LOVE BLOWS FROM REUNION

LOVE BLOWS FROM REUNION
Episode 5: JOGJA AT NIGHT

JOGJA, a tourist city that never sleeps. Beautiful and exciting. Night in Jogja, it is more enchanting. People are on the out, enjoying the beauty of the night atmosphere in every corner of the city. Tourists will feel a loss if they do not enjoy the beautiful atmosphere. Likewise Hamdan and Rini, do not want to miss the night in Jogja. They rushed for a walk, while looking for dinner.

"Sir, tricycles ...!" exclaim Hamdan called the rickshawman who was on the side of the road next to the hotel. There are some rickshaws parked. All drivers wear Jogja striated clothes and wear a Mataram blangkon. Yes, they are in groups to form a paguyuban, specifically to take tourists. Some are in Malioboro, some are in Tugu, and many are in big hotels. Including the one in front of the Grand Hotel, where Hamdan and Rini stayed.

"Corn, Father." said one of the rickshawmen, who immediately brought his rickshaw to the person who invited. "Want to go around town, Father?" ask the tricycles next.

"Yes, Sir. Take a walk." replied Hamdan.

"That's ten thousand, sir. Later I will take to the Dagadu factory, batik shop, bakpia shop and through Malioboro." explained the pedicab.

Hamdan and Rini went up to the rickshaw, "Slow down, sir" said Rini.

    "Yes, ma'am." replied the pedicab.

"How much overnight, sir." asked Hamdan, wanting to know the salary of the rickshawman.

"Lumayan, Sir. If it's this crowded, it can be fifty thousand, sir." replied the rickshawman.

"If for example I chartered last night, I paid fifty grand, would you?" ask Hamdan again.

"Where are you going, sir?" ask the pedicab guy.

"Just take a walk, just look at an interesting place. Kan who knows the wayyan." replied Hamdan.

"Yes, Sir .... Ready." said the rickshawman.

"If we're going to eat first, where?" rini asked, "Our stomach is still empty, sir." he continued.

"What kind of food do you want, ma'am?" ask the pedicab guy.

"there's a place to hang out, sir." said Hamdan.

"On Malioboro only yes, sir. Lots of menu options." replied the rickshawman.

    "Again." said Rini.

The pedicab driver rang his rickshaw towards Malioboro, driving his customers to enjoy dinner. Not far from the hotel. In a short time, they have arrived at the Malioboro culinary depot. The rickshawman stopped the pedicab. Hamdan and Rini got off the rickshaw, directly observing the culinary screens with various writings that display a variety of food menus, ranging from pecel rempelo ati, pecel catfish, fried chicken, fried duck, pigeons, etc, quail, sea food, gudeg rice, fried rice, bakmi and various other various menus. The food stalls are lined up along the south side of Malioboro Street. Although many, all are crowded and crowded. Hamdan and Rini took a plastic chair, to sit down.

"I want to eat fried duck, Pah" said Rini.

"I'm like a nyemek, the chili is whole." - Hamdan.

"The pedicab, Pah ..." asked Rini to Hamdan.

"Oh, yeah. Mr ...! Here ...!" shouted Hamdan while waving his hands to call the pedicab attendant who had been dropping him off.

"Yes, sir." said the rickshawman who went straight to Hamdan, "What's up. Sir?" tanyakanya.

"Eat first. Please choose for yourself, what message" said Hamdan told the rickshawman to order food.

"Yes, Sir. Thank you." replied the rickshawman, "Order rice pecel rempelo ati, drink iced tea." he continued ordering food to the seller.

Hamdan and Rini enjoyed the meal. Their ears are attracted to the sound of Malioboro sidewalk concerts, which play typical music of Jogja artists. Love songs that are sung, arousing feelings until translucent in the heart. Yes, not far from them eating, there are young people who sing with their good wedding music. They were buskers with high artistic souls. So many of them become famous artists, such as KLA Project with its singer Katon Bagaskara.

"The music is melodious ..." muttered Hamdan.

"Yes, his voice is good. The verse is also cool, Pah." said Rini.

"Father can request a song, you know .." said the culinary seller.

    "Oh, yeah ...?" sahut Hamdan's.

Although you can request songs, neither Hamdan nor Rini want to. He just wants to enjoy eating while listening to his song. For they will soon continue their walk through the city.

"Sixty thousand, sir." replied the merchant.

Hamdan gawked, because it was so cheap. Eating three people only runs out sixty thousand. Like this if in Jakarta, it has run out one hundred and fifty thousand, the mind. After paying, they continued their journey.

"Where else, sir?" rini asked the pedicab boy.

"Mom and Dad want to shop for Dagadu T-shirts?" ask the pedicab guy.

"May ..." said Hamdan along with Rini.

The pedicab driver immediately ramped his pedicab straight south, then turned a little left, towards the square. Arrived at the Dagadu booth, a typical T-shirt with anecdotal writings ala Jogja children. Various kinds of writing that is funny, strange, critical, everything tickles that read. Various colors, various sizes. The price varies, according to the size of the shirt. Rini bought a lot. Tomorrow will be distributed for souvenirs, for Mang Udel, Mas Jo, Mak Mun, and her husband's employees who often go home.

