Cindy lowered her hand slowly. Like no more power. And he understands all the issues. A terrible and frightening understanding.

"Dad, I miss you so much." Cindy said in a complaint.

The earth that Cindy was treading was felt to be shaking. But Cindy was not sure if the words came out of her heart.

"Don't say it's dad." Whimper Cindy groped.

"Once again you dare call me father, I'll kick you out!." Reply father.

The half-old man snapped with a dead red face and fiery eyes. Cindy's determination was unanimous, that she was willing to sacrifice for the sake of her parents. Hasn't Cindy been through all of this? He was more willing to be beaten by his father than Romeo. Then Cindy's courage grew round and hard.

"Well if you don't want me to call you dad. And I accept the fact that I will no longer be considered a child. But I came here to tell you that Romeo's matter will be heard. And I'm the one who received the subpoena from the prosecutor to answer the question." Cindy said firmly.

The half-old man frowned and his eyes were no longer as fiery as before. Empty and empty.

"Romeo?.. Romeo?.." he murmured softly.

The man seemed to remember something he had almost forgotten. Suddenly he nodded again.

"Don't mention the name of that bastard!." The sound of that beating shook Cindy's heart. And almost stopped his heart rate. His voice almost resembles a riddle. Cindy tried to calm her feelings.

"Romeo is dead." Cindy said flat.

"What??" The voice of the man is rising.

"Romeo is dead." Repeated Cindy steady.

Suddenly the man's laughter exploded. It was terrifying the sound of half man laughter

that old. Continue for two minutes until

until his breath is almost gone. After stopping

looks like a heavy breath. His chest felt tight. Then coughing.

"The bastard is dead.. Then what do you want to come here? sue me?" Hardik the man.

Cindy bit her lip withstanding the turmoil of her feelings that could not be expressed visuil. Because he knew that his father was no longer a normal man. Even his father could not control his true self. So what's he gonna do? Only at most Cindy let out a long sigh and looked at her father blankly.

"Say shithead !" The man growled and uncompromisingly again his kick floated into Cindy's stomach. The girl staggered back. Zahra tried to help but both fell to the floor at the same time. Apparently not satisfied until there. The man pulls Cindy's hand out of the house and is thrown outside. The girl fell dumbstruck on the terrace.

"Once again you dare step on the floor of this house, I'll kill you!." Threaten Cindy's father.

"Ooooooh cruel!." Curse Cindy while crying.

A moment of loneliness suffocated us. And there were just sobs Cindy and Zahra.

The old man's face was full of grudges and was disappointed looking at Cindy. Cindy no longer cared. Even dead, he was willing. But the man did not do any lag! just slam the door hard and lock it at once. The throbbing of the key like a booming thunderbolt broke the earth and the sky.

Immediately Cindy got up and hit the house's door dress many times with her palm A hysterical screech rang out from her mouth full of regret.

"Cruel! Kejaaam!."

A hand held Cindy's shoulder gently. That hand was none other than Zahra's

novelty. But Cindy continued to wriggle while crying bitterly.

"Here you are, brother. You must accept with self-understanding and fortitude. Isn't our father abnormal?"

Only then did Cindy turn her head and look at her brother's sad face. The face of a loving and understanding sister. Cindy came to her senses and hugged Zahra full of newness.

"Zahra, how bitter is this reality." Cindy Pile.

"We must be able to accept sincerely brother. Let's go to Grandma's. There you can rest well. Take care of your intentions and goals while waiting for the right time to talk to dad." Zahra lirih.

Cindy nodded her head heavily. His heart left that house. The two girls walked to her grandmother's house. Many of the neighbors eyes watching them passed. And their spies seemed to sneer at Cindy and be damned. They can't really think of themselves as Cindy. Because they don't really know what's going on in Cindy's real family. But their assumption is Cindy who has made her father to suffer from mental disorders. Let all eyes punish me with the meaning of damned. In the eyes of God, it is not damned.
