Yudi wanted to try to live without worldly burdens. He wants to release little by little his thoughts that are still bound by the possessions of luxury, as well as the desires of the pleasures of the world. Yudi wants to remove the burden of life as if chasing his footsteps, then bind his body, giving a heavy burden with various worldly temptations. Of course this is not easy.
After getting an explanation from one of the priests, related to him being allowed to stay in the temple without being restricted, Yudi felt relieved to be able to do activities that would be able to entertain his heart. He still could not get out of the temple. Yudi ordered a painting kit. Of course to temple workers who often go out for shopping. Yudi made a note of the need. Not all equipment pictures, just the staple. Yudi ordered canvas, brushes, pallets and oil paints. Canvas ordered quite a lot. Can be used in a few days at least. As for the oil paint, Yudi ordered some colors. The important basic color or primary color referred to as Hue must exist, namely the main color consisting of blue, red and yellow. These three basic colors are colors that can be combined and produce other derived colors.
In Kyoto, to get the drawing equipment is very easy. It's even easier than the jogja. Of course because in Kyoto many artists as well as in Jogja. Many shops sell painting equipment. Even very complete. And of course, more variety.
How happy Yudi was when the worker who was asked for help to buy the painting equipment arrived with a large cardboard containing Yudi's order.
"Domo arigatogozaimasu ..." said Yudi who thanked the person who brought the order, bowing his body many times.
"Peinto dekimasu?" the worker who bought the painting equipment asked Yudi if he could paint.
Yudi smiled. Not giving words answers. He will prove that he can paint. After receiving the painting equipment, Yudi stored his painting equipment items in his room. Then Yudi took one of the medium-sized canvases, as well as palettes, brushes and paints. Yudi stepped to the river bank. Then put the canvas leaning on the tree trunk.
Yudi stood in front of the canvas, staring at the beautiful scenery of the Kibune river that was colored with natural plants that were very old. Then take the paint from the tube, applied to the pallet. Large brushes dipped into oil. There was a little oil dripping on the palette, right on top of the paint. Then the paint that has been exposed to the oil is stirred with a brush. Yudi's hand immediately applied a brush on his canvas. A few times, the canvas has changed color.
Next, Yudi mixed the other colors. Pour on the canvas with his little brushes. The painting is visible.
Some of the temple workers who happened to be near where Yudi painted, stopped for a moment. They were tempted by what Yudi did. Yes, only this time did they witness people painting inside the temple. Then the temple workers approached, watching Yudi more closely. It turns out that painting is very good. It resembles a painted object, a view of the Kibune River.
The news of Yudi painting the beautiful view of the Kibune River immediately spread to the ears of the priests. So the priests wanted to know the truth told by the workers. They immediately went to the place where Yudi was painting.
Yudi was still trying to add a beautiful feel to his painting, when six priests came on the banks of the Kibune River, to the place where Yudi was finishing his painting.
"Namihazureta ..." The priests said amazingly, of course, nodding
chief, a sign of admiration for Yudi's painting.
"Oseji arigatogozaimasu." Yudi who heard the praises of the priests who were there, he immediately turned around and bowed his body. He was very happy to get the attention of the priests.
Then Yudi also told the priests about his loneliness at the temple. So to drive away the lonely, Yudi asked permission to occupy himself by painting various objects in the temple. Of course Yudi did not want to be rash to paint various objects in that place.
But apparently, the welcome from the priests really surprised Yudi. Because he was asked to
painting the Great Priest or their elders.
"Dai saishi no kao o kaku koto ga dekimasu ka?" said the priests who asked Yudi to be willing to paint the Great Priest.
"Kyoka shite kudasai .., nanika ga machigatte iru baai wa watashi o tasuketekudasai." said Yudi.
Yudi did not dare to refuse. So with humility, he begged permission to paint the Great Priest and asked for directions if there was a shortage in painting. Surely Yudi could not finish it in a short time, because he had only seen once the face of the Great Priest at the meeting yesterday.
Yudi who has completed the painting of the Kibune River, then put his painting in the emperor hall, on the stone supporting pole. The goal is to dry quickly and not exposed to snow fall. Certainly at a rather high place, and easily seen by anyone who passes to the temple to pray, including the general public who want to
prays.
Now Yudi began to concentrate on painting the Great Priest. Must be in a quiet place and
not disturbed. So Yudi decided to paint the Great Priestess in the room of the meeting hall of the priests. The room was never used for public use, rarely entered by people, and the place was a bit far from the temple where praying was held. And of course, Yudi is easier to remember the face of the Pastor because in that place a few days ago he listened to the advice of the Great Priest. Surely Yudi was still ringing with his advice. Of course Yudi can re-permeate the advice and imagine the face of a fruitful person. Then put it on the canvas.
