LUCEM

LUCEM
The Chapter XXVII

“My name is Venus and she is Magenta,” said the man beside Rong introduced himself.

“Rong. I've seen your name and Miss Magenta written in a blue-covered book,” said Rong.

“Hah, it turns out that Master has met the rotten old man, he is blessed with a very long age,” Venus grinned.

“You know what will happen, Mr Rong?”

Rong.

“Today there will be a natural disaster in this kingdom,” Venus said. “Thousands of people will die, if possible get out of here.. now,”. His words startled Rong who thought that only he knew the estimate.

Rong stared at Venus for a moment and turned to Magenta, the woman seemed not distracted at all with the conversation beside her, she kept walking by looking straight ahead. Rong has learned Magenta is one of the king's best witch hunters, devoted to rooting out wild magic and sharing what the kingdom calls justice. Venus has very little information about it.

The three halted their steps as General Panpan gestured.

The crowd had arrived at a field that bordered the dark forest. Rong increases alertness.

Everything has been prepared.

A group of robed youths made a line in front of the bridge connecting the field with the dark forest. Prayers were chanted and dances swirled from the men with robes and high hats accompanying them. The King Grimo coughed as smoke from the offering plate flashed past him. Bababawanna gestured for the waiter to approach. A bowl was placed on the king.

From a distance, an old man with ash hair was seen. He raised his hand high, General Panpan nodded. Two bodyguards were ordered to approach the old man and direct him into Rong's small group. Arriving, there were brief whispers between General Panpan and the old man. Rong watched without saying.

The prayers and dancing stopped. The Grimo King patted his chest slowly. Bababawanna was seen whispering something in the king's ear.

“Gather them and get started!” exclaimed the standing Grimo king resting on his staff.

“Only, you know what to do,” said general Panpan politely.

The old man guided the three to walk across the line of robed men and approach the border bridge towards the dark forest.

“You are the chosen one, do not disappoint us,” Old man stared intently at Magenta as he said the last sentence.

The three unrolled each other, Rong glared. “What demons are in there?”

The old man chuckled. “Satan Japan, but they are mute.”

“Start!” Magenta's voice surprised Rong.

“Always impatient,” old man again chuckles.

It was seen that a number of armed soldiers were on standby and the row of robed men were closing in. The Grimo King was seen standing watching closely. Her pale skin did not improve at all under the warmth of the sun.

“Today is the result of your calculation, Rong. I always trust his accuracy,” the old man stared at Rong.

“And your magic ability,” he switched on Magenta.

Rong held back curiosity at the usefulness of the man named Venus by her side.

A turquoise colored light appeared on Magenta's right hand that was raised as high as his chest. The old man gestured for Rong to start reading the writing in the scroll he had opened.

Venus looked pale, and the huge crowd watching started muttering to each other as the wind suddenly blew from the dark forest. Rong remained focused on the reels. The line of robed men looked agitated.

Rong raised his voice as Magenta shouted at him that his voice was too slow. Until something at the end of the bridge seemed open. Riven. The ground cracked under Magenta's feet. The sun was flashing, the darkness and light were blazing, the atmosphere was stiff, frozen. And clouds... Something is wrong with the clouds. They're crumbling.

The rong avoids eruptions on the ground and ducks in time to avoid a bunch of vines growing in the air. A distant mass of black smoke bubbled up to an astronomical size, as it began to rapidly glide towards the field right where the King Grimo and everyone were, at that moment, The rong tightens its grip on the reels in the hand and ducks in for cover. But the smoke then evaporates with the wind before falling touching anything.

The trees could not decide whether to stand up or lie down, gusts of wind blew from the ground with frightening force, and suddenly the sky was filled with birds. Full of fucking black birds.

The Grimo King looked down, his old hand trembling over the staff in his grasp. Bababawanna repeatedly whispered something into the Grimoland ruler's ear.

Venus stood unmoved, her gaze never separated from Magenta and seemed to ignore what happened to the surroundings. The woman was now uncontrollable, her eyes were turning white and her body was enveloped in a greenish light.

Rong knows that Magenta's telekinetic and psychokinetic powers, the chosen sorcerer of Ghoyanta's descendants are almost as godlike, yet it surpasses anything Rong had ever anticipated and had never seen before. Wildly.

Rong looked for the whereabouts of the old man, but the man was nowhere to be seen.

Once again, a wave of black smoke shot out rapidly, this time coming from within the darkened hutam, he crossed the bridge and uprooted everything that passed him and stopped right in front of Magenta before being thrown back with a scream that hurt the ears that heard him. Rong tried to cover her ears tightly. Some of the robed men in the line fell down by holding their ears that flowed blood, and a number of other robed men came forward to fill the empty space in the line while chanting mantras and prayers.

Magenta said something, but Rong was unable to catch his words. Rong looked at Venus by asking.

“They have come,” Venus gazing into the dark forest. Rong froze as he saw a bunch of tall black figures moving rapidly towards them in an amount he could not foresee.
