ENDLESS HALLWAY

ENDLESS HALLWAY
CHAPTER 18: A SACRIFICE

The air was very cold even though it was slightly moist to go to the prison. The morning sun that had just appeared on the eastern horizon gave a little warmth. A young man sat pensively behind bars. The young man was none other than Rangga. He willingly sacrifices himself for the sake of a holy love for his lover Cindy. Because Rangga very know and understand with all the pressure of suffering that has been experienced by Cindy, then because of that, for the next Rangga willingly assume the reality that actually never did it. Whatever he would experience now, he had accepted with resignation and sincerity.

Rangga got up from his seat and stood staring at the arrival of the morning sunlight. Between the cracks the iron bars the warmth of the sun was enough to make his skin become fresh again.

Almost all night he could not close his eyes. Mosquitoes caw too much in their ears. Just when it was almost before dawn, Rangga had closed his eyes for a while. The mosquitoes also use the opportunity to suck the blood of Rangga. As soon as Rangga woke up, part of his body that was not covered by clothes became red nodules mosquito bite marks.

"Damn it!" Rangga's grunts poked a little.

An agency officer passed in front of Rangga.

"Good morning sir." Tegur Rangga soft.

"What's wrong?" Asked the officer while glaring his eyes.

Duh fierce, thought Rangga. "Have a cigarette, sir? My mouth is sour..."

The officer looked at the contents of his pouch and took out a pack of cigarettes. Then it was presented to Rangga. Cigarette smoking by Rangga. The officer handed him a match and Rangga lit his cigarette.

"Thank you sir." Rangga said with a smile.

The officer continued his steps with an indifferent look on his face. In the heart of Rangga can only grumble. While smoking a cigarette given by the agency officer, Rangga sat back on the floor and so enjoyed a cigarette for himself in a moment like this. The smoking was deep with a happy heart.

Moments later other agency officers approached the cell in Rangga residence. In front of the cell, the officer pulled the key out of his pocket. Rangga noticed the burly officer and on the surface of his hand was a black-black lump that was quite a lot. Rangga can guess that the officer of this institution may be an executioner. So the heart of Rangga dag dig dug when meeting with the officer's eyes. After the cell door opened Rangga's heart became increasingly shriveled.

"Go out and take a shower." The officer said.

Rangga's heart turned airy and relieved after hearing the officer's words. He thought the officer was going to beat him. So Rangga walked to the bathroom with escorted by the officer. Arriving at the place to take a bath, Rangga was stunned to see the inmates bathe in a crowd. They were naked and flushed with water from the well, Rangga half hesitated and timidly forced to undress. Rangga was forced to bathe with other inmates. His body that last night felt lethargic and not excited, now after being flushed by fresh water.

Before long Rangga sat on the prison floor, officials from the consumption department came with morning food. Rangga rather lazily accepted it. The agency officer passed after giving morning food to Rangga.

Just now Rangga was going to feed rice into his mouth, outside the iron bars already stood a beautiful girl. The shadow of the girl's body went into the prison and hit the floor. So Rangga slowly down the shadow and arrived at the end of the black shoes worn by a girl. Goggled in the eyes of Rangga when he saw who was standing outside the bars.

"Cindy...!"

The girl in tears when she saw Rangga sitting on the floor while scooping the rice given by the prison officer to her.

"Ladders..." Call Cindy raucous.

Rangga immediately put the spoon in his hand. Her eyes were glaring at Cindy.

"You're Cindy...?" Rangga said while rising up.

"I hope you don't show me here that we have a love affair. Even if I really want to hold you tight, Cindy." Rangga soft.

Cindy was down and powerless to stem her cries.

"Why do you want this kind of thing Rangga?" Ask Cindy lirih.

"It's all for my love for you Cindy. For the sake of this heart that is very sincere want to always see you happy. Pray that God will give you a good way out. You don't have to cry Cindy. I will always love you." Said Rangga steadily.

"How can I hold back my cry Rangga? While you are in that state

this kind. You really don't deserve the fact that it wasn't your fault." Cindy sobbed in her words.

Although his face bowed, but clearly his heart and feelings poured out over the state of his lover. So that it will not cause suspicion if actually between them there is a very deep love relationship.

Likewise, the mistake uttered by Rangga in front of the court table was not true to what he had done. All of that was done by Rangga just to defend his lover.

"I have no regrets and am saddened to accept this kind of situation. Because I've all this been willed." Sahut Rangga calms Cindy's heart with his beliefs.

Cindy raised her face and her eyes looked at Rangga deeply and tears flooded down Cindy's cheeks. The charming lips, red as the petals of a rose, looked pale without passion.

"Give your heart Cindy. We are required to keep each other loyal and sacrificial." Rangga.

"I know. I know it's not." Cindy said stammered.

"You better not be here too long, baby. Not that I meant to kick you out. But I don't want you to get involved with anything I believe I've done and I'm ready to do it." Rangga reminded.

"But Ngga..." Cindy stopped talking.

"Here you are. You really love me, don't you?" Rangga is obviously full of hope.

"Well..." Cindy nodded her head.

"Come home soon" said Rangga again.

"Ooooh Rangga." Cindy complains, in a sigh of heaviness.

The girl bowed for a moment, then looked at Rangga who was standing behind bars. Rangga's smile adorned his calm and resigned face. Cindy felt the meaning of Rangga's smile very and so deep as bowing down her soul and feeling full of longing.

By wiping away the details of tears on the cheeks. Cindy walked slowly away from the cell inhabited by her lover Rangga. The sadness brought by Cindy was very stabbing her heart.