A full day Yudi was in the room he had heard the advice of the Great Priest. Intermingle
Yudi cleaned his palette and brushes. Of course he wants to rest. Tired of the whole day with the canvas. And of course hungry too. But at least the image of the Priest has lived finishing. The rudimentary painting he lives in the hall, and will be completed tomorrow.
Just coming out of the hall room, there were three young priests who met Yudi. Then the three young priests said that Yudi was sought by the Great Priest.
Judi's heart beat. His blood is flowing fast. There was a growing fear within him. There must be something unfavorable to the Great Priest. Could it be because he had already painted in the temple area? Will Yudi be scolded? Yudi. Whatever the Great Priestess will say, she will accept it.
Yudi followed three priests who would present themselves to the Elder. But just stepping will leave the meeting room, suddenly the priest elders who will be visited are already in that place. Yudi immediately bowed his body, a sign of respect.
"Anata wa hontoni watashi o rigid tsumoridesu ka?" the Great Priestess said to Yudi, who asked if it was true that Yudi would paint him.
"Dai saishi no kyoka o motomeru. Yuruseba bokushi-san o peinto shimasu." Yudi replied asking permission to paint the Priest.
The Great Priest nodded. He smiled at Yudi. Signs agree.
Yudi smiled back. And it was very clear the beautiful smile of a hundred-year-old priest, but still like the smile of a one-year-old boy. What a truly impressive sinless face.
Yudi went back in, which was certainly followed by the priest elder and three young priests who were behind him. Then Yudi took a canvas painting that has been seen the image of the Great Priest. He showed it to the Great Priest. Although it is not finished, but the painting looks good.
"Namihazureta ..." said the Great Priest who admired Yudi's painting.
"Arigatogozaimashita." Yudi thanked the praise of the Great Priest, while bowing his body.
"Jibun no supesu ni hyouji dekimasu ka?" said the Great Priestess who could not wait to put up the painting.
"Kono e wa mada kansei shite imasen." Yudi said that the picture is not perfect. Yudi also asked permission to finish immediately to look more beautiful. Then Yudi asked permission to see the face of the Priest. Of course to convince his observations with those that will be poured on the painting.
Well, that night, Yudi did not come out of the hall room, but immediately finished the painting of the Priest. Although it is just polishing beauty, but for Yudi it fills the spirit and soul of painting, so that the painting really looks alive.
But Yudi is a great painter. No doubt about his skills. He soon made the painting perfect. Moreover, the Great Priestess also waited for Yudi to paint. Inevitably, Yudi had to finish it. In the end, the painting really did.
"Kore wa kare no e no kekkadesu, dai saishi ga yorokobu kamo shiremasen" said Yudi who conveyed the painting of the Great Priest, of course while saying that the painting paint was not dry.
The priest smiled happily. He patted Yudi on the shoulder, a sign of pride in Yudi. Then he said, "Kono basho ni subete o kaku."
The Great Priest smiled again. He gave Yudi the opportunity to paint all the beautiful things about the Kifune Temple.
Relieved of Yudi's heart. Naturally he could re-express his abilities, pouring the beauty of the Shinto Kifune Temple into the canvas. Although his stomach was hungry, but because of happiness, the hungry stomach was no longer felt.
Yudi began to paint the sights of Kifune Temple. The beauty of the river, waterfalls, large natural trees, as well as the beauty of the temple building, did not escape from Yudi's paintings. And in just a few days, Yudi has produced many paintings. Of course high-class painting.
Yudi's paintings are displayed on the terrace of the hall, every day into a crowd of people who want to see. People from around the temple who want to pray also witnessed the beautiful paintings. Moreover, the tourists who come to Kifune Temple, whether it is for worship or just a picnic, will not miss the painting of Yudi, which by the temple workers, will not miss, every morning it is displayed on the front of the page. Apparently, the paintings of Yudi are now also an attraction for tourists to come to Kifune Temple. Someone must have bought.
For Yudi, the current price of his painting is not important. Because this painting is done by Yudi as a free time filler so that his mind does not flinch. Anyway the selling price of the painting can be used to buy painting materials back. At least it can be used to paint again. Yudi also did not stop painting, although he also did not stop to sweep and clean the temple yard every morning.
Day by day passed. Yudi's paintings have been sold. And not only among ordinary people, but also there are art lovers who like and are amazed by Yudi paintings. There were even those who came directly to meet Yudi for the painting message. Even now, a new job came for him. There were some children who came to the temple, asking Yudi to be taught to paint.
Yudi, who had received the Sufi teachings from the Reverend, gave his knowledge to anyone who would study him. And the paintings are getting more and more beautiful with the spirit and soul of the Kifune Temple.
