Meet the City Lord and Buy a Rabbit

Just in the morning, when Julian had just cleaned himself up, he was called by Lenna who was panicking because the city lord had come to the orphanage.

Julian who was curious about the city lord immediately went down to the first floor. There, he saw that there was a male elf wearing quality clothes and the aura he released indicated that he was not an ordinary person.

"Master?" julian hesitantly said.

"Mr Julian, nice to meet you. I am Rydel Zumlen Erhenora, you can call me Rydel" said Rydel, who is the city lord of Elrei City.

Rydel was a fairly tall elf, her hair was only long on the back tied with hairbands, the front and sides were quite short just like male hairstyles.

His eyes have a green color and he has a stature that is quite athletic not thin and not padded which makes him very handsome.

"Erhenora!? Isn't that the name of the elf kingdom!? That means this elf in front of me is a member of the royal family!?" inner Julian was shocked by Rydel's identity.

"It's nice to meet you, Mr. Rydel. My name is Julian Roley, you can call me Julian." Then Julian shook hands with Rydel.

Lenna who saw that the two of them had gotten acquainted bowed her body slightly and left them in the living room.

"Mr Julian, I've got word from the captain of the guard. I thank you on behalf of City Lord Elrei to you." Rydel lowered his head to thank Julian.

Julian was a little surprised, then he said, "Please raise your head. I'm also happy that the children were saved so quickly."

"I was only able to come to this orphanage because yesterday I had a meeting that required me to be there" Rydel said in a regretful tone.

"It's okay, you just come I'm grateful" Julian said with a smile.

After a short pleasantry, they then began to talk about the main topic. Rydel asks the full story of the abduction of the orphanage children and Julian explains it in great detail without hiding anything.

Rydel listened to her very seriously and she looked very angry when she heard that the children of the orphanage were kidnapped by slave traders.

"I think I need to tighten up the surveillance so this doesn't happen again." Rydel exhaled a long breath.

Julian also let out a long breath, then he said, "By the way, City lord, can I ask you one question?"

"Hm? Of course, please." Rydel nodded and invited Julian to ask.

Julian threw away his smile and asked with a serious face, "Why is the city government not giving funds to this Elrei Orphanage?"

Rydel frowned and said, "What? No, I've been giving about 5 to 10 silvers to the orphanage every month. How could the government do such a cruel thing?"

Julian sighed and said, "If that's true then the condition of the orphanage is not what it is now. Please look around, look at this orphanage building, look at the clothes they're wearing."

Rydel turned his head and looked around according to Julian's words. He saw the condition of the building that was fragile, the walls and roof were full of holes, clothes that were almost not worth wearing, and so on.

"Master of the city, I'm sure you're not lying. That means that there are officials who embezzle funds for this orphanage and it has been going on for six more months" Julian said seriously.

"I'll investigate" Rydel nodded.

After a short chat, Rydel greeted the others and then returned to the city office to investigate the matter regarding the funds for the orphanage.

After Rydel leaves, Karina and the women approach Julian and ask what they are both talking about. Julian told them what he and Rydel were talking about.

"Given the temprament of the city lord, I don't think it's possible for him to embezzle funds" Karina said after recalling Rydel's appearance and the aura he gave off.

"Well, then there are other officials who embezzle these funds. Let's wait for the results of the investigation" Julian said.

They nod, then Karina and Claire tell Julian the idea they were thinking of helping the orphanage earn some extra money.

Julian listened to it seriously, the ideas they thought about were good enough to implement because it only required a little capital and was suitable for an orphanage.

First, a small farm. Karina thought of making a chicken farm or other poultry because poultry animals are quite easy to care for and can be sold eggs or meat.

Second, make clothes. Claire saw there was a pile of used cloth in the orphanage warehouse. He proposed that the orphanage make simple clothes that could be sold at low prices.

Third, wash clothes. Claire also proposes that the orphanage receive laundry services, but since there are only children so for a while this proposal will be ruled out.

"Your ideas are interesting, especially the first and second ideas. Because it only requires a little capital and the children of the orphanage can also help," Julian nods.

"But Julian, I've asked Mrs Lenna that there are no chickens around here and that the merchants are selling chickens from other regions. So I guess my idea didn't match up" Karina said with a regretful expression.

"Then we apply the idea of raising small. Let's find out what animals are around this and can be farmed easily" Julian said.

"Then Claire, you talked about your idea to Mrs Lenna. If you can't make clothes, just make accessories from fabric because it's easier" he continued.

"Good, Master!" Claire nodded and went to look for Lenna.

Meanwhile Julian and Karina leave the orphanage and seek information about animals that can be farmed and can be treated easily.

And after several hours of searching for information at once discussing, they finally reached the decision to raise rabbits because it was quite easy.

There's a rabbit around here and Julian's seen it. Rabbits here are the same size as rabbits on earth but their appearance is slightly different.

Rabbits here have a tail that is not short and also hairy. The tail looks like a cat's tail. Then the rabbits here have small horns on their foreheads that are only the size of a fingernail.

Julian bought a lot of rabbits from animal traders, the price is also quite cheap. He bought 20 rabbits for a total price of one silver coin which meant that the price of each rabbit was 50 copper coins.

Julian and Karina carry a box containing rabbits in it. They cannot store it in storage rings or inventory because they cannot store living things.

So they brought two fairly large boxes and walked towards the orphanage. When he gets there, Julian immediately tells Karina's idea to Lenna and Lenna is quite surprised by the idea because she never thinks about it.

"I think I'm old, how can I not think about it" Lenna said with a deep sigh.

"Haha, don't be like that, ma'am. Although it is easy but with the situation of the orphanage now it is quite difficult to buy rabbits" said Julian.

Lenna nodded and said, "Right as well, we're even short of money to buy food. How can we think of buying rabbits."

"Then Madam, please put this rabbit somewhere first and feed them with leftover vegetables. We don't have a cage yet to put them in" Julian said.

"Yes." Yeah." Lenna nodded then she told the nanny to bring two boxes of rabbits inside the building.

And just as Julian was about to rest, suddenly there was a pretty fancy horse carriage coming. Julian of course knew who was coming because he knew who the owner of this horse carriage was.

The horse carriage door opened and Rydel came down. He walked up to Julian and said he knew where the orphanage was going.

"Very fast? Comein. Let's talk inside, Mr. City." Julian was a little surprised and he let Rydel in.