After finishing shopping for typical T-shirts, Becak continued the journey to the square. The icon of Jogja City is the palace with its square. The night atmosphere in Jogja square is very beautiful with flickering colorful lights from ornamental bicycles. That is, the bike is modified into unique shapes coupled with a variety of LED lights with various colors, so that the modification shapes resemble various forms. Some are shaped like VW cars, some resemble garuda birds, some are like swans, some are lion-shaped, as well as various other forms. The ornamental bicycle was rented only at a cost of ten thousand rupiah. Very inexpensive. Tenants can ride around the square. Rini and Hamdan just watch the beauty of the shape of the decorative lights. Understandably, his age is getting old, it is no longer possible to ramp up a bicycle around the square.

After being satisfied to watch the beauty of the ornamental bike, Hamdan and Rini again ride the rickshaw. This time the rickshawman offers to watch the beauty of the night in Tugu Jogja. Hamdan and Rini agree. Agree with the rickshaw guy's offer. The rickshawman immediately drove his pedicab towards the north, towards Tugu Jogja. Yes, Tugu Jogja which is the actual name is Tugu Golong Gilig, is a heritage building of Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono First who founded the Yogyakarta Palace. It is said that according to history, this Gilig Column is one of the points of a straight line connecting Mount Merapi, Tugu, Keraton Jogja and the South Sea Gate. This imaginary magical line is a philosophy of uniting the natural wealth of agriculture provided by Mount Merapi, the wealth of marine resources provided by the South Sea, as a source of prosperity of the Jogja Palace and the entire Mataram community. So called Golong Gilik, it means to unite the determination of the togetherness of all the people.

Tugu Jogja is the number two night tourist attraction after Malioboro. Then tourists usually take the time to come to Tugu Jogja. There they immediately stood in front of the monument, immediately taking pictures. Can be by way of selfie photos or photo messages to photographers who offer many services around the place. Beautiful night in Tugu Jogja, seen from the many young people who are hanging out around the monument.

From Tugu Jogja to the south, there is a road to the largest train station in Jogja, namely Tugu Station. The dim lights that adorn the streets add to the warm atmosphere. Along the road from the monument to the station, there are many cafes selling various foods and drinks. On the sidewalk there are park chairs deliberately installed by the Government, always full of young people who sit waiting for the night. Ronde peddlers who hang out on the sidewalk offer their wares to people who relax along the way. Boisterous street music was heard, singing commercial songs.

Hamdan and Rini were still on the rickshaw, to witness the beauty of it all.

"Mom and Dad want to take a picture at the monument?" ask the pedicab.

"No need, sir. Walk slowly." replied Hamdan.

"What's famous here, sir?" rini asked the rickshawman.

"That's a nod, Cafe Loco, Ma'am. The place is next to the station." replied the rickshawman.

"Then we go there." said Hamdan.

"Well, Father." replied the rickshawman who immediately ramped up his tricycles to Cafe Loco. Not long after, the rickshaw arrived at its intended place.

Hamdan and Rini get off the rickshaw. Two husband and wife were amazed by the crowded cafe. The concept built is very unique. As the name implies, loco comes from the word locomotive or train. The place is attached to the station, the model is like a train. Interesting culinary offers. Hamdan and Rini get into the cafe, want to taste the sensation that is sold.

"Come, sir .., let's go for a walk" Hamdan told the pedicab attendant, having finished enjoying coffee from Cafe Loco.

"Jam, Mommy, Mother .... Monggo." replied the pedicab.

"Where else are we going, sir?" ask Rini.

"Actually there is a good one again, Mother, which is the Rainbow Garden, but the place is far away. We have to go to Monjali. There is another night tourism object, namely the Door of Heaven. This place is also far away, must be to Bantul. I can't afford to go" said the rickshawman.

"Then, next time. Now we go back to the hotel" Hamdan said.

"Jih, Sir .... Siaaap ..." replied the rickshawman who immediately ramped up his rickshaw towards the Grand Hotel.

Although returning home, a rickshawman who knows very well the tourist attractions in Jogja, did not immediately send his becak to the hotel. He went around to beautiful places that his customers could enjoy. Crossing the valley of Kali Code, see the ancient buildings of Dutch heritage, along the palace fortress, as well as other beautiful places. Not only passing through, this rickshawman is also good at telling the history of every place crossed. Of course Hamdan and Rini are thumbs up for the knowledge of pedicab.

It was late at night, the rickshaw Hamdan and Rini were riding in front of the hotel. Hamdan passed a hundred thousand note from his wallet, then gave it to the rickshawman.

"Waaah ..., sir, no change ..." said the rickshawman who received the money.

"No need to run. I am happy, have been escorted around Jogja. Take the change for your wife." said Hamdan.

"Waaah .., thank you, Den ..." said the rickshawman who immediately greeted Hamdan.

Next, Rini and Hamdan entered the hotel, with a feeling of pleasure, joy, amazement to see the beauty of Jogja City at night. Although not all. Hopefully this atmosphere will be repeated later, to witness the other beauties, which certainly no less amazed.

Once again, Rini kissed her husband, "Thank you, Pah ...."
