ENDLESS HALLWAY

ENDLESS HALLWAY
CHAPTER 25: THE SWEET BRAID

Morning is approaching. Sunlight began to rise on Cindy's face as soon as she flicked the curtains of her room. For a moment he looked at his two children who were still asleep. The sadness instantly filled his heart. This is the second day after her husband's death. No, no one has asked his children about their papah who never returned. But Cindy was sure that one day the kids would ask her that too. And he didn't know what answer to give

them.

For a moment the woman took her breath. Glanced at the wall clock that has shown six hours less than ten minutes. Ah, usually in these moments he was busy preparing breakfast for Mas Rangga. Then her husband

you will also enjoy fried rice as breakfast in the morning while occasionally commenting on how the taste of the cuisine that was cooked that day. And usually also the heart of Cindy flowered because Mas Rangga more praise how delicious the cuisine made rather than reproach.

Then after finishing eating, Mas Rangga will get ready to go to his office. And before leaving the house, he took the time to kiss his two children who were usually still asleep. Not to forget also he kissed the cheeks of his beloved wife who became impatient waiting for the time to pass until the afternoon came, where they could gather and joke again.

Cindy gulped down her bitter-tasting saliva as the shadows of their daily happenings played out again in her mind. Their happiness during this time was pure happiness that emanated from the bottom of their hearts. The household they had built for more than five years had become a happy and unbreakable rope of love. Until then born sweet children who become the fruit of their love.

Never Cindy can forget how firm the establishment of Rangga who is more willing to leave life only to marry himself who is in a state of persecution in poverty and have nothing. When her mind reached this point, Cindy could no longer hold back her tears. Haru and happy felt surrounded his heart considering how Mas Rangga prefers to live with him and start all over again from the bottom. They contracted, a tiny house at a price that was not so expensive. Then to meet their needs every day Mas Rangga also tried to apply for a job at another company, after which he returned busy with his novels.

Cindy laid her body back next to her two children who were still sound asleep. Laziness haunts him so much. In the morning what should he do? While the man he used to serve had returned to His lap.

It feels like Cindy wants to laze around this morning.

In let his mind glare away reminiscing when he first met Rangga, who is now gone.

Time passed and Cindy should feel grateful to God that the love in her heart did not clap one hand.

On a beautiful Sunday night when Rangga returned to visit him from taking him to the beautiful beach, the man revealed his heart how much he missed the girl.

With a flowery heart Cindy also received the heart feelings that Rangga conveyed to her. Really Cindy did not think that her love that had grown but had not been shown it, will get a similar reason. A love relationship was sweet between them. And Cindy can feel how much her love this time is more developed and make it soar like in the clouds. Seeing and feeling how deep the attention and affection, which Rangga showed him, the more convinced Cindy that the man was so sincere in love with her and did not look at her only as a low-educated girl. Rangga really sincerely loved her without caring that she was a poor village girl who fled from her hometown because she was not willing to be made a wife by Romeo.

The sweet bond that occurs between them may be continued happily if not one day a middle-aged woman with a fairly fat body and a cool look like a aunt came to his house.

"You're Cindy?" asked the woman without further ado as soon as she opened the door.

"Right, Auntie," he nodded respectfully "Please come in." Cindy's speech is friendly.

'No need!" Once the voice sounded. "My arrival we just want to warn you, you better stay away from Rangga." Said the woman.

"So..so Aunt Mas Rangga's mother?" Cindy gasped, and hurriedly bowed respectfully.

Indeed, this was the only time he saw directly the parents who had given birth to his beloved heart. Because during the relationship for several months, Rangga had not once invited him to his house to be introduced

with family.

'"Yes!" The middle-aged woman nodded firmly. "You know, Rangga is

our only son. Therefore, stay away from him. We don't want to have a daughter-in-law like you!" Follow that woman again.

At once Cindy felt her heart was like being crushed to hear a sentence that felt piercing her feelings.

"Please enter first Aunt," he said again trying to suppress the turmoil that immediately appeared in his heart.

"I told you, no need!" snapped the middle-aged woman then, "Listen I said Yes, don't try to get close to Rangga anymore! A girl like you doesn't deserve to be my daughter-in-law!" The woman was hard.

Then without turning away again, the fat woman turned her back, leaving Cindy still stunned. As soon as the woman passed by with her car, Cindy also seemed to wake up. Quickly he went into his room and threw his body on the bed.

What's to do now?

Should he leave his loved ones for the second time?

Should he again sacrifice himself for the happiness of Rangga and the wishes of his mother?

Remembering that back Cindy's tears spilled profusely. Memories of the past when he was still living in his village again flashed across his mind. Not Cindy does not know about her condition in the eyes of the good Rangga more everything. But the kindness and attention in the man' that not the slightest look at him from that angle has made him dare to accept the man's love. But unfortunately apparently the relationship this time will again run aground in the middle of the road. And the obstacle came from the Rangga family who did not approve of the relationship.

Cindy felt her heart instantly shatter into pieces imagining the breakup that would happen between her and Rangga.

Ah, should he feel some unforeseen heartache for the second time?

There is no right decision for Cindy to make at the moment. It is heavy to leave Rangga who has managed to make cheerful back in his days lately.

Ah. should he complain and tell the arrival of Rangga's parents to the man' or secretly leave him?

Wouldn't Rangga feel restless and curious if he left her again without news?

But, is it wise that he complains to the man' what his mother just said?

Mas Rangga's... The girl came back with tears. I really don't want to be separated from you until I leave you. But what do we have to do to solve this problem? The unstoppable impulse of emotions and feelings finally made Cindy take the final step.

As soon as Rangga came back three days later, Cindy poured all of her heart out on him.

"Mas," Cindy immediately rushed to hug her lover who hugged her back with a restless heart. "Really, I don't really want to be separated from you. But I can't go against your mother's wishes to have us separate..." Cindy explained.

Rangga was shocked and stunned...!!!

Squeezing the shoulder of the girl in her arms with a chaotic heart. A few weeks ago his mother caught him when he drove the girl home from dinner. His mother once asked the girl where he was related which she answered honestly who Cindy really was. Until finally, Rangga did not think that his mother would strongly oppose their relationship.

"Mas..," Cindy lifted her face and looked at the face before her deeply. "Your mother's right, Mas. I'm just a girl who means nothing. Better, you go back to your family. Forget about me..." Cindy said.

"No, Cindy," Rangga shook his head firmly. "You know, my parents have been trying to match me to the daughter of a relative for a long time. But I refused. I really don't like it that way. I want to choose for myself who the girl who will be my wife will be. I don't like being coerced like that!" Reply Rangga firmly.

"But, Mum... Your parents would be furious to find out you didn't follow their advice." Answer Cindy again.

"I don't care, Cindy," Rangga shook his head.

"Yesterday your mother told me you were her only son. Aren't you gonna regret that you didn't follow what they said?" Ask Cindy.

Rangga just took a deep breath and said, "You know, Cindy, all that will

I leave when I get one

the girl who can make my days

cheerful. Even if they don't approve of my choice

that's...." Rangga said calmly and confidently.
