Adam's Denial
Adam and Alyla are in the backyard, "Speak up." said Adam.
"Partama can you let go of my hand" Adam's hand was not separated from Alyla as if afraid Alyla lost Adam continued to hold Alyla's hand.
Adam let go of her awkwardly "Sorry.." Adam just realized since then he did not take off Alyla's hand 'What did you do Adam' somehow it feels like not wanting to take off Alyla Adam's hand like being afraid of losing Alyla even when I saw her colleagues teasing Alyla with a man named Aldi that Adam's heart was like burning.
"Why not tell me if you want to talk about marriage?" Alyla asked after a moment of silence.
"Why do we have to say it again, don't we have a deal"
"But not so fast and it doesn't need to be announced in front of a lot of people like that"
"You mean we married in silence, so that you could freely associate with such men?"
Alyla furrowed her brows "What?.you mean what kind of talk is that?"
"You think I didn't see you talking to your boyfriend earlier"
"You mean Mr Aldi?"
"I don't care what his name is, which obviously don't get close to another guy from now on!"
Alyla chuckled "Are you jealous?"
Adam fluttered but in an instant his countenance returned flat "I am not jealous, I just want you to keep my good name and my family, now you are my future wife, my wife,I don't want people to consider you a cheap woman who is close to all men, and puts my family to shame!" Adam wanted to hit his own mouth because he had spoken carelessly.
Adam's statement managed to pull Alyla a bitter smile was displayed Alyla of course Adam will not be jealous because Adam does not love him, Alyla also nodded "Sure, but why did you not tell me before, but why did you not tell me before,if I had known I might have noticed my appearance so as not to put your family to shame."
"I'm done" Adam's speech stopped because Alyla interrupted.Alyla chose to stop the chatter rather than make her heart hurt more.
"All right then let's go back to the front" Adam was about to grab Alyla's hand back but Alyla dodged.
"Please don't be like that" Alyla didn't want Adam to hold her hand again.
"Why? I'm your future husband now"
"At least this is what I can keep from being labeled as a cheap woman" Alyla said.
Adam chuckles"Even I've touched you more than I can produce Azka"
"Whatever, but that's what I believe now that we don't have a bond to touch each other" Adam had to talk like that, did Adam Alyla's heart hurt when he remembered all that.
Alyla did not want to remember that again even though Azka was a blessing to her, but everything that happened before Azka was a mistake,of course it was also his fault if he had not fallen into the game Aluna all that might not happen.
Adam just passed by without looking at Alyla, Adam actually felt guilty for what he said, but Adam did not want to waver, Adam wanted to deny that his heart ached to see Alyla's moody look.
Whether what he felt, he hated to see Alyla close to another man, Adam tried to erase his jealousy by hurting Alyla with his words, but his heart even hurt with his own words.
Alyla was sitting on a bench in the back garden, her legs had been limp since then, but she did not want to look weak in front of Adam, her eyes were straight ahead somehow seeing if her eyes looked empty.
Alyla breathed in the deep air, hoping that her eyes would not let out a clear grain, Alyla got up she wanted to go home immediately and shut herself in the room and cried as much as usual.
