ENDLESS HALLWAY

ENDLESS HALLWAY
CHAPTER 32: GRATITUDE

"Don't be too sure of your thoughts that God has brought us back together to be reunited because I think everything has passed, Fadly. Forget about the past that once existed between us. We're not young anymore." Cindy tried to be an adult.

But the answer that came out of Cindy's mouth made Fadly uneasy. Now he advanced his seat and ventured to grab the fingers of the woman he had loved. And that certainly made Cindy shocked. Since her husband died, she has never been touched by another man even if only to hold his hand. Deska herself who has been hanging out with him for quite a long time has never done what Fadly is doing at this time.

"Cin," Fadly's eyeballs look more moody. Retracting Cindy's hand fingers and then in the warm kiss, making Cindy amazed. "I still love you. Only you are the ideal woman in my heart and I always miss day and night" she whispered in a trembling voice.

Seeing her attitude, Cindy almost fell. But the shadow of Fadly's wife who would not like her husband to play love again with another woman is clearly stated in his mind. Plus he doesn't want to be accused of being tired of destroying other people's households.

"I'm sorry, Dly," he said later with a tongue. "I know that you still love and love me. But that doesn't make us all stick together, Dly." Cindy said firmly.

"Why?" Fadly swallowed his bitter-tasting saliva.

"Because.. I. I've been betrothed to another man..," the remark just slid off Cindy's lips.

Perhaps, he indeed had to lie so that Fadly would understand and not force his will.

"So...?" Instantly Fadly's hand was off her fingers.

"There is another man who fills my heart and is ready to be the father of my children. In the near future, maybe we'll get married, "it's nervous Cindy put that line together. In his eyes flashed the face of Deska who was very fond of his children and had filled his days lately.

"Who's the lucky guy, Cin?" Fadly threw out her heavy breath.

"His age is quite far from me, Dly, but my children already know him and they can be good friends" Cindy finally explained.

A few moments of silence pervaded that lonely night. Back Fadly threw out her breath before finally saying.

"I'm sorry I was so emotional. Cin. You're right, maybe God hasn't betrothed us yet even though I was sure we'd be able to unite again because of our circumstances that I think are quite supportive." Fadly.

"God's plan is beyond estimation

man, Dly. I'm sorry too. Not that I meant to go back to hurting your heart." Cindy down.

There was no feeling of a speck of clear water dripping from the corner of his eye.

"It's okay," the man tried hard. "It's important we stay friendly, right?" Fadly.

Slowly Cindy nodded. How hard Fadly accepted the reality that was certainly quite painful for him. And Cindy can only

complaining slowly upon realising she must return, parting with the man once present in her heart. Destiny never wanted them to unite. His desire to make his son happy was greater than his own interests.

Let the story go and he's gone from his life...!!!

Let him try again to knit a new story that of course will not be passed by his own din, because now there are two people whose hearts must be more thought of than himself.

As soon as Fadly excused himself, Cindy also released the man with a heart that should be mixed with relief.

***

It was a bright Sunday night. Above the sky the stars shine brightly. On a park bench with a stretch of grass that spread green, two pairs of beaming eyes looked towards a pair of little boys running around

cheerfully. A smile on Cindy's happy lips looked at her two cheerful-looking children. So did Deska who sat by his side.

Cindy has been considering carefully for a few days about what decision she will make. No more doubts and worries in his day about Deska's wise and caring attitude. It may be that today the decision is worth revealing, but Cindy doesn't know where to start. The straight look of Deska exerts a look at her children who play not far from their seats.

Cindy's chest is fluttering...!!!

Secretly viewed him as a man who already looks mature both his age and behavior.

"Ah, no" said Cindy clumsy. He corrected his awkward-looking attitude.

"It looks like you seem restless," Deska said guessing. "If you have something to say, just say it." Continue Deska with a smile.

Cindy took a slow breath, trying to calm her heart that was racing.

"Hm, anu, Mas," said Cindy then so able to master the situation. "I want to give you an answer to the expression of the feeling that Mas told me the other day." Cindy continues.

"Yes?" At once Deska's eyeballs were beaming because honestly it had been a long time indeed Deska was waiting for that answer.

Apparently now is the time...!!!

"Tell me, Cindy," said Deska impatiently. "I will be ready to accept it, however pleasant or sad my heart may be..." Continue Deska remained with a smile and a soft word.

"Mas..," Cindy turned her face back. "I've thought through cooking, I. I will accept you..." Cindy continues.

"Ah, is that right, Cindy?" Deska took a breath. "Will you accept me to be your husband and father to your two children?" Deska said as if in disbelief.

"I've decided so, Mom," Cindy slowly nodded.

Hearing the fairly steady answer that without hesitation Deska immediately grabbed Cindy's fingers, then carried her to his chest.

"Really, I'm glad to hear this, Cindy. Believe me, I will try to be a good husband and father for our children later." said Deska, then look deep novelty.

"Mas," Cindy was no less important to hear that sentence. He slowly leaned his head against the sturdy shoulder of the man by his side.

"I've decided to put my love in your heart. Take good care, my dear, " whispered Cindy.

"Of course, my dear," Deska stroked the beautiful hair that was rubbed against her shoulder lovingly. "I will always love you, now until forever." Reply Deska Lirih.

"Thank you, Mom," a smile on Cindy's lips. He saw a star that glistened above the blue sky. Ah, let the heavens bear witness to the love of those who are pledged tonight. With a heart of flowers Deska was grasping and ******-******* his fingers are flattened Not forgetting the pronunciation of gratitude to. God has opened up a new way of life.

In the silence of their hearts

humming cheerfully.
