ENDLESS HALLWAY

ENDLESS HALLWAY
CHAPTER 81: THE MADMAN

With a heavy heart the security officer shifted the heavy gate. Just a little, enough for the two children to sneak in. The two thanked him, then ran quickly to the classroom.

Fortunately, the teacher has not arrived. Both entered the class with bodies wet with sweat but relieved to survive. The temptations of their classmates responded with just a whimper.

Congratulations to Balqis, but not to Cevin. During the first break, the man realized that he did not bring a Citizenship Education textbook!

"Campus me, Qis!" hiss Cevin. "My Citizenship Education Book is missing!"

"Yeah!" Balqis screeched restrained. "Couldn't you? Today the existing Citizenship Education is only our class, can not find a pinjeman." Balqis.

"That's why I'm confused, ck!" Cevin.

"Yes already. We used that way again. But don't pinch Kiki's book. It's not successful anymore." Balqis.

"Free!" Cevin. "What's missing is not just the printed book. Everything was. Catechism, Homework, exercise." Cevin.

"Haaaaa...!?" this time Balqis screeched loudly. "Sorry, did you deliberately not bring it anyway?" Balqis.

"Leave it!" cevin answered with an involuntary intonation. He refused to tell me why he forgot.

"Yes already. Meningan ntar lo honest with Bu Tika Kartini." proposed Balqis later.

Cevin manggeleng...!!!

"Free!" Cevin.

"Yes, anyway." Balqis nodded weakly. "So?"

"Passion. How are you gonna do it again?" Reply Cevin.

For Ms. Tika Kartini, not carrying the book Citizenship Education is an absolute offense. Although the story behind the book is not as dramatic as the story of Titanic or Siti Nurbaya, she does not care.

Not bring it, not bring it. The point!

"At that time, just don't bring a printed book, you're out of class. Now you don't just bring a printed book, but also a notebook, a Homework book, the same exercise book!" Balqis looked at his four fingers. Both of his eyes widened when he realized how serious the problem Cevin was facing. "It looks like you're getting kicked out of school!" Balqis.

Cevin glanced in annoyance, but did not become angry when he found anxious glare in Balqis eyes.

It turns out that Bu Tika Kartini still remembers that previously Cevin also never brought a book Citizenship Education. No wonder the truth. The difference, he used to think of it as a mild case or a general case, but now Bu Tika Kartini considers it a special case.

Because Cevin did not bring all books related to Citizenship Education, Ms. Tika Kartini emphasized the word "All" by calling it three times means Cevin is not interested in following his lessons. So with a heavy heart, he freed Cevin from Citizenship Education for one month.

A month?

What a wonderful life!

Really, swear! If only Citizenship Education is not one of the subjects whose grades must be blue in the report card. With this incident, Cevin is not sure as hard as he tried himself will have a chance to get a blue score.

Cevin has no idea how Irfan did it, or how all the events that have happened to him over the past two days are connected to his late brother. Today, his fate is more unlucky than yesterday.

Much more shit!

***

Still with the backpack slung on his back, Cevin stood there. Opposed pair of eyes Irfan who was in the framed photo. For a moment there is silence. Then Cevin spoke in a calm voice. Very calm. The kind of calm that usually occurs just before a storm.

"Now Balqis is with me. Not the same elo!"

***

The same sentence, the same attitude, repeated Cevin the next morning, just before leaving for school. Actual unnecessary action. One time, enough.

But twice, too much!

Cevin bailed on the whole house, then left. Not until he stood five minutes at the bus stop did he arrive. The bus never arrived at its destination. In the middle of the road, the passenger-laden bus broke down. All efforts made by the driver and his conductor did not succeed in making the vehicle's engine turn on.

Eventually the two men resigned and moved all passengers to buses on the same track. But it's rush hour. The entire public transport is in full condition. The first bus that passed by could only fit seven more people. The second bus was even worse, only three people were able to board. That was definitely at the door.

No doubt, every time a bus appears and stops in front, there is a push between passengers. All are riding. Cevin chose to give up. As a result, he was unable to pick up Balqis. The time is not enough. He had to call the girl. Ask him not to wait and go to school first. Actually, it made Cevin very anxious. But there's no other way.

When the next bus shows up, Cevin forces a ride because time is completely gone. Once at the destination stop, the guy immediately jumped down. The sidewalk was half-running, because the bell had run two minutes ago. But Cevin was relieved that Balqis had sent an SMS saying he had arrived at school. At least the girl wasn't late.

Cevin's half-run steps suddenly came to a halt. A man who seemed to be insane suddenly appeared from the corner in front of him. The man was skinny, shabby, dirty and his clothes were in tatters. On his head perched a broken helmet. But that's not what makes Cevin growl. Except for the thing held in the man's right hand.

Iron ruts!

The madman approached Cevin with glaring eyes and an angry face. "You want me abisin lo!?" his yell.

Cevin paled and was increasingly unable to move. The madman swung his iron club. For a moment Cevin thought he was dead, but one hand grabbed Cevin's left arm from behind.

"Run, moron!" the owner of the hand shouted and pulled him with a jolt.

Cevin. He turned back, following the hand that pulled him. Vishnu. Both run away. The madman chased while shouting and brandishing his iron club.

The two men were forced to climb over the fence of a house, then jump into his yard after three times the sound of the bell they pressed with a thump did not make a single person out.

Vishnu pale.

Cevin was paler.

The two hid behind the patio seats, peering towards the street. Soon the crazy guy showed up. They ran through the house where they were hiding. Still while screaming and brandishing the iron in his hold. After the madman's screams were no longer heard, only the two men breathed a sigh of relief.

"Bego, you!" snarled Vishnu later. "Not immediately run away! You could have died if you had been hit by a sabetage!" Vishnu again.

"There are never crazy people there. Why is there suddenly? So how come there's no police involved?" cevin's voice sounded floating. Instantly he remembered the sentence he had spoken twice in front of Irfan's photo.

"His name is also crazy, it likes to wander around." It stands. "Yeah, ah. Chivy. The hunter has a nongol house. We are supposed to help, again. It's too late anyway. Thankfully there is a good alesan!" Vishnu.

The two climbed back up the fence, jumped out and immediately ran towards the back.

After school, while walking back down the sidewalk to the stop with Balqis, Cevin watched his surroundings vigilantly. Balqis did the same, as did all the disciples who walked towards the stop. The incident that happened to Cevin and Vishnu this morning was indeed a crowded conversation.

Cevin breathed a sigh of relief after the bus they were waiting for came and the dangerous madman was nowhere to be seen at all.
